Any science behind it?
It's not a treatment for hairloss. It just gives you fuller hair

I'm not sure what other countries refer to as talcum powder. In Britain we use it on babies and dry skin etc
But if you want your transplant results to look even better. Slather that stuff
That's my tip of the day if it helps anyone

You look better with no hair

Age: 31
Clinic: Dr Demirsoy, Istanbul
Grafts: 2742
Price: £2900The Good- Fine experience, probably the best vacation I ever had. The value for money including hotels, food, airline etc is amazing and that's before surgery. Demirsoy has good doctoral knowledge, I know this because he knew about a rare disorder that I have, which impressed me. His team, including the legendary Muzaffer were also great.
The Bad- Shock loss on crown but seems to be recovering. Demirsoy doesn't like low hairlines but in end this turned out ok. Istanbul is an interesting place but watch out for street scammers. I had a run in with a taxi man also who wanted more money. It's nothing personal, just business. Stand your ground.
Months 0-4 - Hoping for more density but so far I am pleased

The loss of a few grafts with FUE outweighs the risk of scar with FUT in my opinion
FUE all the way
-
It doesn't look that bad mate. A touch of toppik and you'd see a further difference
It's not ideal but without meds that's life

I took 6 months off 😀
But I suffer from chronic health condition so doctors note was easy to obtain

My hair loss is norwood 6 and my donor area is not the best.
I hate to sound pessimistic and the choice is totally yours but if this was me - I wouldn't get a transplant
Without existing hair quality you're looking at a more difficult road. Have you looked at hair systems? They're amazing now

Getting a transplant still means i need to take propecia and minoxidil to keep that hair. I m really aware of the possible side effect, and as i said earlier, i wouldnt ever fuck with hormones since i m not a person that could do it most likely. So you do realize i would need to jump on finestiride at some point if i really wanted to keep my hair? Minoxidil alone stops working after some time. DHT needs to be stopped in scalp.
I do respect your advice because you are not so easily jumping on the finestiride train. But i do think its neccacary at some point in hairloss. Thats why i was looking for topical finestirideMy hairloss like many is extremely slow. I've avoided finasteride for 10 years. Now with my transplant I've bought myself maybe another 10 years for a new treatment to hit the market. Maybe it never will. In which case I could always get a 2nd procedure. The worst case scenario is my hairloss suddenly becoming aggressive (doubt it) in which case I might resort to meds
It's an ugly fight I know. There is no easy route

I'm a Demirsoy customer too, month 3 and going well. You're in good hands
Happy growing

Again, looks ok to me. You can either -
1) Jump on meds, probably for life, risking the sides
2) Wait it out. Get a transplant at 30. Use toppik in meantime
I choose the latter and have no regrets
-
Do absolutely nothing. Your hair is fine
Drugs are a big decision with potential consequences
Transplants recover lost ground
You don't need either at the moment

Funnily enough David Silva was the reason I got mine. Seeing his results changed my opinion of HT's. For a long time it was a "Wayne Rooney thing"

Thought I'd update this in case it helps anyone
My crown now looks much better 3 months later
Shock loss can indeed affect "untouched" areas
-
Lol exactly the same story/doctor/grafts as me. Nearly word for word identical
I am already 3 months however, and might comfort you to know it's going great
Wish I could try that chicken breast again though!

You need realistic expectations. It's good work in my opinion
A touch of Toppik or 2nd procedure and you'll be laughing
-
They give you a drug to calm you down which feels great. And everything is numbed so you barely feel anything. The position I was sat in I never saw a needle or any blood or equipment. It's a case of lying back, relaxing and let them do their work. I found the whole thing much easier than expected.

Yes
If you take a hd photo with flash you will observe many native hairs along side transplanted ones, but they are weak and dying
Reviving them would boost density for sure

12 months later. Beatles hair 😄
It's not 100% dense but the fact I even have a fringe is a miracle. I am very pleased with final result
