Exactly. Depending on the procedure you get different kinds of scars.

    FUT leaves a linear scar:

    FUE leaves small punch-like scars:

If done by skilled surgeons, the areas where hair has been harvested are practically invisible. But they are there. The finite number of donor hairs that can be transplanted is why we must make cautious and intelligent use of every single one of them. Those are all you'll get for your entire life and once they're gone they're gone.

Thank you, that makes sense. On average, how long is the donor area from a FUE visible? I am assuming it depends person to person.

I wore a cap for the first 6 weeks or so just to make sure nothing was noticeable - although in hindsight, this was probably overkill. Should I have another procedure in the future, I won't be as secretive/worried about it. I don't recall the exact timeline of the donor area healing, but it healed significantly quicker than the recipient area, which stayed pink for the first 4-6 weeks. I have rather fair skin though and a pretty sensitive scalp, so I think this was on the longer side of recovery based on what most people report.

So I live (sorta) near Los Angeles, how was your experience with Dr. Mohebi? How long in advance did you have to schedule? Thanks.

In my experience he was excellent. Everyday I look in the mirror I’m reminded of the work he’s done.

Check out my thread, it was my 4 year anniversary last month

This is crazy - I recognize you from a youtube video I saw recently in doing FUE research. I was actually going to soon post a comment asking who your surgeon was. Turns out it was actually Diep.
