Did you ask your doctor about these (as you stated you had them before your touch-up too)? If so, what was his explanation? He must have been able to inspect them himself when he saw them.

I had some of these stubble hairs after the first surgery and I got even more after the top up surgery. I did ask the doctor, but he was unable to explain why these stubble hairs are not growing or shedding.

With respect, if you've had 4 HT's and only one of them has turned out well, you should absolutely be getting a biopsy before going ahead with a 5th HT. It would be madness not to rule out an underlying issue for certain at this stage. I appreciate you've had some more basic checks in the past, but by not getting a more thorough examination you're simply denying the evidence of your failed HT's that something else might be amiss.

It may be the case that you've lost some native hair owing to shockloss, or they were simply weak and couldn't withstand the trauma of surgery. They may well make a come back with more time and your medical interventions (Fin/Min).

The first 2 HT's i had was about 15 years ago from a doctor who got struck off for doing botched surgery's, I met other patients with failed transplant with this doctor. The 3rd surgery i had with Dr Rahal was a success and I had no problems.

    Any updates @taza?

How has your communication been like with the Dr? Has he mentioned how he will assist you if the result is not satisfactory?

The communication with doctor has been good. Dr Taleb answers all my questions within a few hours. Dr Taleb has ask me to wait 12 months post surgery before considering any further intervention.

How can you not suspect an auto-immune problem when clearly reacting badly to trauma of a HT that seems correctly performed? I would definetely change doctors. Pretty sure a biopsy is the most logical procedure at this stage.

I don't think you know more the doctors who examined me. I'm hoping I'm just a slow grower. I have seen some slight improvements over the last month.

Id recommend taking a biopsy, a simple trichoscan cant reveal autoimmune conditions like LLP or fibrotic alopecia

I doubt the technique is in fault for poor growth, even if the best dr in the planet made this transplant you would have experienced similar problems most likely.

I had my scalp examined twice by professionals. I have got no symptoms of LLP. My scalp is healthy.
