  1. Thank you @Melvin- Admin @De Freitas Clinic - Please consider my request for dates Thanks
  2. Thank you @Spring15. Agreed and planning for addressing the crown in my 2nd sitting. Very tough to get dates from Dr De Freitas. I am trying Dr Pittella as well.
  3. 10 months Update; No fibers or hair products used. Just blowdry the hair little bit. 2nd sitting Still awaiting for date to address the crown and add density to frontal. Let me know the feedback.
  4. I was also in same boat. Waited 18 months and spent around 1500 usd to go 2 him and in 10 mins he rejected I am not a good candidate. I was depressed then I went to Dr defrietas he is also in spain and I got good result. So its upto you
  5. No offense taken The reason I put 95% is because I still have 3 more months as per clinic and hopefully that will fix my styling issue. Even if not I am ok as i have expectations i cant get my desired outcome with only 1 HT. I am a diffused thinner going towards Norwood 5 or 6 so I need 2 HT's anyways which I am good with. In my opinion there are about 20 elite doctors in the world who are ethical and they should be appreciated when there is a good result so that lot of people like me can go to them with right expectations and be happy in life. Dr Defrietas is definitely one of them from my perspective.
  6. I am 95% satisfied. Only 5% is we have to work on existing Hairline so I have to spend lot of time styling on my hairline to get that look. we didn't lower it. So I am planning to address that concern during my 2nd HT. I wont be lowering too much as it wont be natural but I have a specific styling issue which I would like to discuss with Dr.
  7. Thanks a lot @Melvin- Admin This forum and yourself deserve all the credit where it lead me to Dr defrietas. now I need to decide between Dr Defrietas (3000 grafts) and Dr Pittela (6000 grafts) for my hairline and crown. Any inputs?
  8. 9 months update. ready for 2nd HT in 3 months 2nd HT will be hairline and crown. I guess frontal 3rd grew good as per expected density.
  9. 3 Month Update; Uploaded preop pics from Clinic as well. Donor healed completely. Lot of itching and few pimples on recipient and donor areas which are expected it seems.
  10. Thank you. I am waiting for clinic to send me pre-op pics.
  11. Thank you My quote was sent end of 2021 and it was around 3euros per graft. I am not sure what are the current rates. Please email them as they respond very quick.
  12. Thank you @Melvin- Moderator. Appreciate all the discussions and conversations we had.
  13. All, Took 5 years for research, multiple appointments, dilemma however with confidence went with Dr Defreitas and experience has been awesome. This is one of the cleanest facility I ever saw and Supporting staff was very helpful & professional. Doctor is down to earth and even though I don't speak spanish he tried communicating with me in English which I felt very professional & assuring. He got a good sense of humor which is needed as its a 2 day surgery & its over-whelming. My donor is weak and I have very thin hair so we went with conservative approach of adding density to existing hairline, mid-scalp and after 12 months depending on how these grow another round for Crown, Temples and lowering hariline if possible. I sincerely pray I get success from my 1st HT. Attached is the Recipient and Donor pics right after surgery. Let me know what you all think Thanks
  14. Hi Does anyone know whether the primary care physician office in USA will do all blood tests like Serum levels etc.,? Please advise. Thanks
  15. Thanks @Bandit90 - Yes Dr Sethi made me feel very secure with my HT and in his opinion mine is not complicated case at all Only Concern I have with them is "comb-over" is a must with Eugenix and you need to grow your hairs longer which gives a better illusion of density. That's the reason why they are not touching my mid-scalp as I have native hairs and if I comb-over and add few hair fibers no one think I lost hair there. With a diffused thinning I have been doing comb-over for the past 20+ years and I got tired of it and that's why I am looking for better density on frontal and mid-scalp and that's where other doctors checked out as they are addressing my frontal and mid scalp 1st and they are not mentioning the same risk of Perm Shock loss and they think I will get better density. Either way I need 2 procedures for sure because even if I go with Eugenix I will definitely ask to touch my mid-scalp in 2nd setting if my 1st sitting is successful & I dont see a reason why Eugenix will say no to mid-scalp.
  16. They invented DHT method which is kind of DHI. I had same confusions but after talking to various doctors and doing research DHI is where there wont be pre made slits. Extractions will be done first and then Implantations with implanter pens which will do slits and place grafts in 1 shot. DHT is slits will be made first then extractions and implantation simultaneously which is little different than traditional pre-made slits where slits will be done first, extractions and then implantations. The difference between DHT Eugenix vs other pre-made slits is the grafts outside body is minimal in Eugenix method. I might be wrong here but I have to wrap around these techniques multiple times and finally settled on this understanding Regardless of methods I was told its Doctor that what matters and their results but Not technique. My intention is not to derail this topic but I was looking for some sort of confidence from community to which doctor I have to choose. To make it simple I settled on 3 doctors who agreed to do HT on me even though I am a diffused thinner and I am having difficulty which one I have to choose . Dr Defrietas, Dr Nadimi and Dr Sethi. Dr C Rejected me otherwise he was my 1st choice. I waited 4 years to have an appointment with him and I got rejection in 20 minutes..lol
  17. Yes and I trust these doctors however another confusion is Eugenix will not implant my midscalp and other doctors do not touch my crown in the first sitting So confusion within confusion. Thats why my question regarding Implantation technique. All the doctors whom I reached out and they said they do only frontal and mid scalp in first sitting they use DHI method. Eugenix is the only clinic who refused to touch my mid scalp as there are native hairs in diffuse pattern and they will use pre-made slits. They will address hairline and Crown where I lost most of my hair. H&W is exception they use lateral slit technique (guess pre-made slits) but they will do dense pack on my frontal and midscalp and touch crown in 2nd sitting. I was expecting Eugenix will address all areas as they are known for high NW cases however due to "diffuse" thinning they are being careful not to touch my mid-scalp. If that's the case I am not sure why other doctors are addressing my frontal and mid-scalp areas. So its not easy to take a decision for "diffused" thinner compared to Slick NW6 patient as different doctors have different approaches/techniques and at the end of the day its patient responsibility. Budget, wait list and country is not an issue for me however it seems over research is also a problem and I am not able to take a decision whether to go for HT and if I go with HT whom should I go ?
  18. @Melvin- Moderator - The whole point of medication like finasteride and dutasteride is to avoid permanent shock loss along with retaining native hairs correct? so I am wondering why if a patient have diffuse hair loss and on medication and maintain good donor is not a good candidate for HT? Please advise.
  19. Well I met Dr K and Dr Sethi :). They looked at my donor and said I am a good candidate. Why would they send me back home and during surgery day they will decline saying microscopic exam says your donor is not good compared to when we looked at you without microscopic exam.
