Yes that’s correct, first demmatch, then apply toppik, then apply puddy/pomade. Finish off with hair spray. I use dark brown. Black is too shoe polish looking.

    Thanks melvin

one more thing that i noticed in your video was your hair looks shiny even after dermmatch and topikk , where as i have seen guys using those products usually end up with Dusty or Dirty looking hair , what do you apply to make them look so vibrant even after using the concealers ?

  2. thanks Melvin

so correct me if I'm wrong ..... if using a combo of dermmatch and toppik

First Apply Dermmatch  followed by  Bed head Matt seperation  ... followed by Toppik .... finally Hair spray ... voila All natural I guesss

Also i have the same hair color as you , do you use Dark Brown or Black ?

  3. hi guys

Have a wedding to attend in a few days , I'm already done with a FUE  some 8 years back , results have tapered quiet a bit and there are a few spots where skin is visible , unlike the results i got in the beginning first 2- 3 years where I had fully packed dense looking transplants , Medications have serious sides so they were stopped within the first 3 months after Fue ,  just wanted a opinion regarding the use of Toppik hair fibres or Dermmatch ? I get varied Answers ranging from Toppik looks like dust to dermmatch looks like shoe polish , I seriously want to use either one or in combo .... But need them to look as natural as possible as there would be quiet a few people at the wedding whom I shall have to maintain a very close contact .

Would be nice if you members can chime in your experience , looking for as natural as possible .

If you can't take a DHT blocker like finasteride that actually addresses the underlying reason you are losing the hair, then minoxidil is a waste of time long term. Definitely not worth even the smallest risk to your cardiovascular health even with minimal dosing, in my opinion. Especially if that area is already as barren as a cue ball, like you say.

Either try just shaving it all off, get a hair transplant, cover it with a hair piece, or SMP. Maybe try to do some combination of a comb-over and concealers like hair fibers until you get one of those done.

yes in my opinion what you say about a DHT blocker is very true  but i really cannot take it as i get horrible sides , yet when i see forum results and youtube vids of OM is just raises some hopes to revive my crown , which  is not almost barren but you can see the formation of a cue ball with some sparse coverage but not enough to hide it thoroughly .

  5. hi  guys ,

really stuck and confused about my thinning hair and the loss of confidence when I look at my crown ... its fast loosing face and the skin is really visible in that area like a cue ball .

too bad I can take finasteride as I have horrible and debilitating sides from it . Was however keen to try Oral Minoxidil , but have read on some forums that sides can be too lethal from oral minox as it mostly concerns the heart and lungs ... too bad

I think Melvin has been using oral minox for a while now , so maybe melvin can help me start ,

I want to know at what dose  is  it safe ? and do u need to take it once or twice / per day  . Im fit and healthy , so no medical condition by gods grace and blessings .

Melvin please share your experience about oral minox , esp. at the CROWN , and at what dose do you take ? is it worth the hype ?  and any sides that have affected you .

All board members also please chime in , this crown loss is making my life Ridiculous .

  6. I had seen or read somewhere that its Always wise to run your hormone profile tests , as a precaution so in case of any negative sides from fin , would at least inform the doctor about your baseline levels and hence faster recovery . unfortunately I do not recall where is read this , but it makes sense , in case you need any hormone therapy .

so i would suggest anyone just starting fin to at least talk to your doc about this , I know many guys randomly pop fin but it could be detrimental .

Every single post of yours is either trying to debunk the donor dominance theory and replace it with recipient dominance, suggesting that's the end outcome for everyone eventually.

Also you never miss a chance to discourage anyone from taking finasteride.

So no hair transplants, no treatment. May I ask what's your purpose being here? Are you trying to make us all lose hope? 😕

you are getting me wrong , Im not debunking any science because im not qualified to that extent , im just saying that many guys like me are complaining about grafts falling out after some years and the tribe of such guys is growing , we need to investigate why its happening because it is happening for sure , so in a way im letting people know that this thing is happening and these are my experiences ,  Im not debating anything as correct or incorrect as im  myself trying to find the answer to my problem , as I have , like all of you , invested my time and effort to overcome this hair problem  .  No one looses hope , its a battle against hair loss ,  and a forum is created to share personal experience  in order to win the battle together ... no one lives a isolated life we all co-exist because each one exists for the other one .

Hair transplants are a wonderful thing as they change human liife ..... but sometimes on patient info,  we need to tweak our skills for better results OR outright reject a patient if he is not a candidate due to various skin / hair issues .

Eventually I think we are not discussing we are debating , so its time we stop and focus on our goal, that unites us , have a great season buddy .

    Hi,

I did a 2600 graft hairtransplant to restore my hairline in 2017. 7 months later i had achieved excellent results. I looked 15 years younger and my hairline was thick and solid.
Every year that has passed my hair has got worse and worse. My native hairs all over my scalp have thinned but also my transplanted grafts have thinned out a lot. I know this because most of my grafts were placed to cover the temporal recession where i was completely bald (no native hairs). 7 months post op this area was fully covered with hair and I was very happy with the result. Fast forward 3 years and the area is very thin. Why is this happening? Is it the surgeon or whats the reason?
    Its so disappointing.

Im not on any meds nor have I been.

    thank you for your answers.

I'm sorry, what are you basing this assumption on?

not assuming , i have been through it myself and now i find that im not the only one  , many members here have reported this phenomenon some say unsafe zone , some say medicines , yet i have seen members who had taken their grafts from the safe zones and were also on medicine ... then can u explain why their grafts fell out after some years , and mind you there are a lot more people outside this site that also complain similar experiences . Although i would be glad to know the REAL cause myself as I am also looking for answers and a cure , btw I even had surgery when i was 39 so unstable donor was also ruled out and i had even got a biopsy done for miniaturization ... all normal reports .

And these photos are from 9 months ago. It looks much worse now...

its becoming very common on the forum , many guys are complaining that transplants are falling out within 3 to 5 years , imagine spending a fortune and then waiting 12 months for the results only to enjoy them for just 3 years , then the density disappears and we are left with gaps that look and feel awful  ..... we need a serious cure for this curse .

Had a similar HT, I took my first dose of finasteride today but I cut the tablet in half. Doing a 0.5mg dosage and hoping for the best.

Honestly I keep getting told 1 in 10k people have sides but it all seems way too common.

    Great topic,

Dr. Bisanga touched on this subject. I’ll be sure to post it on Instagram and YouTube. If the hair is taken out of the patients individual safe zone it will last a lifetime. Now, EVERYONE’S hair thins over time. We cannot expect to have the same donor we have at 20, when we’re 90.

fair point , age will thin  hair regardless you are on fin or not .... although im hoping bezzula  will be safe and we can then just forget about the risks of disrupting our hormones

As someone who just had an HT 5 days ago and contemplating starting Finasteride from day 10, this has been on my mind too.

Although my doctor has asked me to get on meds, she did say she'll leave the choice to me. I'm 26 and on the NW2 scale. Now with aggressive temple points I might have to get on it even though my hair loss is more or less stabilized. I picture myself ending up with a NW 3 or 4 in my 50s.

    Will follow this thread.

There is no permanent solution for psoraosis.. All what i can do is keep applying ointment and reduce the burning sensation..

But...the hair loss is too much now...and hence i need a treatment for the same..

I just don't know which doctor should i visit for the same in Mumbai.

you look relatively young , Dr. Radha  is a good FUT doctor , dunno how she accepted you for the surgery with psoriasis ? of course  under magnification she would have seen that the skin was not Normal and hence should have called off the surgery in my opinion OR at least informed you of the complications ?

I thought you did not need DHT blockers with FUT, as the grafts are taken from the very safe donor zones , unlike FUE where unsafe zones are always used as the area is wider .... Im surprised to know that you need blockers with fut also , or maybe the psoriasis made the hair fall out ?  anyways i suggest you better treat the condition before doing another procedure
