Yes it looks pretty normal for 3 months. Between 3-5 months is where things really start to happen for most people and then it will just continue to grow and mature while improving each month. You have a lot to look forward to in the near future.

Here are some updated pics at 5 months and 5 days.

You’re looking exactly how you should after 5 weeks buddy!! Get through the next month or so and you should start seeing some growth. Don’t worry too much about the shock loss, it will grow back (most likely in month 3 and 4). Are you taking any meds?

Thanks for the encouragement. Taking fenasteride and the help hair shakes. Started both on 4-1-18.

Looks good so far. Clean work and you have healed fast. Almost no redness after 3 weeks. Do you have any pictures of the donor and the crown? That is a very conservative hairline and actually, the work post-op doesn't match with the hairline drawn pre-op. I think it will make a massive improvement when it is done though.

Here is some pics at 5 weeks today. Front, crown and donor. A little shock loss in back. Hopefully it will grow back soon. Hopefully it will all start growing soon. Wore a hair piece for a yr before the HT. So now trying to hide it with a ball cap till it grows back in. Wish I would of just got the HT before the piece. SmartSelect_20180809-211428_Gallery.jpg.c143bd661c9cd97002d30a60d0f60366.jpg

  4. Had my HT done with Dr Cooley on 7-5-18. Had 3801 graphs done on the front and crown area. Everything went great and no pain. Here are some photos of pre-op and post-op. I'm 53 yrs old. Do you guys think the hairline looks ok for my age? To me it looks like it angles back too much on the sides, but Dr Cooley said he was going for a natural look for my age. I guess I need to wait for it to grow out to see the final outcome.

    Hi Regs,

Welcome to the forum, it does appear to be some slight shock loss around the strip incision, it may take a few months to grow back. Have you tried to use minoxidil in the area to stimulate growth?

Hey Melvin, no I have not tried any monoxidil. Been on fenasteride since 4-1-18, had surgery on 7-5-18. Hopefully it will grow back in ok.

Thank you for your detailed updates. I've visited Dr. Cooleys Office 2 times over the last 5 years & made the decision that at some time I would have a procedure & his Office would handle it. My reservations, other than cost of course, is how long I'd have to stay out of work where people didn't notice I'd had a hair procedure (I'm a Contractor & deal with customers on a daily basis). I've now reached the time to go ahead so plan on calling Dr. Cooley's Office and making my appointment.

Good choice, I'm at 1 month post op. Very happy with Dr Cooley and his staff.
