  1. I would have loved to have slept in a reclining chair- however my hotel didn’t have one- just a bed (not even an arm chair)! It took so long since it is such a delicate procedure. He had to thread each hair through individually and then turn them to have an upward curl. Some of them would curl back down and he would either remove this or re-turn it. A Choi implanter (which takes a few seconds I guess) but is not as accurate with the direction of hair growth and placement. My husband had a hair transplant in Turkey (with a popular surgeon) it took a third of the time but virtually none of the grafts remained (perhaps about 100 out of the 2500). This is part of the reason he did not want me to have the transplant and part of the reason he didn’t want me to go overseas. He says if he ever has a hair graft again he will go to the best in the US. I think it pays to have the surgeon doing the harvesting and the meticulous grafting.
  2. It could be useful for chemo patients (once they have finished chemo)... but I would probably try latisse or bimatoprost first before resorting to something as drastic as a lash transplant. My experience is here... https://www.realself.com/review/australia-au-eyebrow-transplant-eyelash-transplant-journey Most of your questions are answered in the above review. Again the review is not useful for someone wanting a transplantation on their scalp. This is very specific for eyelash transplantation. I did not review the surgeon himself since I would prefer to wait and see what the end result is like before making any reviews. Also, it was important to me that my review was about my actual experience and the process of eyelash transplantation. I am day 7 post op. Still have my lashes in... I am dreading losing them.
  3. Thanks for your responses. I ended up having my procedure with Dr Manzanares. So far I’m day 5 post op but I’m pretty happy with the results. Actually I’m really really happy so far. However, only time will tell since I am expected to lose the hairs in a week or so. I will just have to wait to see if they all regrow back. So overall, it’s too early for me to give proper feedback on whether I’m happy with the results. You can PM me if you want to see my review (I wrote a real self blog). It’s probably not relevant for most people on here since I had my lashes transplanted.
  4. Hi everyone, Im new here and would love to have some feedback on this surgeon from the Phillipines. I have my operation booked for March. However, I keep emailing him about booking an online skype appointment or online appointment just to see him before I go in and he keeps ignoring these emails. (I have emailed him about 3-4 time over the last mont to 1.5 months requesting this). This is raising a bit of a red flag for me and I am a little worried, especially since my communication is via email and I have never had a consultation with him. My case is a bit different since I intend on having an eyelash transplant with him. Thanks in advance.
  5. Just wondering how you went with your procedure?
