  1. Thank you everyone for the answers! I really thought that 2.5k to 3k will resolve this crown situation, but it looks like I need way more than that... Do you think that a HT worth it at this point? 5-6k sounds like non realistic to do with what I have left in my donor areas. Also, the 2.5k grafts will make it look like a bit more thicker, but will never cover the scalp, right? Thanks again!
  2. Hello everyone, I'm considering a hair transplant for my crown area and I'm wondering how many grafts you think that I really need for a decent coverage. Is 2.5k will be enough to cover? I will appreciate anyone help and advice, thank you! Cheers!
  3. I really feel better.. thank you so much for helping me! I started REALLY to be worried as my 7 months mark is next week, it affected my sleeping cycle and I was anxious, especially that I was living (and still) having a hard time with my hair loss. I feel kind of released, but still not happy that they lied and set my expectations too high.
  4. ok good, I was really worried about it! I didn't had that much pimple in my life even while I was a teen! lol I think that they simply inflated the number (I hope). Thank you Doctor, I really appreciate your opinion!
  5. Thanks! that's reassuring. I had pimples during month 1 and 2, do you think that can kill the grafts? I was worried about it and I took care of it with antibiotics, they told me that it's one of the common side effects and I don't have to worry about this side effects. For some reasons, I had them even if I followed the instructions post-op and I have good hygiene in general. I'm worried that when they implemented the grafts, it was too deep so that caused the pimples as well.
  6. I'm definitely going to take my time for the 2nd one, there's no doubt about it, thanks again! 🤝 If the results will be good, I don't mind, however, I don't have a 10k$ budget for the 2nd one. Thank you for pointing the positive about my situation, I appreciate it! India is on the red list for me too, so it's impossible to travel even if I'm fully vaccinated, so for now it's not an option. My surgery was roughly around 8 hours including a break of 30 minutes ish, the grafting was longer than the extraction of course. so we're talking about 7.5 hours including the anesthesia and everything.
  7. I will keep you posted, thank you for taking the time to help me with this. I really appreciate it!
  8. Thank you @JohnAC71 I really appreciate your suggestion. For BHR/Dr Bisanga, we're talking about around how much please? frankly, I just want to be done with this hair problem. Thank you again!
  9. Thank you John, I really appreciate it! What do you think of Dr. Serkan? India isn't option at the moment because of covid
  10. Waw! I just saw the results, yes now we're talking about over 5k grafts.. I wasn't really convinced with the 5k for the top.. especially after the results. The worst, they told me, yeah we will try to take another 4-5k for the crown and to add more density to the top, ridiculous..
  11. The donor area is pretty fine from what I see, sorry it's hard to take pictures, but here's what I was able to do. What do you think?
  12. That's frankly what I was thinking, this is one the reason why I decided to repost today, because I was doubting since it didn't look for like a 5k results for me at 7 months mark. Thank you for confirming. Do you think that I can get a better coverage/density in the upcoming 5 months?
  13. The doctor, was Dr. Mahmut Yavuz at Time Esthetic, for the pictures sure! The same day of the op: Around 15 days after: Thank you!
  14. Hi everyone, I posted back to last year around August about a potential FUE, I made the jump after the advices from everyone, thank you so much again! First FUE session in Istanbul, around 5k grafts. I'm wondering if the results are decent for now. Before: Today, almost 7 months in: Please let me know as I'm preparing for the 2nd procedure to cover the crown and add density to the top. I'm wondering if the results are decent or I have to shop around before the 2nd one. Thank you everyone! Cheers!
  15. Thank you for the advice! I will keep you posted! Thank you for the details. I will be checking the doctors that you mentioned. Regarding Finasteride, do you think the fact that you take it before a HT will make it harder for the doctor? I thought that not taking any medication will be better, because the hairloss will stop. Isn't i? Thank you! Are we talking about http://www.hattingenhair.com/en/contact/? Thank you so much for this positive post! I really appreciate it!
  16. 1. Even if I'm planning to get a hair transplant, it's still recommended? Because, I want to avoid the side effect and also taking drugs for the rest of my life. 2. I tried it in the past, but I didn't like it, I was waiting for my 30 to start looking around for a hair transplant. I tried minoxidil in the past with no success. Since I'm planning to have a hair transplant, I'm not sure if it's a good idea, isn't it? So, I'm planning to do the front and mid to cover it in the first place, but I rather go with FUE than FUT because I want to avoid the big scare, which is the reason why I'm asking if it's possible to avoid the FUT. Thank you everyone!
  17. Thank you for the suggestions! I want the last scare possible, that's why I want the FUE. The question is, is the FUE possible in my case? The doctor that I had a visit with him, he was insisting about the FUT and he said that it's not possible to do a 3,000 grafts via FUE in my case. Sure, here's the donor area. I think that I have a good volume in the back of my head and it's pretty static, it didn't change a lot through the last 2-3 years. Especially that I'm not taking any medication for it. Thank you!
  18. Hi, First thing, thank you for taking the time to read my thread. I have 30 years and I'm willing to do a hair transplant surgery, I started looking around and I went to see a doctor based in my city. He suggested me to start with a 3,000 grafts using the FUT method, than two additional procedures (FUE) of 1,500 each. As I don't want to jump in without taking the advice of anyone who went through this, I'm open to have any suggestion/experience/advice from you. I don't know if it's realistic, but I'm willing to not get an FUT because of the scare, I want to avoid it, which is the reason why I want to have an FUE. Please find attached a picture of the actual situation of my scalp. Thank you, cheers!
  19. Thank you so much guys for the answers! I really appreciate all your suggestions! @Speegs: Thank you, I really appreciate! For finasteride, I saw a lot of people claiming that it's not good, that's why I didn't take it. Also, regarding the FUT and FUE, to be honest, here in Montreal, I don't see any suggestion regarding any doctor. I saw on the forum, a lot of people talking about Dr. Rehal but he's in Toronto and I prefer to have a Dr here in Montreal, in my city, you know it will make things easier, if I need a doctor's consultation @AMR1: To be honest with you, I'm really afraid of the scar, because usually they take a lot (especially in my case) and I don't want to lose the elasticity of my skin you know, maybe now I will not feel it because I'm still young, but in the long run, it scares me a bit Thank you again guys, it's the first time that I talk about it and you made me feel comfortable about it, I usually avoid it the subject even with my family..
  20. Thank you so much for taking the time to answer me! I tried short hair but to be honest I don't like it.. Is the FUE not recommended for my situation? I mean, I want to avoid the scar
  21. Hi everyone, I'm a M, suffering of hair loss since my 18 years old, I tried a several medication but as you know.. No results. I have 28 years old now and to be honest, I can't handle it anymore, I'm trying to hide it everyday but, it's exhausting me and I'm super frustrated due of this issue, I like my hair and I'm differently not able to accept my situation. I'm living in Montreal, Canada, and I would like to know if something can be done. Please suggest anything, I'm considering surgery but I don't want to deal with the wrong person, I want to fix the situation and start a new life and get back all what I lost. Any suggestion, review or comment will be more than welcome. Thanks everyone, I appreciate. Cordially
