  1. If a person has never ever cut their hair short and knows 100% they never will, then these are the doctors you would probably want to go for strip. But keep in mind every doctor has some bad scars and nothing is 100% but they do seem to be your best bet if you were hell bent on FUT. The fact that you are even asking the question "who produces a better scar" and asked about potentially going FUE let's me know the scar does worry you.

Although going to elite FUT specialists such as H&W or Rahal will more likely increases the chance of a satisfactory result in terms of both scar or growth yield, I agree with you that nothing is 100 percent. HT or any cosmetic surgeries itself isn't without risks in nature. If we are being conservative, prepare for the worst, in my opinion, it is the best to go for FUE instead because, in the worst situation, we might end up with a very low or even zero growth yield and a strip scar in the back of the head for the rest of life. On the other hand, FUE is less risky that you will have one less thing(scar) to worry about if the growth yield turns out to be very low.

  2. It's tought to say. Consult with them both and go with whoever you feel more comfortable with (this is important). In terms of the scar, they both produce some of the best from what I've seen. I don't think you can go wrong either way it's hard to say which one is "better"

Hi Readeal, I read some of your posts, looks like you experienced some issues with your strip scar. It is too wide and was placed too low in your donor area. I can really feel your pain. May I ask what if you have not gone to your previous Dr, would you be comfortable with the doctors I mentioned in terms of scar or you would go for FUE

  3. I have never have any procedure before. I was a bit disappointed I was estimated by the consultant that I only have 5000 grafts of supply in total over my life time for FUE. I am wondering if FUT method can maximizes my life time supply to say 6000 or 7000 grafts? Thanks !

  4. sure thx. H&W is a really good pick, however for some reasons I can't leave the U.S.

As for Chicago Hair Institute the wait time is way too long and also expensive to me .

For SMG, it seems to me their approach is too conservative.

Any recommendations for any doctors in the U.S who are more aggressive or well know for lateral slit dense packing ?

I would also consider Dr Gabel & Dr Cooley. Are you considering FUT/FUE ?

Thanks man! Both Dr Gable & Dr Cooley have consistent results, but they seems a bit conservative to me. I like Dr Feller 's work, however after knowing that he's kind of only oversee the procedure that really make me have a 2nd thought:confused:

  5. densedream i agree those prices are a joke. Fucking NY am i right? lol

Coolboy if you want aggressive fue look into Dr. Diep. His youtube videos show how excellent his work is. He also doesn't feel the need to get on here and bash superior methods and people he doesn't agree with.

thanks! I really like Dr. Deip's FUE result but it seems that his FUT is not as good as his FUE results. Do you know any FUT surgeons ?

  6. I would also take at look at the costs as well which are quite high even compared to the elite clinics. H & W, SMG, Chicago Hair Institute etc...

Hair Transplant Cost | Hair Surgery Pricing | Feller & Bloxham Medical

Not being able to choose your surgeon would be an absolute deal breaker for most and costs are excessive even for NYC.

  7. Hi bro,

I'm kind of in a dilemma. After extensive research on various forums I finally narrow down my choice between these two doctors. Here is my concern, I personally prefer more aggressive approach when it comes to hairline and density. Both doctors have excellent result based on my research, however it seems to me Dr Feller 's result is more aggressive which I prefer. Lateral Slit technique might be one of factor gives denser look and Dr Feller is one of the doctors who specialize in it while Dr Cooley incline to Sagittal Slit Technique to some extent. One other thing I concern about is consistency. Dr Feller has couple of negative reviews or unhappy patients here, while I cannot find anything negative about Dr Cooley here. Location and money is not my concern, so the question is should I take the risk to go for Dr Feller or be more safe and go for Dr cooley? Thanks so much your feedback :)
