  1. Hi hairtransplanthrowaway, I don't think there is any products that will stay in your hair all night.

I currently use toppik and I have been using this for almost 5 years, I apply it every day. Style my hair and when its dry I apply toppik. Once I have done that just add some hairspray. It lasts me all day. There have been times where I haven't washed it out before bed and I have woken up and some of the fibers have come out - mainly at the crown. But this doesn't bother me too much as I just apply some more and that's that. But honestly speaking, I've had no issues with toppik and its remained in tact for 10 - 12 hours in a working day. Sleeping wise, it will come out slightly. Hope this helps.

    Hey thanks for your reply.

Is toppik better than Caboki? I've used it several times but I'm torn between ordering Caboki or it's alternative. Dermatch looks amazing (won't even come off when you swim) but application process seems extremely tedious.

I'd like to purchase a fibre/concealer that will stay on while playing soccer (if anything of that exists).

  2. Yes he does. He doesn't make all the procedure but no one does. He does the principal part after draw areas in your head and after technicians take off the hairs he make the holes where hair will be implanted. Then technicians put the hair in the holes...

It's a waste of time and money if the results are negative but... in other clinics that charge 6000€ in my country the results can be the same...

What you're describing isn't equivalent to him doing any extraction or implantation. He's the same as many other Turkish doctors. All they do is provide consultation (i.e. draw hairline and all) and the important work is all done by technicians. That means the chances of HT procedures turning into failures are high. I got a HT done in Istanbul, too. And I basically got what I paid for.

You might be excited now but come back after a year with a decent amount of hair on your head and we'll talk.

  3. I start lost my hair around 25 years old - quite young. I've losted until 33 or so!

I losted on front and up my head. Searching for clinics in my country - PORTUGAL - all of them (and they are few) have prohibited prices - about 2€ per graft!!!

I quite my search and got used to my hair... until January 2017 when a friend of mine told me that a client of his went to Turquey to made a FUE transplant for around 2000€!

    I start dreaming again...

I start to Google to get as many information as possible, reading forums, reviews, watching lots of images before and after procedure, seing videos... all day during about 3 months!

I spoke with a friend of mine with same problem and decide to do the surgery together... After filter some information we decide to Dr. Cinik clinic... BEST DECISION EVER :)!!!

One day I contacted Ozlem, Dr. Cinik assistant and the other day she give all information that I need besides being so kind and available to answer all my doubts.

After plan our trip we send flight details to Ozlem she reply with surgery confimation on 24/4 and our accomodation at 5* hotel 200m distance to the clinic.

After we land on Ataturk Airport a driver took us to the hotel where we rest (we arrive at 1h30 AM). Next day we visit the city... beatiful, big and with lots of places to visit.

A huge city with 15 millions of habitants... very friendly people but with one problem... they don't spoke very well english!

Catching a taxi or metro we went to Taksim Square, Bosphoro, mosque of Santa Sofia, Grand Bazzar, Galatasaray Stadium and walk a lot through the city...

Nice food, lots of things to buy in Grand Bazaar (4000 tipical stores) and amazing views all over the city! I look forward to coming back again.

Second day we went early to clinic that is in 10th floor of Kolan International Hospital, meet Dr. Cinik that was very frendly and available to answer all questions. After check my head and explain how the surgery will be we went to shave the hair and prepare for about 8 hours lying down to be operated - this is the "worst" part, not because pain, but disconfort to be so many hours laying down! From time to time we can get up to stretch our legs... this helps!

All Dr. Cinik and his team are very professional, the clinic have very goods conditions and all the surgery went well! 4250 grafts implanted... I'm ansious to start getting results...

After surgery we were given all the medication we needed and a driver took us to our hotel where we rest. Next day we went to clinic by morning where Dr. Cinik check our head and gave us more advices to get full results. Then we put a hat (another offer) and we went back to the city :)

After surgery no pain and good sleep. If we don't see our head It seems nothing happened!

Next day final visit to the clinic where we learn how to wash our hair.. the package includes a foam and shamppo for week recovery.

We spoke again to Dr. Cinik thanking him and his team for all the attention and care they provide us...once again... A BIG THANK YOU AND HOPE OF GREAT SUCCESS!

I strongly recomend Dr. Cinik and his team to do yours FUE hair transplant and watch out for other clinics as they are so many of them that don't have a specialized doctor perfoming the surgery... Dr. Cinik does the FUE transplant himself.

Resuming we payed each 1.990€ and get special offer of 2 extra nights in a twin room. Amazing price comparing with rest of european countries plus the opportunity to visit and amazing city like ISTAMBUL!

If you have any question you can send me private message. I will updating my review with photos along time...

No, he doesn't. The type of clinic you described exist in many parts of Istanbul. Occasionally, a patient might find a decent technician who'll bring an awesome result but in most cases, it is a waste of time and money.

  4. EVERY single day, every day....I wake up and look into the mirror first thing in the morning and think to myself I would give ANYTHING to go back in time and NEVER get my FUE HT done!!

I SO wish I would've just buzzed down my scalp and accepted my aging and hair loss with grace and dignity. I now find myself looking at balding men who have buzzed down their scalp with tremendous envy!!! The worst mistake I have ever made in my adult life was getting a FUE HT.

Why is that? I'm kinda glad/relieved I've decided against FUT that I'd planned for May.

  5. Damn.. Sorry to hear that. Would you mind sharing which doctor this was?

How many grafts and what Norwood were you when they operated on you? We'll see how I go.

    Norwood 4/5. 2900 grafts (I don't believe it, though).

Nice guy but man, it's the technicians who do everything. He's there to draw the hairline and that's it! Like someone else said, you might get lucky (assuming that your particular technician was really gifted) but who's to say the result you see in a success story will get replicated. What's more, they've got nothing to lose.

  6. In an ideal world, the Doctor would perform the whole surgery alone but that's just not feasible, I don't know of any hair transplant doctors that don't use assistants, and if there are ones that don't they would be extremely expensive I would imagine. So long as the technicians are trained to a high standard I don't see any problems.

I felt I was in capable hands, have a browse of Dr Cinik's results around the place, he obviously has done well with his staff.

This is ditto a turkish doctor I visited. Similar package. Similar technique. My results were really awful and I regret it. I hope yours turns out to be great. Also, his reviews were kinda similar too. Everyone seemed super ecstatic but when it came to the results(after a year), nobody seemed thrilled. I think he got banned from here.

  7. Hello, it really depends on the doctor. They definitely will shave the donor hair area. But as far as the rest of the head goes, it's up to the doctor you see. Dr Koray shaves everyone's head. He only does FUE. I think he shaves them so he can put the Grafts in the best spots without having any problems. Creates a better result.

Ah. I was only concerned about donor area (since I'll be doing HT for crown).

  8. What makes me nervous about getting this done is the lack of responses on a post like this. I truly would need to talk to multiple people who have had it done about how their results (crown and into scars) look after a month, three months, six months, etc. Some of the scar work looks great at first, but does it hold up? I hope people who have will help those of us who are still on the fence and that this board isn't only for selling the services with immediate pics.

Same. Hence, I decided against SMP. There's not a single advocate. Like literally, null. SMP costs seem unexpectedly high for unknown reasons. It's a hair tattoo! And there are no guarantees that it'll hold up for years (I'm talking about permanent ones).

In many cases, cost of SMP seems to be more expensive than getting FUE done in countries like India and Turkey.

  9. Welcome DMITRI77!

If you have not yet done so, I suggest viewing our interactive map where you can find all of the hair transplant surgeons we recommend in India and around the world.

You may also wish to review our recommendation criteria.

Currently we recommend the following hair transplant surgeons in India.

    Dr. Tejinder Bhatti

    Dr. Kapil Dua

    Dr. Pathuri Madhu

    Dr. Radha Palakurthi

    Dr. YV Rao

    Dr. Suneet Soni

Hello David, is Dr. Rao no longer recommended? I also have a question about Dr. Soni. He seems to claim (in his videos) that his patients will have no visible scar following FUT procedure as he uses tricophytic closure. Is there any truth in that?

  10. I'm not trying to be harsh and while I do sincerely hope your results come out great, I'd quite like to see the results in 8-12 months time as opposed to getting all excited at this point of time.

Like you, I underwent a similar HT procedure (similar price) with another doctor in Istanbul. He provided me with consultation and what not but he didn't do a single thing in terms of HT.

The result is wayyyyyy below what I'd expected. I was all psyched after my procedure as well.

In any case, I really hope you'll get awesome results.

  11. Hello,

I was wondering if anybody could give me a decent tip in regards to scar following FUT procedure that uses tricophytic closure.

At this point of time, that's the only reason why I've decided against confirming an appointment following numerous deliberations.

Will I be able to sport a bald/shaven head down the line without visible scars if say, my HT failed or I continued losing hair?

  12. SMP for crown work into existing hair or for FUT scars, then Yes. That's the only time I recommend it.

Full head SMP only ever really works on a few head/face types, and only when done be an elite practitioner.

If you had a subpar HT result 1st time around, go with an elite (Hasson, Erdogan, Konior level) surgeon known to produce very few or zero poor results.

Can you post pics of the area you are going to have done?

Here they are... Imgur: The most awesome images on the Internet

I can't afford elite ones. I've found a recommended surgeon and at this point of time, I'm concerned with FUT scars (and again, he says I won't have any scars due to tricophytic closure). That's my only concern.

  13. To be completely honest, smp is absolute crap.

All tattoos bleed out, maitenance and having to deal with colour contrast issues in the future. A lot of the time they have a blue^green tinge once they settle and deal with sun damage. Essentially you will need to cover up around the sun, as snobs no different then wearing a hair piece. Restrictions and the sun ruins it.

A lot of the time it doesn't look good unless you are dark coloured due to contrast differences. Will need to putore effort in keeping the sides and back shaved so you don't have a horse shoe appearance. As the sides and back are more dense and strong in pigmentation then the top.

    Hair transplants or shaving

I'm not caucasian, but brown. So I'm not sure if that works. I'm leaning heavily towards getting FUT but at this point of time, I guess the biggest concern is regarding FUT scar. Like I said before, my doc claims I won't have any visible scars due to tricophytic closure.
