  1. Got sent this photo the other week from the wedding I attended which shows my hair in natural light
  2. Thank you Marko. I had a wedding at the weekend and for once I wasn’t worried about being in any photos.
  3. Thanks Melvin!!! Here are some latest pics that I took last week to mark 14 months post HT. These pictures were taken with a bright LED light point at me aswell
  4. Yesterday I travelled down to see Dr Arshad and Sommiya for my 1 year consultation. It was great to let the dr see my result in person and to get his professional opinion. Dr Arshad first combed through the donor area and was very happy with how it looked, he said there was know signs of scaring and even he would struggle to see if I’d had a HT or not. This was great news and he even said I’ve got plenty of donor left if I ever need another transplant later down the line. Again very happy to know I’ve got plenty of hair in reserve if need be. Next we assessed the transplanted region both with the naked eye and through a microscope which allowed me see it on the computer screen as Dr Arshad explained that I still had some hairs that needed maturing. Dr Arshad also acknowledged the thinner areas which I had a little concern over and reassured me if by December time I’m still not happy and things haven’t improved a free top up would be offered to give me the result I’m 100% happy with. For me this has definitely confirmed I made the right choice choosing the Hair Dr for my hair transplant the support and care they have given since the day I booked my HT has been nothing but 1st Class, even now a year down the line they still want me to be 100% happy with the result. Would I recommend Dr Arshad to anyone needing a HT?? I sure would, I’ve been treated like and individual not just another paying customer.
  5. 12 months post HT. Moved house so decided to change my hair style and go a little shorter. Sides and back were shaved to a number 2 and my barber who has cut my hair since I was 15 and I’m now 40 said the donor area looks totally untouched.
  6. 8 months post HT. Massive improvement from my pre HT photos and hair is really starting to thicken up.
  7. 6 months post HT. Things started to get interesting here as I was able to style my hair a lot better and I was really starting to see the result coming through.
  8. 2 months post HT. I hated the ugly duckling stage but I knew good things were on the horizon so I kept being patient. Support at this stage was very important and Sommiya at the clinic was always a message away reassuring me that everything was on track and looked normal
  9. 1 month post HT. Donor had recovered well and shedding had taking place
  10. Hi guys as it’s been a year since my HT I thought I should post my journey here and share my experience and result with everyone. 7 years ago I started looking and researching HT and Dr’s and finally last July I pulled the trigger and had my HT with Dr Arshad. Below is my documented journey which I have posted on the hair loss experience forum and I thought I should share it here also. My choice of clinics were Dr De Reys in Belgium or Dr Arshad in the UK. Now i know Dr Arshad is more expensive per graph than Dr De Reys and this was something that was a factor, but due to logistics with my job, the fact i live in the UK and that i wanted to have 4000 graphs (Dr De Reys will only do 3000 graphs over 2 days) i pulled the trigger and booked for July 2020 with Dr Arshad at The Hair Dr Clinic. My plan is to have my frontal area rebuilt and my crown filled. With the fact that lockdown has hit and me being the singer/guitarist in a local band for a living now has become the perfect opportunity to have a HT as gigs have stopped for the foreseeable future since pubs are shut.I must say I'm nervous, anxious and at the same time excited. I will finally be able to style my hair in different ways and feel confident again when the wind blows or when i go swimming on holiday. Photos are from Pre HT all the way up to 12 months.
  11. Hi guys I'm a long time lurker in this forum and many other and have managed to gather much information to help me book my surgery. I have been quoted 1500 grafts for my Hairline and temples. I know De Rey's is very conservative but I don't want to have a second transplant on my frontal 3rd. Now a few members on another forum have been saying this is to little and I should go for 2000-2500 grafts. I've emailed Nick, De Rey's consultant to ask him if I should up my grafts to avoid a second HT, and I'm waiting his reply. Here is my thread from another forum about graft count etc and also includes photos of my current hair position. Hoping some guys here will chime in on there thoughts and advice.
