  1. Yawn...

I posted on this forum a pic of my hair post transplant when I thought I lost a graft so there is a pic that shows my work done You could have made some effort to look into the guy you are calling out... I will be happy to show a mod more pics if they would like to verify and hell they can call or email Hilde at Dr Bisangas clinic and ask my name I can provide them with that if they really want to confirm who I am and she'll confirm my transplant. Also there are members here who can verify I had one done. Can anyone say anything about you?

I did not disapprove of the doctor, I just said he wasn't an unknown and the poster could have brought the doctor to attention without the salesjob he did. It came across as promotion. Another member agreed, you have been here for a minute and have no cred here and bash me which is fair enough, but saw in another thread you just bashed Dr Rahal too, you may just be the troll here afterall. I simply called out what seemed obvious. I would never have a problem with a new doc being mentioned, I am always happy to see another name especially if they're good, I asked questions about docs that I had not seen on this forum but I didn't come in here declaring them as good as the best in the industry. I will reiterate, it was more about how he presented the doc vs the doc himself. I never commented on the doc which should be easy enough to follow if you read what I actually said. You can also stop with the strawman nonsense, there was no argument ever brought up about the only good docs being here or the future of ht docs. You are creating an argument and fighting against it yourself.

I do apologise to the forum for any clutter I created and for bumping this thread again.

You never posted a pic of your transplant. You don’t have one on your profile. No pics no gallery no truth. Just trolling for attention.

The definition of a shill is you! Youre a troll and a shill. People who do this for attention online have no life. You got the maturity level of a 12 year old. On top of that you stick up for a surgeon known for packing hundreds of grafts per cm on patients as complaints from this doctor keep rolling in. People like you rarely get along with others in life and you’d be dangerous in any doctor’s office.

If any representatives from any hair transplant clinics read this I urge you not to allow this guy into your clinics. God knows what comments he’ll spew about your doctors after his procedure. Make sure you report his email address!

I’ve had it with you. Don’t come back to the thread. Youre a nuisance, a troll and no one here likes you. Your continued trolling and hate will get you banned. I’m reporting you.

  2. lmao

you need to learn what the word shill means. Who have I promoted? I have been here for just a little longer than you and already had my procedure done. I didn't waste time and I shared anything I learned and I have stated exactly who my doc is when I talk about him and I don't push him.

    .

    LOL LOL.

You sound like a bitter man who lies about having a procedure done to get childish attention. Where are your pictures?? Why no gallery?? Why does your profile state you had no transplant done?? And that youre considering a procedure??

Talk about not knowing what a shill is! LOL.

I’ve been checking out transplants since 1995 much longer than you and so far I’ve been able to arrest my hair loss without a procedure. Since you disapprove of the doctor the OP mentioned why don’t you try him out and return to prove him wrong. All he did was give an opinion. And I agree there are new up and coming talented doctors who deserve attention since transplants will get better with newer doctors trying different stuff. If you think the only good doctors in 15 years will be limited to the ones mentioned here you don’t know squat about hair transplants. Especially when you’ve never had a transplant in your life! LOL.

Otherwise youre trolling hatred and jealousy which will get you banned from here quick. So relax shill !

  3. Hey guys I know I asked this question before. But I really need to know to just to re-assure myself. As I posted before I have noticed more shedding of one side of my scalp than the other side due to (according to me) sleeping on the same side every night. Honestly speaking I don't think this is any coincidence of any type since I am connecting sleeping on the same side every night with affecting that side of the scalp's hair growth.

It could be that by sleeping on one side I am shunting enough of the scalp's blood supply. Or as my friend theorized before that it could be small micro bugs in my pillow jumping over to the scalp and invading it. This last theory isn't plausible since I am diligent in washing my bed sheets and pillows regularly. Maybe its another explanation.

Common sense dictates that I should either sleep on the other side. But the problem with this is that since I have been sleeping on the same side for the rest of my life I subconsciously find myself adrift to that side especially during sleep. I have tried - though I admit not hard enough.

Just to reiterate I know I asked this before but I am desperate for an answer or someone's experience similar to mine to share. I am literally going insane over this and its affecting many levels of my life. I think I might wear a dude rag or cap just to be extra sure. As bizarre as this seems I don't know what other alternative to take.

If any of you guys can comment on this whether positive or negative maybe it can help me make sense of this mystery if its one at all. You got to help me guys. Going crazy here.

  4. A ranking system sounds like it could go bad so easily. A lot of people on here work for certain doctors and are biased etc etc etc.

Could this represent a conflict of interest for the client? Personally I wouldn't want my decisions to be influenced by parties who may not be completely honest with my best interest since their identities are not fully disclosed online. Then again you can't do anything to stop this from happening. Welcome to the internet!

Whats best for you/your expecation may differ from mine and everyhone elses. Good research is the only tool you need. Fortunately for us, there's a wealth of information out there to help us

You make good sense. I will do my diligent research and find what I need. Its good how you put that succinctly.

  5. Even though synthetic fiber has advanced and can be used, the procedure of implanting them is still not a good idea for hair replacement. The material itself may be 'approved' but it doesn't offer the benefits of a natural-looking appearance, and maintenance is cost-inhibitive too.

Instead of using synthetic scalp what about growing real scalp skin? Sounds like a novel idea but with todays medical advances could be possible. Of course you need to contend with the synthetic hairs which are not natural.

Like hair pieces on the hairline or the crown area, the disadvantages and limitations are great while the advantages are few.

Never seen hair pieces solely for the hairline or crown. Why a disadvantage like you said?

  6. Interesting info...

96.2% of patients declared to be satisfied from the result of the implant

90.3% of patients recorded no pathology after surgery/ies.

Only 5.9% presented mild infection pathologies

    ]

Assuming these stats to be true it appears that synthetic hair systems are the way to go for some patients. I would recommend against it obviously for someone who may need only a "touch up." But for more severe balding yes.

  7. Hard to verify the statistics mentioned, but it wouldn't surprise me that a lot of HT patients are not happy.

Lot of people on this site want to throw money at the problem with a HT then don't even want to make the effort to use minox at night.

    .

Well the problem is that with some patients, minox may carry unwanted side effects. Not every one responds to meds the same way.

  8. bencar....I believe they used to do that in the early days of transplants and it was called "a flap".

I have been told that is what Donald Trump has is a old "flap type transplant".

As far as I know most the industry does not perform flap type surgery any longer.

You can read more about "flap hair transplant" surgery here:

Dangerous Hair Loss Procedures to Avoid

Wow! At first I thought a procedure like this would be a "cure" for hair loss, depending on the amount of donor hair of course. Never did I think this would be abandoned by the doctors.

Why does god and nature work so much against us? Its like you feel like not believing in god altogether.

  9. bencar...I have already had 3 transplants...but the first one was so small and so long ago I almost think it "doesn't count". So let's start with I have had 2 "real" transplants in the last 4 years. The answer to your question is "yes" if I lost more hair I would consider another small type transplant. More of a "touch-up" transplant. Dr. Wong stated any additional transplants would have to be FUE and I have plenty of donor if needed down the road. I am hoping at 57 years old I now will have enough to "run out the clock"....but ya never know. My hair is still very important to me....that's why I try to tell the young guys that it may seem like a long time away until you are in your fifties, but you need to use the donor hair wisely, because you may want work done later.

I was wondering is theres a procedure that cuts out a large area of the back donor area to sew it in the front balding area?

  10. I think the satisfaction rate is much, much higher. Docs these days seem, at least to me, more careful about how they word things and setting realistic expectations and I see more comments about docs turning down people who are wildly unrealistic.

I suspect that about 80+% of pts are satisfied with their final results, recognizing that many patients undergo more than one HT to get to where they are satisfied.

80+? Hope youre right. But I wish I could see this in actual stats. Its one thing to blurt out an unknown number and quite another when its well researched.

Btw whats the next big thing in hair transplants science? Or maybe I should make this into a new thread.

  11. bencar I'm sorry but I was very reluctant to ever post any pictures, but finally did. I would think I have more pictures posted than most people that frequent this site because so many never post any pictures...so it's not all bad.

With that said I will not be posting any pictures yet of my 3rd journey. i appreciate those that document every step, but i don't do that....but I will at some point post some additional before and after pictures.

Hey looks great! Out of curiosity, would you consider getting another transplant done? I ask this because I've read other guys here wanted to get a 2nd or 3rd procedure done when they look like they dont need it. So would you get another transplant?

  12. Bencar....I suppose it also depends on how you define "unsatisfied".

For example I was thrilled after my transplants, but was I "satisfied"?

No so I went back for more.

I understand. It seems its all relative and subjective I suppose. If you dont mind, could you provide a link to your pictures? I would like to see the great work done on you. Thank you!!

I'm sure you'll be fine either way Bencar . You seem to have it pretty well sussed - just go with the source you feel comfortable with .

I hope so! I want to be sure who i go see is on the ball and is the right one for my personal tastes. It s not easy finding the right one you know!

  13. You won't lose hair by sleeping on one side. That said, constant pulling, friction, etc. can cause a temporary hair loss known as telogen effluvium. The only time it can turn into permanent hair loss is if whatever pulling you are doing damages the roots. There is a condition called trichotillomania which is a psychological condition where a man or woman will compulsively pull their own hair out. While the hair might grow back at first, continued pulling will damage the roots and often leads to permanent thinning/baldness. But this is not the case for you.

    Best wishes,

    Bill

Ok thank you for letting me know. This info may help me btw. Thanks a million for clearing it up some more!

  14. what a ridiculous un-sourced statement

"so and so said....but I can't even state who so and so is"

Calm down. Its not unrealistic. I just cant find the source.

    Hey Bencar,

I had a transplant done almost 7 months ago with Dr. Cooley in NC and could not be happier with my results. If you are wanting the hair you had at 16 back those expectations are going to be a little outta the realm of reality. However, good coverage to give back a good cosmetic result is obtainable and I am so happy I moved forward and had the procedure done. I had a FUT and would not take it back no matter what. I look younger and got back the hair I had lost and the self esteem I lost with it.

    Good Luck!

Wow good for you! Dr Cooley? I may look him up then sounds good. So how does this site work exactly to view your pictures of your procedure? Could you provide a link to your pictures if you dont mind?

My guess is that of the recommended doctors on this site, the number of unsatisfied patients is probably pretty close to 0%. With the few misses that do happen, the recommended doctors stand behind their work and fix any issues.

    .

Thats reassuring. Do you mind supplying that close to 0% stat you mentioned that supports this claim? I'm not saying I dont believe you. Its a very reassuring number. I just want to see for myself, thats all. And thanks!

  15. I never thought I would ask a question about hair transplant but here goes:

I read of a marked high percentage of bad hair transplants over the years. I cant find quite the website but one source estimates that as high as 65% of hair transplants patients have reported unsatisfied surgeries. Could someone shed light on this?

If I decide on a transplant from a highly qualified doctor or surgeon what are my chances of a very good transplant?
