  1. Anyone have any experience with Dr. Garbutt and/or New Look MD in San Diego? I'm two months post op so the verdict is still out. Thanks.
  2. I've had two transplants and in both instances, the majority of the hairs shed within a week. I was advised today by my surgeon that he's never seen anything like it, though he said the site appeared to be healing well. I experienced no bloody grafts or ones containing tissue at the ends. It didn't at first, but after researching and talking to my surgeon today, I'm a bit worried. Looking forward to your inputs. Thanks.
  3. Read lots of descriptions, but does anyone have pictures of what cobblestoning actually looks like. Although only two weeks post op, I'm concerned I might be affected. Pic attached.

  5. I underwent a 1150 graft FUT on Dec 13 2008. Two weeks post op the recipient area skin is elevated and you can see a clear line across my forehead where the procedure took place (pics attached for reference). The appearance of the area is best described as that of an orange peel. If you are wondering where the hairs are in the recipient area, I shaved them down. Many of the hairs fell out inside scabbing. The remainder I shaved down because the reamaining patchy area of remaining hairs looked awful. Looking forward to comments and suggestions. Thanks.
  6. I'm two weeks post op (mid Dec 08 had transplant) and my entire recipient area is also raised. I underwent FUT 1150 grafts with Dr. Garbutt in San Diego. Being two weeks post op I'm trying not to freak out, but I'm Af-Am with short hair and its very noticable in any lighted area. Raised area isn't painful though it is still slightly numb and there are small white pigmentless spots. You really can't feel the raised area because the elevation is slight though in lighting there is a distinct line created by the elevation induced by the recipient site transplants. Anyone experienced anything similar? Does it subside on its own or should I be looking for fixes? Please advise. Thanks.
