  1. Thanks guys. Now I can make an informed decision. I actually had prp too did nothing 1. Risk of shockloss. I need the ask my first surgeon about this 2 progression of crown loss. I don't think it's an issue for me. 3 expectations. 1000 grafts might end up not giving me what I want. (Need more)
  2. Hi Shampoo I am already applying hair fibres and frankly I am sick of it, i look forward to a day where I don't have to do it anymore. These 1.5 years have been a drag.
  3. Hi guys I would like to tap on your expertise. I am a 33 year old male of Asian origin, i was made known to a patch of hairloss over the vertex about 1.5 years ago by my hairdresser. I don't have any hairloss in the front. I put myself on dutasteride and minoxidil for those 1.5 year, I find less hair falling after starting dutasteride, minoxidil didn't do anything for me. So 1.5 years till now, no regrowth, no loss either. I am here in another Asian country and i consulted with the countries top surgeons regarding transplanting the vertex Surgeon 1: advised me not to do it, says it won't make much a difference because my pre-existing density is already in the "low normal range", he quoted about 100 hairs/cm2. So adding hair to already a good density wouldnt make so much of a difference. If i was adamant about it, he would put the no. of grafts I need to be 1000 He did say I had a good donor area and a good hair diameter when i asked him. Surgeon 2: advised me not to do it, he was actually in the middle of a surgery when he came out to see me, (don't like that), I didn't get a clear answer from him why. The patient advisor (non doctor) whom i don't trust, mentioned risk of shockloss if i get a transplant in the area. Surgeon 3: advised me not to do it, said i don't need it. And that's it. I do fully understand that crown transplantation is a "black hole", depletes "future" donor reserves that could be used elsewhere if hairloss in the front on hairline progresses and some surgeons probably have their own criteria of a age cutoff (too young) for crown transplantation. I am really conscious about hairloss in the area "no matter how small" it is in the eyes of these hair transplant surgeons (and i trust their opinion because of their experience) So my option would be to do it with the 1st surgeon since no. 2 and 3 don't want to do it for me Before i pull the trigger with surgeon no.1 I would just like to ask for opinions regarding this. They would be much appreciated. As I am overseas, this are the only pictures I have access to for the moment. Thank you
