  1. Thanks Bill, Like everyone else, you seem to have picked on the one issue.. The issue of the refund. No one ever seems to read the opening thread lol. My issue, with this interaction, and here it may be that I could have done some more thorough research into the matter.. Was Dr Bhatti making the statement with regards to Finasteride saying "There's a 95% growth rate on Fin, and a 65% growth rate without" I posted that here on the forum anonymously, on a separate thread, and even on this thread , and ppl have said that doesn't seem valid.. and has more to do with existing hair and shock loss.. If this is the case, it was not communicated to me by the doc.. I've been advised against using Fin.. By my personal doc.. so didn't want to go down that route.. and informed Dr B.. Consequently he advised me that the success rate could be as low as 65%.. Now I didn't like those odds.. So cancelled and asked for a refund.. and he refused.. But nowhere prior to my explicitly asking what meds are needed post was Fin mentioned.. This was my issue. If I'd known that Fin is such a strong precursor to success, I never would have paid the deposit.. That Bill is the issue. Not the refund.. Not anything else. I hope this clears is it. Its about not having that one crucial piece of information provided. Dr Bhatti's rep got on the thread, and began tagging it with my full name. And using other tactics such as cutting and pasting stuff from my emails with the Doc from 2016, and somehow linking that to this.. All diversionary tactics, in my opinion. That's when I approached you. I'm more than happy for you to close this thread/. I've said my piece, and have had some excellent advice, in private from some very knowledgeable members.. I wish I'd asked them before jumping into this. I will be forwarding my email thread to you in private.. As I have nothing to hide.
  2. This is going to get ugly with my emails being misconstrued, and placed out of context.. I could create a full set off screenshots and post here.. and everyone can witness the sordid tale in all its glory.. But I won't do that.. Anyone who does want access to them, as Shera now believes there is no need for confidentiality.. PM me, and I'll send you the full thread. Maybe I am wrong.. But the way I see it, and that's what I've experienced in the UK.. A large part of any medical professional's job is allaying people's anxieties and fears.. Some ppl have had an amazing experience with this doctor.. Mine unfortunately wasn't.. This is just my experience do read all the other reviews he's had before making any decisions. I'm not going to bother logging on after this.. as all I've had is insults thrown at me.. for my review.. He can keep the $290.. or whatever I'm done..
  3. The money ain't the only issue I'm making a stink about.. The big one was the quote.. Clearly I'm not going to get any support as this is a star doctor we are talking about.. So call me a troll, a delusional person, or whatever you like.. And yes I will take a harsh tone with anyone who sits on my money.. I gave him 2 months notice before asking for a refund. (this time around)
  4. If you ppl consider asking questions re a surgical procedure, or airing anxities about a drug that may cause ill side effects... A waste of time.. Then I worry about you because clearly you're in the wrong business. (And a PS: You got in touch with me.. and you are responding on this thread... I didn't ask you here.. So deduct an hour mate lol.. He has sent me approx 11 replies.. That takes 8 hours?).. Oh and I noticed you put my realname in the tags that's just plain vindictive... Still don't know your real name mate?
  5. You had nothing constructive or useful to say from your first response to my thread to this one.. Nothing has changed..
  6. Hi Shera, Thanks for the comprehensive response.. If you'd bothered reading the first part of my thread.. I did say that he refunded me the first time.. And I was grateful.. What you have quoted from is my first round of emails with him in 2016... **This review has no link to what you are cleverly trying to put across** This has to do with my 2nd round of communication with him ** Get your facts straight before attempting to paint me as a troll after taking my money.. As you're quoting my emails to him.. Funny how you failed to quote the statistic that he gave me.. also you have not mentioned that I asked him to deduct whatever he felt appropriate in terms of time for the 10 or so messages he sent me.. Clearly I have hit a nerve with my review.. You also failed to mention that I tried communicating with Dr B via email after.. He never responded.. This is my review and my experience.. You can Respond to each and every single comment here, quote and even screenshot my emails.. If you have the time and inclination.. My experience was my experience.. And I relayed that.. I don't know you (You've still not told me your full name ) and I don't know Dr Bhatti personally so have no reason to malign anyone.. All I asked for was my deposit minus any time he spent emailing me.. That as far as I'm concerned in not unreasonable.. My gripe was with his 65%, vs 95% stat.. Which has been refuted by ppl here.. Not me.. as I'm not an expert but by ppl here. The fact that you are here.. Armed with all my emails is proof that you guys need to defend yourself.. Even if I come off as a nutjob... I hope you guys up your game.. and ppl who go to you in the future get a good service. Best wishes.
  7. Ok update on this... I've been contacted by Dr Bhattis uk rep... Shera . Who has been made privy to my personal details... and has Google searched everything about me Inc my profession.. and wishes to respond to all mycomments here. Admins how do you feel about a doctor that reveals personal details to an agent?.. this includes my correspondence with him... All I did was review my experience. .. According to Shera.. I have breached patient doctor confidentiality..
  8. His English is pretty good I assure you.. He repeated that stat on atleast 2 messages.. Thanks for the info appreciate that..
  9. Sorry mate, lying is still lying... I would not go to any doctor that lies to me.. I'd rather they be honest and give me the facts.. That's the reason ppl get on these forums.. to get a doctor they can trust...
  10. How has Bhatti been ethical with his 65% vs 95% regrowth rate stat.. re fin and HTs? Also pls look through your own replies.. your words not mine.. You said he lied to me.. How is that ethical?
  11. I did alot of research on the forums exchanged emails with the guy and before paying him.. Nowhere did he state **prior to my explicitly asking**... That Fin is necessary for the success of the procedure... The stat I have quoted: re the 65% regrwoth rate vs 95% regrowth rate. (From Bhatti).. I then raised this on the forum on another thread and ppl said it was necessary for maintance perhaps.. But not for regrowth of grafts.. That's when I pulled the plug.. I didn't just go in blind... That's the reason I have posted now!
  12. Thanks man.. will research this.. Question though.. If Fin raises T-levels.. why does it cause side effects.. Cheers..
  13. Here we go again... yup divert away from what I'm saying.. resort to calling ppl idiots.. Ask you a logical question here.. Now apply some thought before going off on one again: "I meet two physicians one of which I know from this forum.. and the one that I did know has proved to be economical with the truth/facts".. Who can I trust more... - Think about it... Sure as hell ain't going to Bhatti that's for sure!
  14. Thank you! a voice of reason finally! ... why is it that most of the senior members on this forum vociferously defend Bhatti?.. No its not ok that he kept my deposit.. And yes its ok that I raise concerns.. and if they aren't addressed I pull the plug.. Its not wasting time.. If you didn't ask questions before a procedure that has a recovery time of over a year.. and costs thousands.. You're either millionaires, just plain thick... Or lying.. Thank you to the ppl like the guy above for your support and common sense.
  15. I had a blood test, with low testosterone levels, and the GP suggested I not take fin, as it might make things worse.. But lets get back on track... My issue with Dr Bhatti was that he was pushing the fin... For the reasons I think one person here has suggested.. Which is it causes a thickness by default.. Citing the stat he did.. Was a red flag for me.. I approached this guy because his reputation seems good based on what I've read on these forums.. My experience says otherwise.. I gave him more than 2 months notice, and he still knicked my deposit lol.. No way I would go back to someone like that.. Also I've had friends not on this forum who got HT's from local Turkish clinics.. which have a terrible rep here.. and without Fin or Min.. They have their hair back!.. Why would a Dr push Fin?.. My guess.. Their on Merck's payroll.. My guess here.. As soon as a Dr strats putting profits inftront of a patients welfare that's a no go for me.
  16. Clearly one of the trolls on the forum who resorts to personal insults.. Guess according to you all the ppl posting about the side effects of fin are just hallucinating... And ae all idiots like me and my doctor.. Noticed how you glossed over Bhatti's 95% over 65% success rate claim so smoothly.. Clearly any story that's not a glowing review gets this treatment on this forum.. Fanks..
  17. Wow are you a professional troll?.. or on Bhatti's payroll?... I suggest you do a google search yourself.. or just browse the pages of this forum for the many side effects of fin?
  18. Lol you're funny mate... You expect me to listen to a Dr I met on an internet forum, over my GP?... and its not "silly" to be afraid of the side effects of Fin.. There's a whole forum for ppl who have suffered irreversible side effects.. And why would one want to spend thousands on a HT when fin can do the job?..
  19. To start I'd like to say this is my experience. Based on the interaction I have had with Dr Bhatti. Needless to say, I decided not to go ahead with the procedure based on the turn of events. I've been pondering a HT for gaps I have in my hairline, crown, and frontal thinning. I still have a full head of hair. So I found the forum, looked up reviews right here, and Dr Bhatti has had some amazing success stories.. As I'd be travelling to India, for other business, this November, I finally decided to take the plunge. I got in touch with him and paid the deposit, without any hesitation. I had done the same thing last year, but had freaked out at the prospect of shock loss in thinning areas and cancelled. He had been good enough to refund my deposit on that occassion. So this time I just went ahead without a second thought.. WE corresponded a few times, he sent me a doc, with information on what meds I needed to take prior to the procedure. I know that antibiotics are sometimes needed after, so I dropped him a message enquiring about what other meds I need.. So he comes back saying I will need to take Finasteride 1mg, and minoxidil, for 6 months after.. This information was never made explicit at any time prior to this point.. I had seen a doctor in London who had asked me to get on Fin 1mg, going so far as saying I would need a min. No of grafts as fin would fill things in within 1 year.. I'd seen my GP here in London about this, and based on my blood results, he had asked me to stay away from it as there was a good chance I'd suffer side effects. So I relayed this info to Dr Bhatti.. And his response was downright condescending.. He cited some stats saying I have more chance of getting hit by a bus than suffering side effects.. This is even after I'd informed him my GP had said otherwise.. We went back and forth a few times, then he pulled a statistic saying "Regrowth has a 95% chance on Fin, and a 65% chance without".. For me this is a dealbreaker.. I posted on the forum, and a few ppl have responded saying, Fin is good for shock loss, and growth of existing hair.. Not for regrowth of implanted grafts.. He said I could get the procedure done, but there were no guarantees.. As a worst case scenario, I'd only have 65% of the grafts growing back.. I was not willing to spend something close to ?3,500, add to that the flight and accomodation.. For such odds.. And I asked for a refund.. Giving him 2 months notice.. He comes back saying no refunds.. Fair enough.. My gripe is with the tone he took, and the fact that it is not made explicit from the outset that Fin is such a necessity for the success of the procedure.. I hope the mods will not delete this, as its not a glowing review, for anyone else taking this step, and not wanting/being able to take Fin.. Please ask these questions before you proceed.. As I said this is my experience, and my interpretation, I have emails backing up everything I say.. or what I understood from them Thanks
  20. Thanks Jnilsen, I was explicitly told by the surgeon in question that without it the re-growth rate is 65%, with it 95%... and if I didn't take fin the HT, would be akin to a game of "pot luck"...
  21. Thanks fortune 11, could that be attributed to the incidence of Fin actually growing hair irrespective of a HT?.. So whether you had one or not, you'd grow hair just by being on Fin?
  22. Thanks Sulstay, appreciate the information. Can I ask where you got your HT from?
  23. Hi, Question for ppl who have undergone HTs.. I've been advised that taking fin for 6 months after, ensures graft regrowth by 95%, while going without only has a regrowth rate of 65%.. Can anyone advise on this? I'm reluctant to try Fin, due to the documented side effects.. Has anyone had a successful HT without it? Thanks in advance.
  24. I've noticed that alot of surgeons prescribe propecia to ppl looking into an HT.. Or who have undergone one.. Did abit of research into it online and it appears it causes permanent ED.. Spoke to one surgeon and he said its a trade off.. To me its not.. So despite knowing about this... why are they still pushing it?
