  1. Thank you for the compliment! I will definitely be in touch as the time comes.
  2. Hi there, Thank you. To answer your first question I'm not sure what his protocol is on how he places the grafts but I did have some crown work done so it is possible that spreading the grafts throughout my scalp instead of focusing on one area resulted in less density. I think this is inevitable because the alternative would be doing like a mega-mega session of 6-8000 grafts in one sitting which is probably not done for good reasons. As for your second question, I never discussed doing a second procedure and some might be happy with the results I have now. I'm just greedy when it comes to having hair and am open to repeating a procedure that thus far has proven itself to me. I would like to utilize body hair because I feel that I have a good amount of it in areas that I don't care to have it in. Although the sides and back of my head are not as important as the top I wouldn't want to decrease the hair in those areas any further. Since I like to keep those areas buzzed short, over-harvesting them will be an issue. As it is, the areas where hair was taken is visible in some places when cut short. I'm sure my scalp donor hair could provide some more grafts but I would still opt for the body hair for those stated reasons. Yes the temporal peak area is definitely obvious in real life, if I let it. Two reasons for this. One, the area behind the temporal peak is losing hair. This causes the difference to be a lot more visible because it effectively isolates my temples like little islands of hair. Reason two, the hair in that area grows longer, and faster than the hair on my sides. I'm not sure what the reason is but I do have a fix for it. Normally, I buzz the temporal peaks down to a size 1 and it blends in better with the rest of my hair. I have a picture here to show what it is like when buzzed. As you can see it is less noticeable than the previous picture I uploaded where I had forgotten to buzz it down. Lastly, if I were to grow out the hair on the sides and back it wouldn't be noticeable at all, I just don't like having long hair in those areas. Hope this helps and good luck.
  3. It's about a week short of being 9 months. I got my hair cut and styled. It might not be a full year yet but I think the end result is will be pretty close to what it is now. I think the results speak for themselves. There is no doubt it's a huge difference from where I started. With that said I'm definitely considering a second procedure 5-6 months down the line, this time using body hair which I have a good amount of. I'll be able to touch up the crown and fill in spots up front to get more density. I'm so pleased with the results that I want more and more until there is no room left on my scalp for hair. I think Dr. Bhatti and his team did a phenomenal job and I'm definitely happy I traveled half way across the world to get this procedure done. I probably won't be updating this thread with pictures any longer until a 1 year update. However, feel free to post any questions, comments, etc. Thanks for being on this journey with me. Note: The first picture is another picture before the procedure. The second picture is now!
  4. Quick 7 months update. I missed the 6 month mark but I wanted to upload a few pics to help track my progress. At this point, I'm pretty happy with the procedure overall. I'm absolutely in love with the hairline work. All my pictures have been taken under direct room light thus far, so my hair looks even fuller out of direct light. I'll write a more detailed response on the next update. For now, here are some pics. Compare it to my pre-procedure picture and the results are dramatic already. I used a light styling product in my hair in these pictures.
  5. 5 months 3 days update It's starting to fill in slowly but surely. Usually, I wear my hat everywhere I go because it has become such a habit but one of my friends saw me without it and commented on my hair looking better. I got a haircut about 2 days ago. The sides and back were shaved to clipper size 1 and I finally cut the top to a size 6. I hope that the progress continues strongly for the next few months. I'm already pretty relieved but I will be ecstatic if it does. Thanks for following along this journey with me, feel free to ask questions if you have any I will do my best to answer them.
  6. Here is a 4 month and 3 days update Starting to see some noticeable differences. Still a bit early in the process but I think the growth is becoming more pronounced. The itching has also settled down although not completely gone yet. The shock loss in the donor area on the side is starting to fill in. I still haven't cut my hair on the top but have cut the sides several times. I will probably trim the top so that the new and old hair even out in length at some point.
  7. It's been 3 months and 5 days. Not much has changed but I'm starting to see tiny specs of hair poking out of my scalp. I assume these will increase a lot as more time passes. I will be cutting the sides short again in a week and will leave the top alone for now.
  8. It's been a while since the last update. I missed the 1 month update but here is the 2 month update. Most of my hair fell out from weeks 2 to weeks 4 and after that I don't think I've seen a single hair shed. I cut the sides and back of my hair short and have been letting the top grow out. Pretty sure I'm in the ugly duckling phase at this point. In a little over 3 weeks I will hit the 3 month mark and post pictures again. For right now, I'm experiencing a lot of itching but almost all the feeling in my scalp has returned to normal.
  9. Since the original post uses such strong and biased language I wanted to make a joke. I was going to get FUT instead of FUE except I didn't want any airplanes landing on the back of my head with the newly created air strip. Lol, in reality though if FUE wasn't appropriate for people it would have stopped existing long ago. The truth is that FUE is the perfect choice for some people and FUT is the perfect choice for others. What matters is how the person undergoing the procedure wants and what they expect.
  10. Thank you for the comments. Just a quick week 2 update: Seems like I'm experiencing shock loss in the donor area with the exception of my beard (under my chin). The transplanted areas are now scab free for the most part and the hair has not fallen out yet. It is slowly growing and I'm really getting used to it but I understand it will most likely fall out and gradually regrow in 6 months or more. The donor areas will take some time to heal fully but I'm not experiencing any pain so all is well. I forgot to mention the quality of the donor grafts were excellent. I was told by the techs that I was one of a few people with such great donor hair. These were the counts: Scalp Extraction: 3630 (singles 1105, doubles 1653, triples 872) Beard Extraction: 448 (I don't have counts but my beard hair is super thick) Placement: Hairline and midscalp- 2830 Temple left- 105 temple right 95 Crown- 1048 Also I wanted to note the beard area healed very quickly, just a few days after the procedure. I will update again in 2 weeks and then every month after that. I'm looking forward to healing fully and keeping myself busy to pass the time. Please ignore the hair in the front of the hairline, it's just my widow's peak. I wanted to have it remain.
  11. Hello all, I recently underwent a FUE procedure with Dr. Bhatti at Darling Buds, India. 3630 grafts were harvested from my donor area from the back/side and 448 grafts were harvested from by beard. My hairline, temples, the area behind the hairline, and crown were filled in with transplanted hair. I'll start by sharing my experience and telling you a little about myself. About me: I'm 23 years old, soon to be 24, have experienced hair loss since I finished high school about 5-6 years ago. I traveled for this trip from CA after getting in to contact with one of Dr. Bhatti's reps. I stayed in India for only 1 day post procedure and came back to CA. My entire time in India was awesome. Dr. Bhatti and his team took care of everything for me and made me feel right at home. I got to meet some other patients as well and made a few friends during my stay. About the procedure: The procedure took approximately 9 hours. I can say the most painful part was getting injections in my chin. I have a high pain tolerance and the procedure was painless for the most part. I respond very fast to anesthetic and Dr. Bhatti constantly checked to make sure I wasn't feeling any pain. I think the hardest part was having my neck in one position for extended periods of time. While it gets a little uncomfortable it wasn't something that I really cared to mess with. I wanted to make sure I was in prime position for the best procedure possible rather than being comfortable for a temporary amount of time. Dr. Bhatti and his staff were very friendly, professional, and accommodating. I am extremely satisfied with all aspects from pre-procedure to during procedure and to the short post-procedure time I had. I will be uploading pictures of my progress at week 1 and 2 and then once a month starting at month 1 to month 9 or until results are in. It is now day 8 and most of the scabs have started to fall off. Feel free to ask me any questions and I will answer them. Also, please understand that I don't have much free time to be on here a lot. I am making this thread to help others make informed decisions so I apologize in advance if I don't get to everyone.
