  3. Hello All, I wanted to share my hair transplant experience with all. I have been losing hair since last 8 year. My hairline had receded quite significantly. I finally decided to take the big step and go for hair transplant. Since I live in Phoenix, Dr. Scott Alexander being one of the best hair restoration doctor was my choice. I had a consultation with him and he advised 1800 grafts procedure for hairline reconstruction. I decided to go with FUT as it suited my budget. The decided date was 10/12/2015. On the day of surgery I arrived at the clinic at 7:30 AM. After some paperwork, Dr. Alexander discussed with me the procedure and the hair line design. The techs then prepped up the area for doctor to take out the strip from. They asked me if I wanted Xanax and I declined. After that Dr. Alexander took out the strip and made incisions in the recipient area. It was time for lunch then. I had a great sandwich for the lunch. Post lunch, the tech placed the grafts in the incision made by the doc. Doctor would keep coming at regular intervals to check and to give more local anesthesia in the areas it was wearing off. They were finished by 4 PM. I was then given post-op instructions. All in all the procedure went really well. Dr. Scott Alexander, his support staff were really nice and knowledgeable. They made the whole procedure really comfortable. I had pain for the next 2 days, but after that it wore off. I am just playing the waiting game now and hoping everything would come out good. Would like to thank Dr. Alexander, his support staff and Spex (patient advisor). They made everything so comfortable.
