Other than the hair getting longer, there's no significant change since last month. I can still see many tiny hair along the hairline, but unfortunately, the density hasn't improved much. I had reached out to the doctor last month and he said my growth may be late and asked me to wait till 9-10 months, so that's what I'll do.

I'm not sure if any major change usually happens after 7 months or if anyone has had such an experience where things suddenly started looking great after 7 months. Dr Bhatti has promised to rectify problems if any - so that's a relief, but just the thought of going through the procedure again and waiting another year is making me sad. Anyway, trying my best not to lost hope and I'll see if things get better in the next 3 months.

Here are the updates at month 6 post op. As I had mentioned in my last update, the growth had been slow for me, but this month, I can see a lot of tiny hair sprouting here and there. Things are slowly getting better. Does this look alright for 6 months?

akdjrd, thanks for the support There has definitely been some growth since the 5th month update, but the new hairs are all too short and thin to make a big difference. I'm 10 days away from the 6th month update, I'll share pictures then.

If you're planning to make a bank transfer when you reach the clinic, make sure you have increased your bank transfer limits etc and have parked enough money in an account belonging to the same bank as the clinic's. I had some trouble with daily transaction limits myself and it's not fun to worry about this when you're already stressed about the surgery!

Definitely not the case. From the pics immediate post-op and after I cleaned up the scabs after 3 weeks, you can see they're definitely not 1cm apart.

I'm definitely not looking for a sparse hairline and I had communicated my desire for enough density with the doctor during consultation. I am hoping that once the planted hair grow out, it will give the look of density even if it is not as dense as the remaining hair.Even though there have been multiple cases of poor results on this forum recently, there are many similar cases done by the doctor in the past with good end results, so I'm keeping my hopes high until I'm at a position to judge the outcome.

At 5 months now. I can definitely see some growth, but I feel things are moving very slowly and not as fast as I had hoped for since month 4. I guess I am a slow grower? On the bright side, the temples have had some good growth and several new hairs are coming out all over. The hairline is still kinda sparse and I trimmed it down a couple of weeks back just to make it look presentable because of family get-togethers etc. So if you notice that the length of the hair at the hairline is shorter than at the 4th month, that's the reason. Am I looking okay for 5 months? What do you guys think?

I have experienced this too. After the second month (after I shed the transplanted hair), when the hair started to grow again, I saw a few thick hair just peeking out of the skin but refusing to grow any longer. After a month or so remaining in the same length, they fell off and got replaced by a thinner strand of hair which is continuing to grow. I am pretty sure these aren't dead follicles.

I am definitely not an expert but I don't think it was a density issue looking at hairline to mid-scalp, what do you guys think? I am eager to know because my head kind of looked like this post-op and I am at that stage (4 months post op) where hair's just starting to grow and I'm getting nervous about the results

I'm at 4 months today. Pimples have cleared up. A lot of tiny hairs have sprouted since the last update. Waiting for things to speed up now. Pics below:

Started shedding 3 weeks in. Started growing back post 3 months.

From far, it would be difficult to see anything suspicious going on. But up close, it does look like there's some powder there. I've heard it's extremely difficult to use the fibre on the hairline because it falls flat on some parts of the skin which makes it easy to see. Maybe spare the edges so it looks more natural? But if your missus says it looks good, don't you worry

Btw, can you show a close-up picture so we can see the hair strands that grew after your last update?

How did the planted hair grow over the last few months? Looks thick AF after applying the fibre . Do you think the fibre at the edges of the hairline makes it look suspicious?

Looks great. Do you have close-up pics of the recipient area immediate post-op? I happened to read a post by you saying you had worries about the grafts being too spaced apart. Just wanted to see how it looked like.

I only trust comb-through videos to believe the actual results . This video did not disappoint. Great transformation!

It's very hard to say if this was a failed HT without seeing immediate post-op pics showing the area that was covered and how the grafts were placed. Even though it doesn't look like a huge transformation, I think you're lucky that the less number of grafts you used for your norwood case didn't end up making your hair look pluggy. It still looks like a very natural head to my eyes. Not sure if the thickening was due to HT or fin. Do you have immediate post-op pics?

Regarding 2nd HT, you should talk to some recommended doctors and see what they think. You should have enough donor left, imo.

Why does 7th month update look less dense than the previous update? Wet hair? Got pics with dry hair?

Soon after I crossed 3 months mark, many hairs started sprouting all over the planted area. They're definitely growing, but nowhere close to making a cosmetic improvement yet since most hairs are short and very thin. I am expecting things to start to thicken up after 4 months as more hairs come out and the existing ones start to thicken. Regarding pictures, I'll update this thread when I hit 4th month milestone (that'll be one more week from today).

This is normal, nothing to worry about.

This was me at 22 years. I've always had a very large forehead too. Only after I crossed 23 I suspected I had MBP because my hair didn't feel right. I'm now 29. I wish I had started fin sooner.

Today marks 3 months post op. Slowly, very slowly, hairs are starting to come out. I can see numerous tiny extremely thin hairs sprouting. The new hairs that have come out last month or so have not grown long, they are still extremely short, it's as if they decided to come out and grow but suddenly changed their mind and went to sleep again soon after they came out Some pimples have come and gone, leaving some marks - which I'm not really bothered about. Still no cosmetic change to report, I am still in the ugly duckling phase.

I'm continuing to take fin 1mg and biotin. Applying minox 5%.

This is actually a valid concern. Someone actually died because of a badly done HT. Google "chennai hair transplant tragedy". Make sure you go to a reputed surgeon after doing a lot of research.

From my own experience, injections are not unbearable. On a scale of 0-10 (10 being the worst), I'll give it 3. The worst part for me was lying down in the same position for hours.
