  1. Thanks for the reply, I have 2 weeks off so I'm hoping I will be like your experience where after 2 weeks the native hair has grown enough to cover up new ones. Good luck, according to what I read on this forum yours will kick into high gear soon:)!
  2. Thanks David, I will of course follow the Dr's orders. 4 weeks won't be bad if that's what he says. Take care
  3. Looks great David, You mentioned coloring your hair. I have about 30 % grey but still color my hair dark. I am getting a FUE transplant in May. Just curious when you colored for the first time post op. I don't mind shaving my head as much as I don't want to basically turn grey all of a sudden after coloring my whole life. Thanks! Vain
  4. I am only there until 4 days post op. I am really hoping the swelling isn't too bad for my flight back home. I don't really care once I'm home.
  5. Having FUE with Dr. Rahal. Thanks for the tips everyone!
  6. Yes, exactly. The whole head will be shaved. You are also right that the hair will only have 2 weeks to grow before heading back to work. now if there was no native hair in the recipient area then after the transplanted hairs shed the patient generally returns to their pre op look (sometimes back to bald until the new hairs grow back) In my case after the new hairs shed and go through a dormant stage and then start growing I am hoping that I will still have the hairs I had pre op so that the entire recipient area will have my "native" hair covering a good portion of the recipient area.. My worry is that the new hairs shed as they should but I also loose the native hairs. Thus making the area bald for a few months even though I started with hair there. Thanks.
  7. Thanks for your reply. They are pretty coarse so I am hoping they will make it. Take care
  8. I have seen pictures with a headband, I was wondering if that was why. Thanks
  9. Hi I understand that I should expect facial swelling because I am only getting front hairline done. By reading through the forums I understand I should expect this in 2-5 days post op. I will be flying home on day 4 post op so I expect I will be at my worst. Any tips on how to avoid, minimize, speed up this process would be appreciated. I am thinking maybe standing lots during the day may speed it up. Massaging? ice? advil? and I will definitely sleep at a 45 degree angle. What has worked for you guys? Thanks!
  10. Hi there. I am getting a FUE transplant of approx. 2500 grafts in a few months. it is in the first couple inches of the existing hairline only. I am curious about your experiences with native hair loss. What I am hoping is that by the 2 week mark when I return to work that my native hair has grown enough to camouflage the redness in recipient area. But will most of that hair survive? Thanks, I have been reading these forums and hear a fair amount about shedding etc. But I am wondering if I have about 50% coverage already can I expect to still have 50% when the new hair shed etc. All of my transplants are in areas with existing hairs.( not lowering on changing hairline. Just thickening it up) Thanks again
  11. Hi, I am getting a fue transplant by Dr. Rahal. I am just wanting to know if your native hairs in recipient area fell out. I too am doing a thickening up of my existing hairline and I am hoping the native hairs will cover up redness etc. Are yours still all there? Thanks
