  1. I am now day 7 post FUE. For the past week, I have been following the doc's advice and carefully pouring a diluted shampoo solution onto my head using a plastic cup and gently rinsing in the same manner. There was a lot to take in on the day of the procedure and I am not really sure how long I need to do this for, My literature says 2 weeks, but it looks like this is generic literature and is more aimed at an FUT situation where there is an FUT wound to care for. I would like to shampoo normally tomorrow and then get a very gentle haircut on Saturday (Day 9) unless there is a good reason not to. Also, the most obvious cosmetic aspect is now my crown. How long would you generally expect before thsi looks less obvious?\ Thanks in advance for any comments.
  2. Thanks for taking the time to respond. My HT was an impulse buy and not well researched. I was sitting in the chair and having this done within days of first googling this. The doc completely left at lunchtime after stages 1 and 2 and did not check on things either during or after stage 3. I was uneasy about this, but it's all good if the work was done well. With the zero hair ring, I noticed and questioned this when the doc was making the crayon markings on my head and he said it was normal to do this. I guess I will see what it looks like when the hair grows back but I do like to keep my hair short and so I am still a little worried. If I go for a full hairline restoration at the front at some future point in time, I may head to Europe or the US as from what I have read here it seems that the are certain doctors who are have great reputations for this. In Hong Kong I think there are only one or two ARTAS clinics to chose from.
  3. Thanks for these comments. I came off the anti-inflammatories and anti-biotics yesterday and the donor area isn't too swoolen - it is just feeling raw/sore and is still a little red and I was thinking to rub somethinng on it rather than take more pills. I'll go with some aloe-vera for the donor site only. I figure I should leave the transplant sites well alone. My objective is to be " hair cut ready" by Saturday morning which will be 9 days after the HT. I'm currently wearing a bandage and cap as camoflage and am keen to go back to normal ASAP.
  4. Nothing was prescribed by the doctor. Im 4-5 days in and I'm wondering if Vitamin E cream or Aloe Vera might help?
  5. Tried to ask these questions a couple of days ago, but something hit the moderator trigger and has been sitting for a couple of days. Therefore I apologize if a similar post emerges later on. This is a photo of me two days post ARTAS 2026 grafts. I think about 1300 went to my crown and 700 to thicken my hair at the front. Doctor said the most he could take in a one day session is 2000 grafts, but this was stated in my first phone call with the clinic and before I had been examined, so I took this as 2000 being the standard package. Doctor told me I could have a second treatment in a year or so to fully restore my hairline if desired. I have a some questions and concerns, namely The Donor area looks huge for 2000ish grafts versus others I have seen on forums, am I right to be concerned? The Donor area is also very close to my bald spot and I wonder if this is too close? Doctor left a small gap between the perimeter of the grafts on the bald spot and the edge of the bald spot, leaving a small uncovered ring. I told him that I keep my hair short, but he insisted that the grafts would cover this bald ring. Is this normal? Doctor was present for the stage one hair removal and the stage two making of the holes, but left a couple of nurses/technicians unsupervised to do the stage 3 actual transplant work. This surprised me and I wondered if this is normal? Really appreciate any thoughts on the above.
