  1. I'm planning to have a FUE transplant done with Dr Doganay some time in the next few months to fill the corners of hairline. Dr Doganay suggested I'd probably need around 1,200 grafts, however I have a couple of questions for you guys before I go ahead and book a date. My main concern at the moment is further hairloss. I've been on Dut for the last 4 years which has (as far as I can tell) completely stopped my hairloss progressing. At the moment my hairloss is in a late NW2 or early NW3 stage, but I'm not sure where I will end up, especially without the Dut. My father is a NW5 and the guys on my mothers side who are balding seem to be around a NW3 on average. So if I go ahead with the transplant I'd either need to hope that I'm in the lucky group and my hairloss won't progress beyond a NW3, or the Dut prevents me from ever reaching NW5. For the record I'm in my late 20s, so I think it's very likely my hairloss would progress at least a little yet without Dut. Is having a transplant in my situation risky? Would anyone advise against me going ahead? I've heard that shaving your hair down isn't really an option after a transplant because of the scaring, even with FUE. Can anyone confirm this? Finally, I'm a little bit concern about the density of the transplanted hair. I've seen some transplants like Rooney's where the transplanted hair is incredibly thin. I'd really like it thick enough that I can style it up with gel and so it also blends in with my existing hair which is still thick on top. Is this something that I can expect, possibly at the cost of more grafts, or is the final thickness down to luck? Thanks. Also, any comments on Dr Doganay's work would be appreciated.
