  1. Case studies like these are as close as we may ever get to a true evaluation of the yield differences between FUT and FUE. The experiment has been fairly well standardized. The same patient/physiology, similar timeline, and modern surgical protocol. The only variable in the experiment is the method used to perform the procedure. The conclusion is fairly obvious: the FUE grew poorly and the FUT grew well.

  2. Dr Lindsey:

I find this technique very interesting. Definitely innovative. I think scenarios where patients can obtain industry standard results with a minimally invasive approach are rare. However, modifying the existing FUE practice seems to have worked for this very purpose in the case of mFUE. I'm considering both approaches (FUE and FUT), but leaning towards FUT because of the results. However, this may be an approach worth considering as well. Thank you for creating and sharing these videos.

  3. Great write up. Dr Alexander's FUT work is very reliable. He continually demonstrates consistently good results, and this is adding weight to FUT (opposed to FUE) for me. If you look at the work posted here as raw data, the FUT category exhibits consistent success. In scientific studies, the ability to reproduce a procedure with reliable results (reproducibility) indicates good protocol. The fact that strict FUT protocol leads to these type of results on a consistent basis indicates that it is a reliable, reproducible procedure.

  4. Beldarcone:

Thank you for this write up. I'm highly considering Dr Feller for a FUT procedure as well.

I have a few questions (and maybe someone from the clinic could reply if Beldarcone is not sure of the answers). Does the clinic still use custom cut blades with lateral incisions? Are surgical steel staples still used for closing the donor? Did the clinic mention anything about upcoming medical therapies (like PGD2 blockers/PGE analogs, injections of growth factors, duplication/cloning)?

I'll check in on your progress.
