  1. Hi Biolizard, Thankyou for your insight into going down the road of a hair transplant. As Wylie mentioned, I can't really get a grasp of your situation without photos of your outcome. As he mentioned, maybe to you it's worse than it might look to others. In fairness, I feel a little safer in the fact that my hair style is in a way which generally covers the receding hairline anyway, it would be nice to have shorter sides and not have to bring the hair forward slightly to cover it up but in the worst case scenario I feel safe in the fact that I can just continue styling my hair as I currently do and a potential bad HT wouldn't be visible. I intend of finding a doctor who will do it without the need for my hair down to stubble. My hair is generally a lot shorter at the back anyway so I wouldn't mind that area being cut short for the donor region. Does anybody have any good stories of a HT they might have had in such a place as Turkey where it would be cheaper? I don't mean the cheapest place possible, I'm trying to find a good quality place that is competitive in their pricing when compared to places like the UK or America.
  2. It happened again, I'm not sure if it's me or the forum changing the symbol, but yeah I meant pounds
  3. Thankyou all for the supportive and warning replies. It looks like there's some confusion here due to my typo. I'm the the UK and I'm talking about ?2000. I was under the impression that from an economical stand point, because of the competition in Turkey that there should be some very good doctors working in the hair restoration department who need to charge these low prices because they don't really have a choice to charge what their services are really worth. That aside, Cosmedica (when I mentioned earlier) are charging €1850 including pickup from the Airport and Clinic to Hotel travel and even 2 nights at the hotel it's self. I emailed them and the assistant got back to me with a quote of 1500-2000 grafts which doesn't seem like a lot, at least half of what people seem to have done in most of the before and after pictures I've seen. I know people are trying to be helpful here but I think my mind is made up that I get this done. It is something I've been saying I want to get done for a few years now, I was probably too young when I first started worrying but I'm almost 26 now, I know it's still not an ideal age but I feel like it's the right call. I will look into the Doctors that have been suggested so far, thank you.
  4. It seems to have stopped receding now or slowed down a lot. I just wanted to fix it because I have self confidence issues and this is one of the main problems. As you can see, I have fairly long hair and usually have my fringe swept up and over, a bit of a quiff. I generally keep the sides medium length though and find myself using product to bring them forward to cover up the receding hairline.
  5. Hi, I'm looking into getting a hair transplant at an affordable price but of good quality. I have attached 2 images of my hairline, many might say it's not that bad but to me I really don't like it and would like to have it restored. I live in the UK but I'm willing to travel in order to get a cheaper price as in the UK it seems to be really expensive and I really can't afford it. I'm willing to pay around ?2000 for the treatment. Could anybody recommend the best course of action for me please? For example, where I should be looking and how I should go about contacting them, through their websites etc. I was recently looking at 2 places in Turkey, one called Cosmedica and the other, Beauty Travels 24, both of which are in Istanbul and seem to offer very good prices. I would prefer an operation where I don't need stitches or skin removed and if possible, I'd like to not have to shave my entire head. Please help, I feel lost. Thanks, Lee
