  1. I remember this guy because he had a thinning pattern similar to mine. His original posting is below. http://hair-restoration-info.c...6060861/m/2541092693
  2. Spex, I PM'd you additional photos to have Dr. Feller take a look at and get his thoughts. Thanks.
  3. I appreciate all the advice and information. I'd be interested sending in additional higher quality photos for thoughts from the docs. While I'd love to have my hair look the same as it did 10 years ago, I think I'd much rather err on the side caution. My biggest fear is I get too aggressive and then the rest of my hair ends up falling out in 5 years.
  4. So here's the deal. I've been losing my hair slowly (death by a thousand cuts) over the past 6 or 7 years and its finally started to get to the point where the loss is starting to bug me. I've been lurking on this and other sites for the past few years and am thisclose to taking the plunge. I've posted here a few times before but with little advice. I'm 32 almost 33 and have been on finasteride for almost 18 months and minxodil for the past 5 or so years. The finasteride seems to have stabilized the loss in the vertex and mid-scalp and actually seems to have thickened a bit. I can still see my hairline and temple area thinning, albeit slower. My father is 57 a NW5-6 with high sides, although I must say I have my mother's side of the family hair characteristics (thick and dense and of Southern European heritage). My question is this....I'm looking for advice on whether I'm a candidate for FUE, as I am still hesitant on having a long scar in the back of my head at this age in my life. Secondly, how many grafts would be ideal to get a nice NW2-3 hairline. I look forward to hearing everyone's comments.

  6. Abedogg, I'm actually looking into Umar since I live about a mile from his practice. I'm really interested in your progress.
  7. Anybody else that cares to comment? I'm looking for as much information as I can get from posters.
  8. Is 2000 grafts not a viable option for a FUE session? My preference would be FUE rather than strip.
  9. I've been researching hair transplants for the last few years and wanted to post some photos to get an idea from some of the posters on these boards as to how many grafts it looks like I'd need. I'm 32 years old and started noticing my hair thinning around 26 years old, but in the past 2 years has really begun to bother me. I'm currently on finasteride adn have been on it for the past 18 months. My hair has seemed to somewhat stabilize. My hairline has held up somewhat, but I'm pretty close to now having an isolated forelock. My preference is to just add density behind the forelock so I can style my hair in more than one hairstyle. Is it realistic to just add some density to the forelock and connect the mid-scalp to the forelock? How many grafts would I realistically need to add some density. I'd appreciate any information.

  11. hairjordan, Thanks for photos. I'm interested in your case as Dr. Umar has been on my radar for a while now. I'm looking forward to following your progress.
  12. Did you ever look into dermablend? I've heard a few people say it covers reddish tint well. Since you're only 2 weeks out it's probably too early, but maybe in another month or two?
  13. Abedogg, I'm curious and excited to watch your growth as I've been contemplating getting an HT with Dr. Umar for the past year or so. Did you meet any of Dr. Umar's patients? Are you local to so cal?
