  1. thanks for the reply, yeah i was thinking of trying it for at least a year yeah I took fin for maybe 5 years now, noticed the thinning was starting to increase, also I though if dut is better might as well try it, maybe get lucky and get some regrowth right also that taking both dut and fin can get good results I am thinking about that too
  2. walk in doctor said if after 6 months there is no visible signs that it is being effective then I should stop, or see a specialist about a higher dose. Is 6 months long enough do you think to see results?
  3. just to be clear, how profuse do you mean? I can feel a ridge where the lump begins, it is slightly less I believe but I want to sure this isnt something I should be concerned about
  4. yeah its really easy to fret over this over all 3500 grafts, im not sure about how many in the hairline alone yeah I am glad I kept my hair long to hide the transplant, it just looks like I have an unfortunate hair cut right now . I just got some pimples today, did you get those
  5. Just to get opinions, how is everything looking one month out to you guys? Is it normal to still be pretty pink one month post op? I have lost a good bunch of hairs but I know this is normal
  6. Is this shockloss? the scar is one month old, looks fine everywhere else just here on the right temple, so I am just wondering here
  7. well just to let you know in the last week it has gone down
  8. yes thats right, above and behind the ears. no I never used ice, there is no pain with the swelling yeah I guess all I can do really is wait it out, but its worrisome
  9. I am three week post fut with a good doc and I have some swelling just above the donor scar on both temples closer to the back of my head, is this normal for three weeks out? Has anyone else gotten this? My doctor said its okay and let him know how it is in a week, but I have done some reading on the internet about hematoma so now I am concerned.
  10. yeah I am 18 days post right now, and thanks my scar is about the width of a pencil I think, when I was looking into the scars from this clinic they were hard to detect and looked really good, do you think mine will end up that good when its fully healed or did I just not luck out
  11. I had my staples removed three days ago, so sleeping is a ton better and I am still careful about how I lay my head but when I wake up my donor scar still feels tender, is this a sign that I might be stretching it and I should sleep in a different position? I know its said that sleeping shouldnt stretch the scar, but the is fact that its tender when I wake a bad sign?
  12. Be prepared for how wierd it feels though if you get a fut, that really shocked me, to not be able to feel a good portion of your head for awhile, i had it done two weeks ago and the feeling is starting to come back. and my crown is really sore, just to the touch though not always. I had no idea it would feel like this, it wouldnt have changed my descision to have a transplant, but I guess it would have been nice to know, so now you know. or maybe your experience would be different
  13. Yeah I might be doing a fue in the future so thanks for that info
  14. Hey thanks for the answer I hope some crusts are coming off at night I am in day 11 and there are still a bunch
  15. should I let this greasy stuff soak in al night and day? my instructions says apply morning and night but it seems wrong to leave it in all the time, should I just leave it in an hour or so then shower? also another question, i had my hair line done, the right side is fine, no scabs or crusts but the left side has scabs and crusts, why the difference? just weird I think, my camera is crap so pics arent worth putting up
  16. Ah yes it worked lol just woke up an hour ago, so nice to sleep. i took a tylenol after my sleep pill. Yeah my doc gave me pills, it just seemed like the sleeping pill wasnt helping, the pain killer wit the sleeping pill is the key maybe. I threw up the percocet so I dont wanna take too much of that, t3 was fine with me. I am two days post op now, first night was horrible for sleep cuz I was all nauseous from percocet, then come morning after a bit too eat I threw up. I am hoping that with staples the scar wasn’t stretched too badly or anything from my lack of sleep, do you think that could have happened?
  17. Im worried this will give me a bad scar too
  18. I need to get some sleep here, sleep pills are doing nothing for, me I can maybe get an hour in after taking a t3, its just too unbearable to me trying to sleep on my scar its so uncomfortable I have reposition ever couple minutes, And the smallest stupid noises are waking me up...anyway does anyone have any tips for me? I have been sleeping in a 45 angle i think and i have towels and neck pillow and four normal pillow leaned up
  19. will this happen? is it a possibility? thats why I am thinking of taking both at the same time, also I hear its more effective anyways but I am wondering if anyone has actually lost the success they had with fin because they switched over to dut and stopped fin.
  20. thanks for the info, yeah I havent thought of becoming resistant to both drugs, that wouldnt be good. I think I heal well, but thats a tough one to say for sure. I can tell that fin is starting to be less effective, so thats why I wanna start dut. magnum - it sounds like getting a fut would be the safest choice because in the end getting better results is more important then being able to shave your head shorter, and the scars can be really unnoticeable hopefully. I am also worried about losing hair in the future if I go with a FUE if the hairs are taken from outside the safe zone
  21. yeah some of those results are great, I have bee on fin for four years now, it has stopped my thinning but hasnt grow it out, hopefully dut will
  22. I have been on fin for four years now only starting to think of switching to dut or take them both I read something good about doing that. Yeah I am going to wait on my crown because its only thinning right now so hopefully dut grows it back, but my hairline is bald so I think dut woudlnt grow that back
  23. Thanks for the reply, I wish I had been on dut earlier, easier then doing a transplant or two, im hoping it regrows my crown which has only thinned then its only 1 transplant for me yay
  24. Its not as easy as I first thought. Of course I just thought oh FUE is the way of the future so the choice is obvious, but then there is a lot of info about how FUT can provide better results and all that for a hairline. And FUT is better for up to 3000 grafts which I would need. Also has anyone actually had FUE fall out years later because FUE took hair that weren't in the safe zone? I feel I would get great results with FUT, apparently among the best in the world for FUT doc, and the scars are hard to detect, and I shouldnt shy away from what could give me best results because I am worried about a scar and the healing process which is going to suck. But with the hard to detect scars they get now its actually less detectable then 3000 FUE from the back of the head. It might sound like I have already made up my mind but I am just wondering if someone on this site will give me something new to think about. And I may be starting dutasteride soon. Any thoughts on my venting please share. Thanks for reading
