  1. Thanks Joe. I looked at Shapiro Medical's website since they're very close. I didn't see anything about SMP.
  2. Thanks for the reply.I think I'll postpone thinking about HT until next year. I'll try the temp SMP for now and see how it goes. I just want to be sure about how often and how close would I need to shave with SMP. Would anyone recommend a good place to have a temp SMP done in the US? Thanks,
  3. Would SMP help with covering up the scars from FUE? How much does it cost compared to HT? Also back to the issue of shaving, how long can hair be grown with SMP? Thanks,
  4. Thanks for the reply Joe and ontop. I understand that it's very likely that I'll have to have another HT in the future. I also understand that FUE or FUT, there will be scars. My main concern is not being happy with the results or simply not having any growth after and not being able to just go back to shaving. For the vacation, It'll mostly be a family visit so I'm thinking it's not a bad idea to get it done before. Would minoxidil by itself delay the hair loss for few years? I believe I read somewhere that it works better in the crown area. What is the chance of the HT not working? I'm 29 years old, is that too young for a HT? Would it get a lot worst very soon? Both my grandfathers from both side of the family had hair loss I believe. My dad started losing hair in his early 30s. All my brothers have no hair loss. Some of my uncles have some hair loss. Bosley wanted 10k, that's with the special deal they had. Other than the high cost, I just didn't feel comfortable with it and I'm glad I didn't do it.
  5. Hello everyone, I've been losing hair for about 5-6 years now. I used Rogaine for couple of years but stopped when I realized it wasn't doing much anymore. I used Propecia for a week or so then stopped. I'm not sure if it was just in my head or I felt the side effect. I started shaving few years ago. I've been told that I look alright without hair. It's just a hassle to shave everyday or every other day. I do so to hide the fact that I don't have hair on the front. If I leave it more than a day or two the line becomes visible. I went to Bosley last year and they told me I need around 2400 grafts. I've been thinking about doing a HT for some time now but I've been hesitant. I think I'm ready to finally do it. I've decided to get it done in Turkey after reading about several peoples' experiences. I haven't chosen a doctor yet.I have some questions which I will greatly appreciate your help with. 1) I'm thinking about going with FUE because I would like to be able to cut my hear short. Am I wrong in this? 2) I'll probably have the HT this summer. I'm going on a 1 month vacation to the middle east. Is it better to do it before or after? 3) I wouldn't mind getting back on minoxidil after the HT but I don't want to take finasteride at all. Is that possible? 4) Are there any other things to consider after the HT e.g., maintenance, side effects, life style changes? Thank you so much, Abit
