Thanks mate!  I notice some issues, but it's so minor compared to what it would've been like had I not made the visit.

I have noticed all the TP hair in the center retains natural color far more than the sides.  My sides are now almost completely gray naturally.  I wonder if that means Lorenzo picked hair for the color and health or if it's some sort of side effect.  Or simple aging I suppose.

Nope, I haven't noticed anything related to the donor areas.  There's a thin channel up my temple if I don't arrange my hair a certain way.  That's again a minor thing.

Oh she loves it -- sort of takes it for granted now.  She does pay for all my haircuts though!

Looks great!  He's quite the wizard.  How different was the second trip?  I was contemplating one more visit to him someday.

I too remember Lorenzo's taste for heavy metal, ha!  He was a working-machine doing so much each day and into the evening.  I also had the hairline conversation and thought his original line was wrong. And hey, he proved me wrong because I'm happy with 99% of the results.

It's been awhile since I posted.  Here's shots from May of 2018.  I'll get some shots from this year, although it hasn't really changed since then.  I'm always happy with the results, even when I have "bad hair" days.  You can see from some shots my crown is thin if I brush it forward.  The only other thing of note is the hairline on the front right.  It can sometimes look like a too-perfect edge.  However I'm nitpicking on overall great results.

Here's week 24, halfway through Month 5. There's another cycle of growth with smaller hair coming up. This should help add more density to hide the scalp under bright top lights.

I've also included a topdown photo from the day of the procedure to now.

This was my first professional haircut in years. I have a formal event soon and needed some taming. The HT was left pretty much alone. It was only my regular sides taken down. This will also be the first time most people I work with will see me without a hat. It'll be interesting! More than once my wife has said she's really impressed with the results.

The stylist did a good job. A little Toppik and hair goop can mask the scalp with some style while I wait for more to grow in the next months. I do not have any Toppik concealer in any of these photos.

I also dyed my hair for the first time since the procedure to cover up wild gray. It's been very satisfying to see the change bloom since the "ugly duckling" phase.

A lot of growth this past month. It looks solid from the front. From the top down or under sunlight the new areas aren't dense enough to hide scalp. You can still see the outline of my head in the front when looking at the side. Hopefully more density will appear in the coming months.

I thought months 4-6 was when most of the new hair grows. At the start of the 4th month, I have what I was expecting with one procedure so I'm curious what will happen later this year.

My scalp is no longer numb. There's still some tint to it. I've been actively out without a hat and sticking my head out the window like a dog to enjoy the breeze!

Hey redcut - what app are you using to get your desired goal hairstyle pic? Is that just photoshop?

Sorry... I just saw this post! I'm using Photoshop and some elbow Google Image search grease. Find a hair style you like then take a photo of yourself at the same angle as a starting point.

FYI, I just took my 4 month photos and will organize them for posting soon. Before and after my first profession haircut in years.

For anyone looking, here's my 3 month progress...

My existing hairline is still far more dense than the new areas, creating that harsh transition line.

My scalp is still noticeable red and still slightly numb in the middle.

To Ontop - yeah, I'm concerned about what will happen if I stop. I do have some of the side affects though, I'm curious what a 3-5 month halt will affect me overall.

To Farmcat - Hopefully your second trip is the final polish! I'm thinking about a second visit too whenever the planets and my wallet align (at least a year from now).

I would be interested in seeing them Redcut.....I started seeing some hair sprouting by month 3 like fine baby hair but it was significant by month 5.....and different areas definitely came in at different rates .....make sure to take pics for yourself around the same day every month to compare....when I got to month 5 I had pretty good growth and started thinking this is all I'm probably gonna get but when I compared it to my 6 month pics there was a huge difference.....I had pretty steady increases through about 9 months.....I think after that the hair seemed to still be maturing as far as losing some of it's curl, etc....then at 11 moths I went back for my second transplant and had my head shaved again.

Reading your checkpoints is helpful for me, farmcat!

I'll make a point of taking pics each month. I've tried to find the same angles to more easily compare any changes.

Did everything for you balance out in the end? No patches that felt less than others?

Redcut, do you use some medication? Finasteride, Minoxidil?

Finasteride for the past 18 months. I started Minoxidil the same time, then stopped right after the procedure. I wasn't really seeing anything earth shattering on my crown after foaming it for over a year.

I'm not sure of the Finasteride is doing anything either. Maybe it's preventing more loss. I might stop using it in a year after this HT is stable to see what happens.

Small update... I can see more sprouting up on my right front side. Now I need to wait for the left side to catch up.

Dr. Lorenzo sent me the photos he took during the visit. I can post those if there's an interest.

Did Lorenzo make the extractions by himself with FUE Implanter Pen?

His Technicians did the extractions. He personally implanted them in two sessions per day with his special implanter pens. I was surprised he didn't just punch out at 6pm like I thought most Doctors did. Both nights I was there he worked on me for several hours for the second session and didn't leave until well after 9-11pm at night.

Not all of his Technicians do the extraction. Only certain ones do, while others load the Implanters when he's tapping them in the head.

I think this is the most detailed write-up I've ever seen on any forum lol. Good for you man. With the amount of grafts for the area I think this should be a killer result. Good luck and grow well.

Thanks! I did get a bit elaborate at times. When I was researching a year ago I appreciated people who had too many details rather than ones that felt like there was something missing. It wasn't an easy decision, especially with going overseas. I'm glad I dug deep to find a lot of edge cases to make my trip pretty damn easy when all was said and done.

How many hairs is that?

How many hairs total? The grafts were 4,301 which had a variety of individual hairs within the follicle ranging from 1-4. I'm not sure how many were applied to each area though.

Was Dr Lorenzo insistent on a more mature hairline or was he open to it being changed to your liking?

He made a point of talking about matching a hairline to my age. I think he would've changed his mind if I had pushed. However I didn't want anything too radical so I wouldn't look terribly different once everything was said and done. Having said that, I'd like to have a lower center peak than I do right now -- perhaps half-an-inch.
