  1. Hi I’m a male to female transsexual living in the UK and I need help in choosing a surgeon to carry out hair transplant procedure. I could search this forum for weeks looking to see which surgeon has had the most positive reviews but to save me the hassle I would really appreciate if you know the answer to this already. My budget is somewhat limited as I don’t earn a great income as it is so ?10,000 for example would be a real stretch for me. I have been for one consultation already at the Harley street clinic in London called UK Hair and they said I would need 3900 grafts for the frontal area using the FUT strip method as I would need a lower hairline for obvious reasons. I was also given a name from a TS friend of mine, Dr May from Wimpole Clinic who could do the procedure for a good price but after reading some posts on this forum about him I’m going to stay well clear. I want to get a quote from Dr Rahal as I’ve heard he’s good and they apparently help with funding for travel costs. I’m looking to start on Avodart also as soon as possible to help keep what I already have a strengthen the crown area. I’m not taking any hormones yet but will hopefully be on them soon in injection form as this plays less havoc with the liver. Regards Joanna
