  1. So I have been losing my hair since I was around 19 and was always a bit worried about it. I probably never really tried to fight my hair loss till about 26 (still was always on my mind), then I went to a doctor and he prescribed propecia and minoxidil. I stayed on these treatments for about 3 and half years, with not a lot of success, it probably just slowed it down a bit. Eventually when I hit 30 I was planning to go down the hair transplant route, seemed pretty good choice with todays continuous improvement using FUE procedure. I made some consultations in different clinics, most said my donor hair was not the best and some even recommended to try PRP treatment first. I did a bit of research myself and I refused the PRP treatment, as it is pretty new to the market and there is lack of results. Also after almost booking my flight to have my transplant in Turkey with one of the top surgeons, I decided that hair transplant was not going to give me the results I wanted as I was about Norwood 6 and pretty bad donor hair. I tried to shave my head, but I hated it and it did not suit me at all. I then looked at my only option left into hair replacement. I was pretty nervous about it as it was always a bad image wearing a hairpiece in society. Then after a while I pulled the trigger and said screw it, I will give it a go. It is less risky than a hair transplant anyway. So I made an appointment with a good company and that was it. At first I must say it was a strange feeling wearing it and bit nervous about it. But after a while I got used to it and even forgot about it. Most of the people I have not seen in a long time could not tell it was a hairpiece. I even went out on dates and after telling them about it after a few dates, they were surprised because they could not tell and did not mind me wearing it. If it will make you happier go for it, screw what everyone else thinks about it. So in the end of the day, I am happy with the result, and has made me more confident and I do not worry anymore about hair loss. What I recommend is finding a good company/hairdresser that uses good hairpieces and ones that know what they are doing. Also try and avoid the scam companies like advanced hair.
