  1. Hi Wibbles and Mikeey, I have been on Propecia for and year and a half now and did have some minor crown loss which has stabilised and regrown. I'm 28 and have about 4000 fue grafts left for the future. The wave in my hair when it's longer is something that has developed with the transplant but i like it and so does my girlfriend! Thanks
  2. Thought i'd just give a quick update as it's been almost a year now since i had my fue procedure. I'm really happy with how it's turned out and its nice to not worry about my hair at all (especially in the wind and water). Lots of people i haven't seen for a while don't have a clue and even my new hairdresser didn't know i'd had anything done! Thanks
  3. Hi Guys, So its been just over 5 months now and i'm really happy with how things are progressing. The front hairline is still a bit thin but there are a number of finer hairs i can see that will thicken it up nicely once they've matured. The pic i've attached was taken in natural light and with a bit of styling product in it which i must admit is nice to use after so long without it! Overall i'm happy with the progress and looking forward to the summer now with a good head of hair! I'll post another update around 6 months Regards
  4. Hi KRL, Yes i started propecia 6 months before my surgery and working well so far
  5. Hi Guys, I've attached a couple of pictures which show the progression from month 3 onwards to now (it's actually 2 weeks before 4 months not 10 days). I apologise that the lighting is not the same but i think the growth is evident. One side is growing faster than the other but hairs that pop out now seems to become visible quicker than the before so starting to see my new hairline! I'll post another update towards April when i'll be approaching 5 months but happy with my progression so far. Cheers
  6. Thanks Sunny, I'll update at 3 months soon but things are slowly starting to happen now which is exciting
  7. Hi New Look, I do have a thread on here 3108 FUE grafts that i will update at some point over the next few weeks but i will reiterate that i had a great experience with Dr Erdogan and his team. Regards
  8. "Ive had several Dogonay and Erdogan patients inbox me to warn me about his shoddy work and the repercussions on their lives and wallets" "I've seen plenty of donkey results from both Doganay and Erdogan that are completely at odds with the unbelievable results they posted when they first joined the recommended list" Kdub87 and cryingoutloud. I must admit as a recent patient of Dr Erdogan i find both of these remarks quite baffling. During my due diligence prior to undergoing my procedure i could not actually find a poor result from the ASMED clinic and even the ones that have been posted by patients on here (though there are admittedly not too many at the moment) have all been very good. I have not even reached 2 months yet but am already beginning to see some regrowth and i don't think it's fair to make the same disparaging remarks about both clinics as i think on balance, there have been quite a fair number of sub par results recently from Dr Doganay though ones from Dr Erdogan are rare at best. I just felt i needed to give some balance here so people do not think that there are a high number of poor Dr Erdogan results which could put them off going with the an excellent hair restoration team. Regards
  9. Thanks future and Yaz. I'm am pretty calm about things and well prepared for the various stages. I'm traiaing for a half marathon at present so that and work are keeping me busy. Regards
  10. Thanks Squatch and here's hoping for excellent growth for us both Just got to play the waiting game now. The reason i got it in November was to coincide with winter so no one will question why i'm wearing a hat and as its gotten very cold in the UK at the moment everyone is wearing a hat.
  11. Hi Guys I recently (5 – 6th November) underwent a FUE procedure for 3108 grafts with Dr Koray Erdogan at the Asmed clinic in Istanbul. I won’t go into great detail on the experience as many people have documented it in great detail but will concur with the sentiments that the clinic is quite something (new, large, very clean and dedicated to hair transplants) and the staff are all very friendly, professional and the whole experience (barring the flight home) was beyond my expectations and makes me wonder why I felt nervous before hand. My main purpose of providing this account is to help other people when they are considering their options for surgery as I know a few threads on here (Yaz being the main one) helped me make a decision to go with Asmed (along with the high number of documented cases on the web) I have posted 4 pictures (I can’t find the CD with all the clinic taken pictures on so have the ones I took screen shots of) which show pre op, post op placement, 10 days post and where I am now at 1 month. The pre op pictures are wet and I know this is a point of contention sometimes but I understand the reasons why the clinic do it (to show up the thinning areas) and the way I styled my hair before hand (just lying flat) would not have shown much about my level of hair loss. A couple of points to note is that I feel I have suffered some minor shock in the forelock though there was a fair bit of miniaturisation here. The skin is still a bit pink in the recipient area though donor healed very quickly and was back at work 1 week later. I will update this thread every month with my progress and will be happy to answer anyone’s questions if they any. Oh and few technical bits on my surgery Singles: 565 Doubles: 1925 Threes: 592 Fours:26 Average hair per graft: 2.02 Donor density measured at 60/70/80 and my total donor capacity (norwood V in my family) was 7800 grafts. I have been on Propecia for 7 months now. Cheers
