Ha! Found a notification in my e-mail about this topic. Barely active here, so totally forgot about this topic to be honest.Anyway will definitely update once more but that will be the final update around the 14-16 month mark!

I believe that was a comment to the ripoff report rebuttal, I believe that probably was sanjar commenting, but the clinics rebuttal was about a different case, which involved a man from Utah who had supposedly already had a procedure prior, Sanjar had a virgin scalp, I think this only solidifies that this clinic is a butcher shop, another funny thing that I noticed is that Dr James Boland in his profile stated he was in the airforce, DD214 is a certificate of discharge used by the American military, is that a coincidence? Taken everything in to consideration, I find it unbelievably coincidental. -
I can see your pain is real and feel bad that you think I am 'with' the place that did this. My initial response was one of skepticism but hopeful things weren't as bleak as it seemed. I apologize for being insensitive or impatient that you didn't reply sooner, as you said, you haven't been on this site for awhile. I DO NOT apologize to any of the posters (fruitcakes) that think I had anything to do with this though. As I said I am an ex medical professional who had work done at the clinic. It's that simple. At one year I happily posted my results here never thinking it would be used against me.
But you have a legitimate issue with this clinic and the players involved. You should seek whatever relief you can to remedy the situation. Document, document, document... That includes any contact (phone, email, letter etc...) you've had with this clinic. This is evidence. Date and time, who you spoke with, what was discussed and the result of the conversation. Try to negotiate a resolution first. If you feel they are not interested in helping you resolve this or are stonewalling, start looking online for Colorado legal advice. Familiarize yourself with CO law. Some attorney's will be avl to speak with you and some may not. You are looking to speak with a legal professional with litigation experience in medical malpractice or medical negligence. Begin developing your case as an attorney would even prior to speaking to one. Prepare a portfolio with your documentation and notes and start making calls. Educate yourself. In an earlier post I wrote about 'respondent superior' and how the med. dir. is ultimately responsible for the care and procedures performed by the clinic. If you contact the clinic again, bypass everyone else and ask to speak only to
medical director when discussing your grievances. I don't blame you for not wanting to allow him to repair this. Ask him to make a referral while understanding the clinic will be responsible for whatever cost it takes to fix. Be smart.. If you feel negotiation or arbitration is impossible, don't tell them you are going to speak to an attorney. This might end any attempt to resolve this one on one as they may 'lawyer up' and cut off communications with you.
I'll give you another medical term you case may fall under. It is 're ipsa loquitur' and means the thing speaks for itself. I believe based on your photos an attorney may agree and because of this may work pro bono. Call these people and see if they can help.

I want to thank all of the supporters.I checked this threat after almost two months and I couldn't believe what I saw. This amount of support never happened to me in my whole life. My English is not good but my pictures shows and talks about the pain and suffering which I experience every day and night.I didn't want to think about anything in the past two months and I was so weak . My goal was to stay calm and focus on recovery. it's three months already past but I still have bleeding here and there.back of my head feels like a wood and front is still red and numb. I feel so miserable and now I'm not able to go out without hat. even I can't open the door of my apartment on mailman or delivery guy without covering my head. I can't even shave my head anymore because of many holes in back of my head and redness in front. This clinic destroyed my private and social life and now this DD214 saying "gee thanks sanjar" and proves who she/he is. I'm talking to that butcher chop shop staff now. you might think I am only one person,not even able to speak English perfectly, trusted us like a kid so lets steal his money and f..k his head. who cares. he can't do anything. he said he saved this money little by little so he can't afford a lawyer. he is not even from Colorado,so let's steal his money and kick him out! but my answer is no. you'll see the amount of support here and I'm so happy now to find myself not alone. I'll seek help and I'll make sure no one become like me under your criminal hands. Having seen this I would never do FUT again. But that quality of work is evidently hard to find in the US today. From my cursive search it seems the best docs are overseas? Even some guys on this site have been to several places in the US with only mediocre results.
If I was going to spend that kind of money I would want to only go thru this once. That's why for now I'm satisfied with what I have. At least my exwife likes it..
When my daughter gets out of HS, I'm going to visit friends in Amsterdam and travel Europe for awhile (Madrid, Nice, Roma).... May check out a clinic while I'm there, if not sooner. Nice to have a contact.. You're not retiring anytime soon are you?

I can be loyal to a fault sometimes in both working relations and friendships.. And would never betray someone who's done me a good deed or favor. That will probably never change.... The HT virgin I was was grateful to the clinic and felt an obligation to defend them. That's just who I am.
My eyes really opened after reading Micky's thread and then seeing Dr. Lorenzo's FUE work in Mexico. I had no idea that kind of density was even possible. About 50grafts/cm...? Wow!!
So, you help Italianos with repair work. That's admirable. My dad was Siciliano and I want to take my daughter to Palermo (Italia) next year. My 3rd trip her first...... Appreciate it Lorenzo. Thanks for hanging in there with me.
DDIt is normal to defend you doctor especially when you are satisfied with your results. I have met all kinds of patients from other doctors. Some have great results and aren't happy other results don't look good but the patient is happy. I am glad you can now see that this poster result is somewhat barbaric. This doctor shouldn't be offering FUE at all. At $2 a graft I am sure he get enough business for his FUT. I help the Italians that come to Hasson and Wong that have to be repaired because they got too caught up with price rather than quality.

You have made excuses for the clinic and even said such a stupid comment that at least he will have more hair. This patient made this thread to warn others and ask what he should do to fix this. You ignored what was done to him and said this might look good in time. Nobody here buys this. The only person that would try and defend this is someone that works for this clinic. This patient has been through a nightmare . He has had his money and his hope stolen from him by your clinic. Your ignorance to what has been done to him would be like telling a burn victim that you can't see the burns. This patient knows he was butchered so he posted for support. People here don't beat people down about their results. People commented because he knows how bad this is and nobody would want to make him feel worse or lie to him that this might turn out ok. You have blamed us for contributing to his depression. This was your first spin and nobody buys it. We all want the best for him and to stay away from your clinic. The only things questioned about you were your ethics and affiliation to this clinic. I want you to know this is a hair transplant forum and that means basically a support group. You have broken several of the core rules here by attacking HTsoon. You have attacked him personally about his transplants and I think you should be banned from this site. We can all disagree about things but attacking someone about their hair transplants on a hair transplant site is not acceptable. You clearly have no ethics it's obvious. You cannot spin this. I've spent the last two hours looking at FUE videos on youtube watching vids and the use of a 0.85MM extraction tool used in FUE. Now understand the difference in using a 1.00MM vs. the 0.85 and the users technique. I've also been reading the FUE thread here that some guy named 'Micky' started. Tons of useful information there.
This is literally the first time I've used this site the way it was intended. I completely see everything your saying now. Should have done this two years ago but decided to trust and go with the flow that I now regret.
FUT and FUE heal considerably different. FUT is a straight line and FUE are circles. I have posted two FUE photos. The first one has a lot more holes and they are considerably smaller than the posters. The second one shows you FUE with holes similar to this gentlemen. He left his hair long because he would never be able to cut it shorter. Both these result are not considered the norm when done by a competent doctor.This size of the scar is already established. If anything the hole may become bigger if the grafts beside them were damaged during the extractions.

That looks about right. Stay away from hot hot showers. I use Nioxin and have seen zero hair in the shower drain since starting the tx a year ago.. It should continue to come in and 'normalize' for a few more months.
Hi All. Its been exactly 5 months since my FUT HT. I had very little growth until I reached the 4 month mark. That's when I saw a noticeable difference. But I have a few questions about the newly grown hair. My first question is that roughly how much time it takes for their texture to become normal. They are wavy and have a wire like texture and are hard to style and they don't seem to follow the direction of a brush. I have been using brush gently on them, is it even safe to use a brush at this time? Some times it seems like the gaps between the hair specially the hair line has increased a little, could be my imagination but is it possible that the brush might have taken some hair out? Is it easy for the hair to come out?My 2nd question is that can I use hair dryer or color the hair or use gel? Is it bad for the transplanted hair after 5 months?
Finally I want to ask everyone's opinion about the growth. Please see the before and after pic and tell me if this is normal for 5 months. I met my HT doc about 2 weeks ago and according to him, my growth looks good for 4.5 months. He said from this time on, they are going to get thicker and the small empty spaces should fill up. I really hope he is right . I'll really appreciate any comments or suggestions.

I think the only way to tell is when it heals. Then they can see how much scare tissue there is. Mine healed very well and hopefully his does as well.
DD214 I have a lot of experience in hair transplants. His repair will probably cost him a lot more. In one year when you see his results you will understand. I feel horrible for him because he didn't deserve this. There aren't too many doctors that will be able to fix this mess. -
I think they should. HT recipients should only go to places whose core competency is in the area they seek treatment.
I'm sure where ever you are receiving bone marrow, you're not their first pt. Depending on the size of the ACF they have likely done thousands.
DD214If you are indeed happy with your transplant then why doesn't the clinic only offer FUT. Looking at these result they should not offer FUE at all.
Wait until they either have the money or travel. At the end it will cost this guy a lot more to repair. I bet if you ask him he would say if he knew what was going to happen he rather go bald.
Next month I am going to have my second bone marrow transplant in the last three years. I am at one of the best clinics in the world. Thanks to the Canadian Medical system I do not have to pay the $500,000 USD transplant. If somebody told me they would give me $300K to have a transplant somewhere else I would refuse.

There is no price that can justify a bad transplant. Donor hair is limited so every hair wasted or damaged is worth over $20 a hair to me because it will never be replaced. I help the Italians that come to Hasson and Wong and I have seen a lot of horrible repair patients that were conned because of price.Losing your hair is natural, having a bad transplant isn't.

During the last two or three days I learned a lesson defending my HT results to people mad at this clinic. I educated myself about FUE's to get a better understanding of what everyone was saying. Some of the work I found was amazing but came with a hefty fee. Like many things in life and as tempting as 6-8USD/follicle sounds, people still have to live within their means. If I chose one of these places, instead of paying $5K I would have paid $15-20K. For many today that is a tough decision.
But I agree with you in that a medical facility needs to stay within their core competency. They should have said it would be best to do an FUT. And they may have........ In either case, if he lets them, the clinic should try to make it right with this guy when his wounds heal. I had a hlthcare company and know I would.
I disagree with this being criminal. Maybe civil but not criminal. I'm not a legal guy but my assessment was I saw nothing they did to be non-compliant with regs and law. Trust me when I say I saw what they did and they are doing it the way a clinic should be operated. That's my professional opinion. Their med. dir. carries all the liability and no doc is going to risk their license for a facility that doesn't have it all together. That's a certainty.

Doesn't the doctor have a duty to tell the patient. We do great FUT but are not that good at FUE. After that don't you think the patient would either decide to get FUT or go to another clinic for FUE.
Nobody can defend what we have seen. It look similar to the plugs from the 70's. DD214 obviously you are an intelligent guy so why not check out other doctors FUE result and see the huge difference. The patient is not innocent either because he didn't research enough and was convinced become of the clinics price. I really feel bad for him because what has happened to him is criminal in my opinion.

I said 'I, me, myself...' don't know a lot about FUE, not the clinic. I simply stated the clinic I had my procedures done is known for FUT's.
I think the real question is why the clinic would agree to perform or let alone offer FUE? This clearly looks like sub-par work which DD214, you clearly state is due to lack of experience in FUE. If the Doctor, or in this case, Nurse, knows that he/she will not be up to standards, or does not lack the skill or knowledge to perform FUE, should not offer it and stick with FUT only. It is what a reputable clinic would do. I also believe they cannot do FUT, unless you clearly post your results. What I see is a butchered patient. Wouldn't even wish that procedure on my worst enemy. -

I would have never guested my question would have turned into a feeding frenzy the way it did. To be the target for criticisms was completely unexpected. I never meant to represent anybody but myself, what I saw and experienced there.
Having already posted two before and after pics of my FUT results, I'm not sure at this point whether or not I'm comfortable posting more. I'll think about it.
There's no name calling.I made reference to a conversation that has become senseless--which it has. The metaphor isn't an insult, but a plea for this unfortunate dialogue to stop.
If you really feel so strongly about this doctor or clinic all you'd need to do is post results to justify what feels like an off-base endorsement and it would all go away.

Until you needlessly chimed in with your insults I was thru with this. I have no dog in this fight but you keep making this personal.

Maybe you're not use to people standing up for themselves against your onslaught of accusations and name calling. You need to learn. And it just kills you to read I had a good experience and satisfied outcome with these people. Hey, I'm sorry Sanjar is depressed about his procedure too and that he lives so far away that he can't get his issues addressed. That would suck for anybody. But I wouldn't have done what he did in traveling so far for a major purchase that may require follow up. To me that's common sense. That doesn't give you carte blanche to tee off on me because I asked a question or write of my experience. You got the wrong guy for that.

But because you brought up a point I'm familiar with I'll respond. As mentioned earlier, when I first went to clinic I observed their system and was comfortable with what I learned. Everything I saw was legal. In my case the Dr. surgically cut the donor strip and the staff, again in my case a registered nurse, did the donor prep and insertions. You are right about one thing though and I don't know how a clinic could charge so little if a doctor did it all start to finish.
Just fyi. In healthcare there is a medical phrase this system falls under. It is 'respondent superior.' Literally it means 'let the master answer.' Legally meaning everything done in the clinic and under the doctor's care is the doctors responsibility. In my experience, both service and civilian, the more comfortable a doc is with you, the more you can do under his wing. When I was a corpsman in the Marines (DD214) I sutured and performed minor surgery because the docs knew I knew how.

Yes, Nioxin is a 3 part system with shampoo, conditioner and treatment. They make different types for different types of hair. Since using it I have experienced 'zero' hair loss. It took one week before I noticed the results. It is also supposed to thicken the appearance of your hair. It can be quite expensive so shop around. I purchase mine at Ross Dept Stores for less than half the price ($19.99) it normally retails for ($50).
