So long story short . Been using fin for 10 years, had no sides that can be spotted, but after years of use my life came to a point where i start to had episodes of depression, which led me to use of prozac . Another thing is a brain fog. Not sure when it started since its not just hit you at once, but over time my life become just trash : lack of energy, no motivation, i have memory problems and so on. Basically you dont live a full life, started to feel myself like im an empty shell with no soul .. So i dropped it like half a year ago. ATM its hard to say if im becoming who i was before fin , but i hope that it will happen . Just a thought for everyone who is using it , those sides didnt hit me in one day, there were creeping little by little over the years .
If some of you have questions, feel free. I will do my best to answer

just a quick update on how things are. Earlier i complain that i lost a bunch of native hair and blamed myself of stoping using minoxidil, well i didnt start and hair grew back so i guess that was some seasonal shedding ? I attach close ups of my hair line. basicly thats most important thing. Transplanter hair dont shed much , atleast i do not notice. Also i have a bunch of thin native hair that grew back...

just a quick update on my situation. Like a year ago i stopped minoxidil 5% because i couldt really apply it on my skin anymore, and it was too much hustle ,since i had so much hair ( lol) . So i thought its just useless. Well guess what, i shedded like a motherfucker all year. I think it was all that tiny hair that never develop into thick one. so i lost them all. And now i go back on minoxidil. Moral of the story: Dont stop using fin and minox

Did Dr Demirsoy tell you how many more grafts you may have in your donor for any possible future procedure? Do you think you could get another done and not thin out your back and sides?
I dont know how many grafts i have left. J think i can do one more op to fix vertex

i use finasteride for 5 years now. Now im thinking to get off of it and see what will happen. The reason why i want to do that is because i feel that my state of mind is too depressive, even tho nothing bad happens in my life. It could be my age ( 36) but i just tired of life and cant enjoy it anymore. Hard to tell what cause such way of feeling , Let you know later how it goes.

shampoo dont do anything. Its marketing bs. finasteride and minoxidil. Thats it

That's without taking into account the already existing hairs right, and that most of the grafts are placed at the hairline and the frontal zone.
yes. Just wait a year and evaluate and go from there.

well lets do the math. Average density 80-120 hair per cm2. You have approximatly 100 cm2 covered with 3000 grafts thats 30 per cm2. Lets say survival rate at best :90 %, thats 27 grafts per cm2.. So for "close to normal" density you will need to do the same 3000 transplantation one more time. Thats more ot less

You had amazing results, hope I can have something similar. I know I have to have patience but in general what do you think of my post-op density ?
its normal. Also since you almost dont have vertex hairloss you will have a good result at the end. Plus you have a lot of grafts to go for a second operation if you would like more density. Just wait a year and go from there
added: i also want to add that i think its not good to impant grafts very dense in one operation, i think it drops survival rate. If you want big density its better to split into 2-3.. etc operations.

i had 2 ops with this doctor. You can check my thread. Only thing that i can advise is just stop thinking about it. Its done. Just wait a year or so .

i dont know how many grafts i have. But whatever it is , its not much and i saved it for later. I was thinking about it, and thats why i went with only 1800 grafts last operation.

What a terrific result!! Amazing density.
well, density is nothing special. I have to keep hair long on top so it will look like that. I can make only certain hairstyles so they look good on me. Dont forget that i need to cover pretty big area with only 5,5k grafts. Also i need to keep donor area atleast 2 sm long so it will look OK. I need to compromise to look normal.

im norwood 5 , i think
on finasteride (1.25mg) ,minoxidil (5%) for 5 years
I had 2 operations with Dr.Erkan Demirsoy in Istanbul. 1st operation (3686 follicles) in front part/ mid part/ hairline. 2nd ~1800: in vertex (~1200) and hairline (~600)
i post pre 1 operation pics, and final result as of today . Later if you need i can post more pics ( post 1 operation, pre 2 operation, post 2 operation ). I had a ton of pics, just too lazy to edit them . Sry.

Wow. You had very rapid hairloss ,in 5 years to NW7 , thats quick.
Why you didn't start finasteride earlier ?
I see that you have a lot of body hair, and that is great because you will need all of it to fix your hairloss.
Good luck to you, i was nw5 myself.

Only if you can collect good amount of body hair grafts. You can get ~4K grafts from the head max.. Rest should be body hair
I stopped Finasteride after 10 years in a hope to become a normal person

A quick update on my case. I read a lot of msges here that its not related etc. Well im off the fin since Apr. 2023. I dont use any medication atm and i can confirm that my overall state improved. Much less foggy , more motivated. Overall mood is better too. Additional thing is that my semen became thicker. When i was on fin it was kinda watery. Downside : i shed a bit, so my hair is not that thick anymore, but its manageable. Happy New Year everyone !
