  1. Matt is not good. He is down right phenomenal. No disrespect to the company he was working for previously but one of the reasons why I chose HeadStrongNY is Matt will be one who will be doing my treatments from start to finish. That was a deal breaker for me when I started reading about how clients would have one person for one session, and then one person for another session. I put it in perspective, if you got a large tattoo that required multiple sessions, would you want a different artist to work on it each time? I certainly wouldn't. The other company may have well trained people, however I would opt for being consistent each time, that to me is bad practice. Each artist may have a different way of doing things, things that are important such as how heavy handed they are, etc. which subsequently make alter the clients final result. Through all my research on SMP, the one name that kept coming up was Matt's, and I was fortunate enough to 1) have a consult with him personally 2) watch him in action as he performed a procedure and 3) meet the owner of the company. These little things edged me to pull the trigger, and I am the type of person that investigates and nitpicks. But for anyone looking for Matt Iulo, he is now the co-founder and senior specialist at HeadStrongNY. You can google their website, call them and talk to them. Communication was key in making my decision to have this done with this company, and I am only two days out of my first session.
  2. I had my first session at HeadstrongNY. They are located in Manhattan and my experience was very positive as I am looking forward to my second session. They have one practicioner who I feel is one of the top (3) in the world. His name is Matt Iulo, a former marketing executive and head practicioner with HIS.
  3. Hey everyone, I am new to the forum. As a long time researcher of Scalp Micropigmentation, I took the plunge and had my first session yesterday in New York City. I researched it, read about it, met people who had it, and decided that after my consultation that this would benefit my life tremendously. I have been looking in the mirror constantly as the first session is the framework for sessions 2 and 3 where density and other aspects are achieved. Overall, the redness has subsided and I think I look a hell of a lot better then I did with that dreaded horse shoe.
