Hello all currently at a norwood 6 status age 35 now.
Was losing my hair since the age of 20 shaved it off a while ago.
Tried propecia and fin years ago they did not work at all for me but caused many horrible sides that forced me stop it and never even consider using it again. I tried rogaine it helped the crown slow down but did not stop or regrow hair.
I think my hair loss now at norwood 6 is now the max loss from what I can tell. Been about this in size and scope for about 4 years now.
I am currently debating now on having one last attempt to do something or just keep shaving my head for the rest of my life.
I have better funds now in my career and have had them for a while now. I think now might be the time when its possible to have a few hair transplant surgeries. I know at this stage (norwood 6) I would require at least 2 surgeries.
I have visited 6 doctors and have been quoted prices and estimates, and have been reading this forum and another for over 8 years so I have done my due diligence.
I am only interested in the FUE procedures not the strip at all in case I need or choose to go back to the shaved bald look( razor shaved).
Just some questions left to be answered if possible by the forum members who I have following for many years now.
If I go this route a get an FUE procedure
1) Post surgery is 6 months the bare minimum that I have to stay out of the sun or is it longer?
2) Can I shave my head with a razor or clippers about 1 month post-surgery and again from that point on whole head?
3) The biggest question here I have, how worried should I be about my new hair falling out that was taken from my safe zones since there will be no drug use to help with hair loss. Is this very possibly or likely, any links to deny or conform this?
4) What is usually the maximum hair one can receive generally speaking from donor sites?
5) Body hair used to fill in how worthwhile has it been in conjunction with normal procedures?
6) And if its not done to what my expectations are and I choose to go back to the shaved bald look. How visible are Fue scars on a fairly tan person.
Thank you all in advance for your words of wisdom
