  1. I am 1 month post op and I should have started propecia/finastride after my HT as advised by my doc but have not done yet primarily due to side effects which have been mentioned in forums and websites. Loss of libido, mood swings (I already have those), and gynecomastia sounds scary. Now the question do I absolutely have to take these for optimal results, there seems to be mixed opinion on that. Why do we need propecia after HT, anyone not taken and achieved good results? please advise Thanks
  2. Thanks for your response, at present I am able to examine the scabs with hair attached coming out from very front of the hairline when i gently touch it and that is how I am able to determine they are double hair grafts. They are pretty visible without help of microscope or magnifying glass. I went to a clinic which is talked about frequently in this forum with mostly positive reviews so maybe the end result might be fine. In your case what was the percentage of doubles vs singles that were implanted in the hairline? Are they a concern if hair is combed forward (with hairline possibly hidden?
  3. Most grafts have not shed, I am about 10 days post op. The original doctor is not in same town as I am so will first go to the nearest doc whom I have consulted before, I feel he should be able to tell if they are doubles.
  4. Hi, I am going to get a second opinion from another doctor at a hair transplant clinic today/tomm to confirm what I see and then will possibly post the name etc.
  5. The doctor did not place the grafts, his technicians did the implantation. There were various other things which I did not particularly like about the whole experience with this surgeon but they may not be as concerning as the hairline issue. Any other folks want to share their comments etc. on the double grafts in the hairline?
  6. Hi, it is on front edge of the hairline; How I am certain- While implanting they have actually implanted a few (about 7-8 grafts) even ahead (but quite close) of the front of hairline in the forehead and about 4-5 of them are doubles. This does not seem to be an attempt to create an irregular hairline but actual mistake by the implant person, since they are very few it does not matter much but they are doubles for sure. In the front of the hairline however there seem to several doubles. Thanks
  7. Hello All, This forum has been extremely helpful to me, I want to thank the moderators and posters. Now I recently got my HT done from a fairly respected surgeon and at about 10 days post op when I touching the scabs gently at forehead/start of hairline a few came out (as expected) what concerned me was doubles (hair) in most of the scabs. Looking very closely at hairline my wife could see several doubles right at the front of hairline. Is this normal because from what I have read they should have implanted singles in the front to avoid the pluggy look. Also, the surgeon did not demarcate the area where singles/doubles and multiples were to be inserted prior to implantation. I am quite concerned about this, please provide your inputs regarding doubles in the hairline Thanks
