  1. You are using Lorenzo as a model of a "tech-free" procedure, however that is not something that even he advocates. Point is, an ideal setup may well be somewhere in between "tech driven procedure" and "surgeon does everything".

Just courious, what percentage and who should do what in your high opinion?

always as a perspective patient of course?:roll eyes:

Point is, it's just you being pointless.

  2. I agree regards tech involvement , are you certain of how much techs do for lorenzo ? As I've not been able to find any confirmation , I've read a lot about erdogans use of technicians and the fact he runs 3 or 4 surgeries in parallel and only calls into check on progress every so often ?

Have you ever considered to ask to patients who actually had an ht, with one of the mentioned Docs? the trend on here it's becoming beyond ridiculous.

  3. mikeey,

look that the literature about a lot of surgeon is not up to date, i don't know how much fairly, but fact is that you should ask to actual patients. Not the fandom, otherwise you're research are useless. Too often i see people giving advice without knowing anything about the doctors they recommend or not. Remember it's your money, but more important your follicles.

Oh and by the way, i like your attitude toward certain people ;)

  4. Matt

basically the better choice is to go with the "team" with more experience. Because every doctor uses techs for extraction, and Feriduni, i.e., has always shown and praised publicly his team, made with people that work with him from a long time.

Lorenzo is still to determine how long experienced are his techs, since he used to do the work all by himself, as stated on his website. But things are changed because i was handled by techs. On this doc ask me everything you need, i'll be glad to help.

Bisanga i don't know much about his protocol, i like him of course, but maybe his patients would be the definitive source for facts.

  5. Actual patients of any of the three are obviously better equipped to give advice but why should this thread end up in a slagging match?

All three are excellent and we all have our own preference and for Busa (who I have disagreed constantly) to be accused of being a shill is laughable.

    He's not plain and simple.

Lateatnight betterlate is perfectly entitled to his opinions whether they are right or wrong.

    Let's get back on topic.

Matt I presume you have been looking and comparing photos from all three and if you short listed these three I presume you have also discounted lots of other good fue docs.

I think its going to come down to your gut instinct that has been determined by your research.

Any of them and your in good hands.

    Have a good weekend all

Matt asked a question, any other consideration is off topic including your constant tendency to advocate o justify incorrect behavior. Let patient talk and let's future patient be informed properly. You're OT too.

    Have a good day.

  6. BetterLate seriously??????

All those words to rub busa shoulder(...). You're definitely OT. And out of place!

Matt is looking for solid fact, and once again a bunch of trolls came in to poison the thread. Have you guys any respect for people that are genuinely looking for a solution?

Hairweare, Pma, london81 and myself, are patients of some of the doctors named by Matt. We are entitled to talk. The others, i don't know on which base are they talking since they have never had experience with the mentioned docs.

  7. I would also trust that Dr. Vila is well qualified to perform extractions but I have doubts that all techs have equal experience and abilities. I agree that prospective patients should be informed as to whom will be performing the extractions before the deposit is requested and that the web page clearly needs to be amended to reflect this significant change in the clinics's philosophy and practice.

Let's say that after i was given three names, i paid the deposit, then none of them performed the extraction.

I was just eager to know if there was some particular way to get the best service. Kudos to Kikiss, now i will stop hijacking the thread.

  8. Hi Bill,

I had my surgery 3 weeks ago with Dr Koray Erdogan, and he suggested to start using a clipper 5 months post op, and until than i should cut my hair only with scissors.

You have a lot of experience and from my logic, it seems normal to start using a clipper again after one month post op. can you please tell me your opinion from your experience?

    Thanks,

My post op sheet says almost the same thing, after 5 months, for the recipient, for the donor you can go. Hope it helps!

  9. Be honest, I thought Dr Lorenzo would do all extraction for me on the day of surgery. I was not informed and also not knowing Vila would be doing the 2nd 1000 before, until the last minute when Dr Lorenzo finished the first 1000 extraction.

I don't want to comment too much on this as everything had been done; nothing can be changed. Besides, Dr Lorenzo trusts Vila very much, and I trust Dr Lorenzo. So just let's see the result in next few months.

Not interested in comments, just wanted to know what i asked, because you've got a PREMIUM service.

  10. I see you're still banging on about Dr M's technicians. Is he your uncle or something?

No one would go to a technician led clinic out of choice except for financial reasons. Who would do a better job: 1)Dr L, bringing his 20 years experience giving full time and attention over 2 days, and paid $20,000 dollars to extract 3000 grafts meticulously minimising transection, or... 2)Dr M's technicians, 1 year experience and paid $2,000 to extract 3000 grafts in 3 hours?

Let us know when you figure it out as 99% of the forum already have:).

The technicians are just interested in getting 4000 viable grafts that aren't damaged. They have no incentive to work carefully and preserve as much donor as possible for later use. It is not their name on the clinic's door and if it goes bust they can go off and get another job elsewhere.

They will always have some 'hits' where it all comes together and results in a decent outcome, but even then it is hard to know what damage they did to the donor.

If you don't care about the above issues then best of luck with your $2,000 HT.

Personally I wouldn't have a HT there if it was free and they paid me $20,000!!

    I agree with you.

But reality is that you pay 20000 bucks and get extraction by two techs with one or two year experience the most skilled and the other one, three days or so.
