So i just wanted to update everyone on this post. I had the Surgery on Sept 15th 2017 with Dr Bloxham. I couldnt be any more thrilled with him and his staff, everything went exceptional and communication was as good as can be. My original pics are in the first post of this thread, the pictures im uploading here are at 5.5 months in (although my hair pretty much looked like this at 4 months as well. This was an FUT i think 1400 crown 1400 hairline if im not mistaken. Any questions let me know

Lol I hear you there. Yes both. Dr Bloxham is estimating close to 1500 the hairline and 1500 more placed strategically in the crown

Ill try to keep up to date with this thread as much as i can. Ive had crown loss for a few years but it never bothered me to the point of a transplant...but now that i see my hairline going i figured it was time. It bothers me more than anything. We've been consulting over email for months. Between our correspondence and the contributions and videos hes made here i feel this is the right decision My only issue and worry is the hairline loss especially in the front seems like its progressing by the week, its definitely not stabilized, but i know ill probably have more than 1 surgery anyway. Pics are attached, dont laugh at my tail, havent had a haircut in 2 weeks Age: 34 in June Father Norwood 6/7 Finasteride for 2-3 years. (1.5 proscar) Obviously the way i style my hair i can mask most of the hairline (for now)

Yeah same, but i was told brand name might help because of the way the active ingredients are. im gonna try to call again tomorrow, i want 100% of the effect if i can get it

im taking generic 5mg finasteride (proscar), yeah its like 9 bucks for 90 pills with insurance. now today i got merck sent to the pharmacy and they called and said 75 for 30 pills and it wasnt even merck it was generic propecia 1mg

IVe been cutting 5mg generic proscar into 1.25 for years but i was advised by a couple people to take the real merck propecia 1mg instead. I went to the dermo and they sent it to my pharmacy and it was $75 for 1 month and it wasnt even merck it was accord pharmacies?? What should i do? I was paying 5 bucks for the 5mg finasteride so im not going to pay 75 for another generic 1mg Thanks

Wow. Heap of information there... I figured same active ingredient is the same thing... I'll call Dermo tomorrow to have the med changed to brand name Propecia..... As for the hairline.. It's definitely taking some kind of hit but I agree the crown is worse.... Thanks for all the great information and comments

Oh absolutely, i will address both the first time, i was just saying the crown is what made me take this route thanks for the advice!

thanks a lot, the main purpose of why i started this journey is because of the crown, i can deal with the hairline (for now) since i can mask some of it with my other hair

thanks for all the info, i was going to travel but it seems like its going to cost me between 9-13k regardless unless i go overseas

Id like to get this done in the NJ, PA, NYC area im 33 and been taking generic proscar finasteride for a few years 5mg split into 1.25 pics are attached Ive spoken to Dorin he says 1600 FUE then back again for more down the road Same with Dr Frank, same with Dr Feinberg. Dr Feller and Bloxham say 3000 FUT between crown and hairline and back for more grafts for future surgeries So confused on what to do lol

im going in for a consult next week, i have around 1600 grafts needed, half in hairline half in crown....I know hes featured on here but i cant find any direct experiences Thanks

looks like ill continue my search to find someone, cant believe no recommended docs in philly

Thanks for the response I mean i live 30mins from philly and 50mins from NYC so it cant be that hard to find someone, i just heard good things about this guy This guy had good reviews and was 20minutes away so i gave it a shot i guess if they use yearly discount events and call it neograft its no good?

33 years old, noticed loss at 29..Been on finasteride 1mg for 4 years, hair loss has slowed down a lot but i figured im ready to take the plunge, i went to dr hamawy in princeton nj and i got the price of $9350 WITH PRP included for a 1500 graft FUE (some on crown and some on hairline in front, PRP would take care of the thinness). He said i might not need 1500 total but that was his guess, any other docs closeby with a cheaper price? I feel like 9500 is a lot for my loss... thanks for any input on this ive attached pics of my hair and his estimate
