  1. Hi everyone, I'm currently 13 days post op from my procedure with Dr.Feller (2148 grafts frontal 1/3) - So far all seems to be going well. I do have a several questions though and I hope someone with knowledge/experience could shed some light for me. 1) I have been using Dualgen 15 with PG for the past two years. I stopped approximately 1.5 weeks prior to my surgery. Since I am currently healed (no scabs/redness on scalp) Should I continue to use Dualgen 15 with PG on the recipent area? Will my newly transplanted hairs become "minoxidil dependant?" I have heard/read mixed theories on this subject snd am confused as to what I should do :-/ 2) I get my staples out tomorrow and want to buzz down the rest of my hair to match the recipent area. I should be safe to do so correct? If so, can snyone recommend a blade setting? 3) I am still currently using baby shampoo snd being very meticulous with the washing of my scalp. Is it safe to switch back to my normal shampoo Regenepure yet? I apologize for the noob questions and yes I do have post op instructions. They just seemed to be somewhat vague and I value the opinions of what the forum members have to say. Thank you guys very much!
  2. Thanks irishsailor! Fingers are crossed bro! During my initial consultation (online), Dr. Feller had said that I may need 2000-25000 grafts, which is exactly what I had expected. Upon arrival and after inspection of my donor area, he had stated that I may need approximately 2500-2750 grafts, which I was totally fine with. Thing is, after Dr. Feller had harvested the strip, he noticed that there was a lot of seperation between the grafts. Although there was a lot of seperation between the grafts, the majority of the grafts harvested contained 3-4 hairs. Which is why Dr. Feller was able to provide enough density with fewer grafts. He seemed to be pretty excited about my case. Hopefully he will chime in soon. All the best guys!
  3. Thanks guys! I appreciate the kind words/encouragement! I know it's going to be a long journey, but I'm sure it will be worth it in the end. I'm still a bit concerned about how I'm going to conceal the transplant. I've always had long hair and assume that I'm going to have to just buzz it all off after I get my staples removed. God, I haven't had a buzz cut since I was like 8 years old! This is going to suck! Lol - Tommy - How many grafts were implanted for your surgery with Dr. Feller? Also, when did you first start to see growth? I know it's going to take at least 4-6 months (HOPEFULLY) to see growth, but I'm just curious as to how your growth phase went. Do you have any pics? Thanks in advance!
  4. Thanks Future_HT_Doc! I have my fingers crossed and hope that all turns out well! Also, I would definitely appreciate it if you could help me add some larger images. Thanks again!
  5. Hello everyone! First time poster, long time lurker. I'll try to keep this as short as possible. First a little background info ... I first started to notice my hair thinning in my early twenties. I naturally began to panic and I, like an idiot, jumped the gun and booked a procedure with Bosley. Needless to say, the whole Bosley experience was horrible and the results weren't up to par with what I was expecting. I think I had around 1200 grafts done at the time. Shame on me, I should have done research, but hey - I was like 20 years old at the time and I, like many others were sold on the Bosley BS ... Moving forward Well, it's now 10 years later and after much research, I decided to have another procedure done. I went with Dr.Feller and I must say, the experience between Bosley and Dr.Fellers' office was night and day. Dr.Feller is a stand up guy with some good bedside humor. He and his staff made me feel at ease from the second I walked into the clinic. I had 2148 grafts placed along the frontal 1/3 of my head. It has now been 4 days post op, hardly any swelling or pain. I have attached some pre-op as well as post op photos. I plan to update my progress on a monthly basis. Hopefully all works out and thank you guys for reading. P.S. - I'm not much of a writer lol. My apologies
