  1. Hi there. If you have decided upon a hair transplant, my recommendation is to do 2500 grafts to the front, with a high hairline design (almost unchanged hairline level), preferably FUT to keep more grafts for the future. Regards.
  2. I see a different story with these kind of patients. Patients who are Norwood 5 or more should start with a strip. Infact almost everyone should start with a strip. Each donor area has a potential for 2 strips and 2 good FUE sessions, but only if you start with a strip. If you start with 2 FUE sessions you don't have much left. In my experience, starting with FUE sacrifices atleast 30% of total graft potential which is just unacceptable for most cases. FUE surgeons can not achieve results of strip surgeons. Surgeons who can do both have a great advantage. A combined procedure of strip+FUE for 5000+ grafts would have given a much more robust result. Don't forget that in a 4000 graft FUE operation you can hardly get more than 8000-8500 hairs whereas a combined procedure for more than 5000 grafts would probably give about 12000 hairs. The combined proedure can even be repeated the following year.
  3. Dear Steve, Don't have surgery done by the robot, choose a skilled surgeon. Either don't have a transplant and use finasteride or have 2000-2200 grafts. If you decide to have the transplant FUT shoud theoreticaly be prefered to preserve more graft potential for the future since you are sure to need more.
