  1. Thursday, I undertook my last HT procedure with Dr. Keene. The object was to get a natural hairline and fill in around my old plugs. Everything went as planned, I followed the pre-op directions to the letter. At first I thought that 1500 graphs was all that my donor would allow. To my surprise, she was able to get over 2000+, thus she was able to go farther back on my head then what I was expecting, this was a very pleasant surprise! Dr. Keene and her staff were to say the least professional in every way. She did every aspect of the operation from the harvesting, to cutting the slits, and placing the graphs and was there during the entire surgery. The biggest pain in the a_ _ of the entire procedure was the numbing of my head ( I'm a coward around needles) . Anyway, the operation lasted for over 10 hours, then I received the post-op instructions, which I also plan to follow to the letter. I can only say that I know I choose the right Doctor for the job- Bonzo

  3. RTC,

It takes awhile to upload from that site, but your on your way to looking 10+ years younger. I know you'll post everything here next week, but I have one question. Since I'm going to "the chair" in 4 days, What if any butterfly's did you have. I must admit when I think of needles, and blood, my stomach starts spinning like a top! Anyway-Congrats- Bonzo

  5. Hairbethere,

You really struck a nerve with this little guys ego (paperback). Do you really bark in back of the fence line? As for going to the California Attorney Generals Office, good luck!, that's why this guy gets away with this Bull Shit, he knows he's protected by government in ineptness to stop his immoral practices-bonzo

  7. Secret,

I agree, please tell us who did your first procedure. Perhaps this doctor or clinic has changed their pre-op, and post-op care practices. In either case, this information you posted is very important to prospective clients-Bonzo

  8. To Robert,

I was wondering if a separate topic area could be added to the main page to include past transplant patients going through a new restorative procedure. It appears that there are a number of us that would fall into this category. This would also provide a historical area for new members and guest to get a prospective on what used to be the norm as compared to today's newer advancements-Bonzo

  10. John Se,

I'm extremely pleased to hear about that your procedure went so well. In two months, all of the graphs are already in growing, that's wonderful! You must be a very fast healer. So the phase that pays is to tell Dr. Keene, " plant all that you can get". I'll certainly remember this slogan in March. Are you planning to post any photo's? I can understand both sides of this issue and decision whether to post or not. I'm planning on posting photos, after all I have nothing to lose since I've lived with plugs for so long now; I won't know how to react with a natural looking hairline again, the first thing that's going in the trash is my collection of hats. And trust me on this one, I'm going to show this new master piece of art off as often as possible to everyone who looks at me!

    Telephone Man,

Thank you, the consultation went very well, I've read about the procedure to remove the original graphs, then break them down and re- transplant them, ( I think it was a posting from Arfy?). But in my case, the plugs are less noticeable and more natural( if you will), then the older round ones were. Dr. Keene said that she will focus on a new hairline in front of the original plugs, then camouflage the old ones with 2-4. I'm entrusting my last procedure that my donor area will allow on a one shot operation, Believe me, your last statement "good luck" means alot to me-Bonzo

  11. Emerald,

Please, let me sit back in my seat now, to whom are you entrusting this most important decision to( that is if you don't mind disclosing this at this time). Your completely right about that nagging feeling that you always have or assume you'll get, when someone is going to make that a dreaded comment to you with a full head of hair. I congratulate your stead fastness in doing something about your situation. I still can't speak from experience about a new procedure, but with the advancements in this field, I think that you can rest assured your in your decision. Bonzo

  12. HairBeThere,

I must admit that prior to my consultation, I had the same reservations regarding Finasteride (Propecia). Not just because of the possible side effects, but rather I'm a natural herb kind of guy. During the consultation, I was asked if I was interested in going on Propecia. My original thought was; if it is prescribed by a doctor, then it must be man made thus instant reservations came into my mind. After both Gail, and Dr. Keene described the possible side effects, and the study relating to the subjects tested, age, etc. It became apparent to me that this medication in the dose that you take it in 1.25mm, would not be detrimental to my health. After all, for an enlarged prostrate issue, you are prescribed 5mm. Dr. Keene made it perfectly clear to me that she has no ties nor gets any kind of kick back from the manufacture of Propecia. After swallowing my natural herb pride, I agreed to the prescription. I've taken the medication for two weeks now, and it is way to early to tell of any hair replenishment is taken place. But as far as any of the published side effects goes, everything is operating as efficiently as it ever has- Bonzo

  13. In looking at the Procede website, it appears that the only thing the company states is that the product will do the following:

ProCede's revolutionary formula creates the appearance of a healthy, thicker, fuller hair shaft after only one application.

The exclusive, one-of-a-kind formula increases the diameter of thinning hair.

This intense cleansing action and stimulation reduces toxins harmful to the maintenance of healthy hair.

The results can become evident in as little as 48 hours - a fuller, stronger, thicker looking head of hair after just one application!

Then, when you go to the before and after pictures, Juan Ramirez (second photo down), has a widow hairline in the first photo, then a youth hairline in the after photo? The forth picture down is clearly two different man (look at the left ear, and the structure of the two different necks closely). Judging by the claims and photo's, I'd say that this was just another scam to lure innocent people to buy a useless concoction. This is just my thought though-Bonzo

  14. Gillenator,

I'm truly lucky for my results after dealing with the puig clinic. I know that Arfy has suffered for too long with the dr's. supposed talent. My surgeon was not dr. puig, which I'm truly fortunate for. He did a nice job on the donor scar, and my plugs are even with my skin, no indented, or raised ones. The colorations of my skin around the plugs are even toned with the rest of my scalp. In the technique that he used, the plugs are elongated, and not the traditional round ones. Each plug has between 7-10 hairs and I've never lost any of them. I thought of the idea of having some of the individual hairs extracted from the plugs, but since Dr. Keene is going to start 1cc in front of them with single hairs, then use 2-4 Fu's around the original plugs, I feel confident that the old ones will blend into the new hairline. I've been debating for along time now on whether to post photos of my original transplants that I've looked at in the mirror for the last 10+ years. So here it goes, sorry that they're a little fuzzy- Bonzo.
