  1. Thanks for the comment FUE2014. I actually really like my hair short and wish that I'd never done the FUT in the first place. But I can't change the past. I didn't know that there was a surgery to cover the FUT scar. Guess I'll look into that. What can you tell me about it?
  2. Thanks for the comments so far. So here are some pics of my 40 y/o noggin. You can see that I've cut my hair quite short. I leave it just long enough in the back to cover the FUT scar. I have another scar (visible/vertical) that is from a bike accident I had as a kid. I cut my hair short as it was beginning to look ridiculously thin up top and I wanted to avoid the "comb-over" look at all costs. I have a long, big head with a lot of real estate to cover. The front of the forehead was looking particularly ridiculous with the transplants I'd had done back in 2004, so I've actually been plucking those out. I know, may sound crazy, but if you look at my head from the side, you'll see how strange it would look with that extra 1" of stubble trailing down the front. I really like my hair short. I'd shave my head if I could, but of course that's not an option now with my FUT scar. So I'm left with the dilemma of keeping things as they are or going for a second surgery. Thoughts?
  3. Hello! Thank you for this site. I had hair transplant (FUT) surgery in 2004 when I lived in the Los Angeles area. I had 1,900 grafts done. I was 31 y/o at the time. Despite my usage of Propecia, my hair has continued to recede. I'm now considering a second surgery. My FUT scar is very thin and only visible if I cut my hair really short. I'm here for support and suggestions. FUE is all the rage it seems. I'm wondering if I should go that route or do another FUT. I currently live in the state of Maryland.
