  1. Well i must felicatate your approach as not to bring Dr Hakan into a negative view given your situation. Forums are too easy to voice negative views once behind the comfort of the keyboard

I have high hopes from this great Doctor and will follow your and hopefully post my good results

I think aesthetically demanding people push each other to improve and bring one another up rather than destroy with negativity. That is counter-productive. I wish you the result you desire from Dr. Hakan and enjoy your investment months from now.

  2. CS88 Do you still consider Dr Hakan with high regards as im to have surgery and im at a loss as to why you did not get what you required. Did it get lost in translation etc.

I guess as youre going back to him you must trust his skills.

Good luck for your next surgery

voipman…That was the same question I had as well. From the initial online consult the request was to fill in the crown and touch up the temples with estimates from numerous doctors at 2500 to 3500 grafts. I chose Dr Hakan wisely due to the initial communication, prior results and skill level. The decision was made apparently during the procedure to balance out the grafts to create a more natural appearance and even density, I guess thinking that the hair at upper area of crown may fall over the thin crown to conceal some of it. Maybe, if I wear my hair long but not with a shorter cut. No grafts were added to the lower portion of the crown. Regardless, I was puzzled. So perhaps it did get lost in translation, who knows, as we are all human. I still do have high regards in his skills and hope I can have a result one can be proud of.

*I wonder if many hair doctors use a PowerPoint type presentation as in dentistry with a template that would show the before and end result of the work to be done on the patient?

  3. I wish you all the very best CS88. I do have to agree, I would not be particularly impressed about them forgoing to implant into an area that was requested prior to surgery... Good to hear the Doctor is giving you full attention now but you should have gotten that from the very beginning. Every patient should be given full attention to on the day of their surgery.

I appreciate that Mickey85. Trust me, I would not voice my opinion here if it was not for the good of anyone seeking top quality care. That was my frustration in thinking…did I miss in communicating something here? I did not want to be sold on something or accept less than what is asked for. The Doctor has a good reputation and what matters is how one handles a particular situation. Just unfortunate I have to fly back to Turkey so soon…that's life.

  4. i hope everything works out good for you at the end, you'll know in a few months if it gives you the coverage you are looking for

I appreciate that, thanks. It was decided I go back to Turkey to have that corrected and will leave shortly. Better to do it quick as it can still be done at this stage than wait another six months. The Dr. was very accommodating and willing to take care of it.

  5. @ FUE2014. My request from the start was to fill in the crown. Some work was done on the strip scar as well. After surgery it was tough to see exactly how low the area of the crown (vertex)was filled in but apparently it was not. I will have to wait now after growth to see how it all fills in but based on the post op photo it will require another surgery of which I am not very excited about. My goal was to have accomplished my goal this time around based on the estimated 3500 grafts. The Dr. is working on this with me presently and has been responsive to my concerns.

  6. Yes, I said good doctor, but there is huge difference from great, right. Myself previously being in dentistry can attest to that with my experience for demand in aesthetics. Since I had a previous FUT done I somewhat knew what to expect. I wanted to correct what was done previously via FUT therefore decided on FUE after researching numerous dr.'s worldwide. Nothing has changed btw. I have been waiting to see how they would answer some of my concerns from what we had agreed upon prior to the surgery in placement of the graft locations and now I am not quite satisfied with what I have been told. I just received that response from them yesterday. I will wait patiently now to get Dr. Hakans thorough explanation and reasoning.

  7. I just had over 3400 grafts performed by Dr. Hakan a little over a week ago. You should have no worry to wire the funds as I had concern as well but it went well. Good doctor, good staff, good accommodations…better than anything in the US, for sure.

    Hi Bradford,

I emailed the clinic regarding my concerns. They explained that having an account in the company's name would also add an 8% charge, so they set up an account under the Foreign coordinators name - Ahmet Karpuz.

I'm sure it should be absolutely fine, but would also be interested if anyone else has done the same.

    Regards,

    BFA
