  1. For those of you who has been following my case i would like to announce that my concerncs with my physician has now been resolved. If I look past my unfortunate situation, I do think to this date that the doctor is a highly skilled surgeon who wants the best for his patients. I would also like to say that I feel like he has answered all my messages in a positive and professional manner from the day I sent him the first email, until today and that I bare no grudge to anyone. I would also like to say, if I haven't said it before, I think he is a very pleasant person both honest and sincere. I am now satisfied and happy with the offer my physician has suggested to me.
  2. Btw, do anyone know how you send a private message. When i try i just get transferred into my homepage, or back to my profile? Very odd.
  3. Yep, that was some crazy days. Im not sold on anyone. Im going to wait a little bit, and sit down and evaluate what to do. I have learnt so much during these 2-3 weeks as a member
  4. Not to obscure the main topic, but who do you follow? Arsenal here bud
  5. The thing is, every week, some dude score a fly goal. Suarez scores 2-3 sweet goals every week. I dont care if some surgeon has a couple of lucky shots. I want to be 100% sure the surgeons has a awesomely awesme hit rate. When someone tell me...i have never done something in my whole life..i respect the honesty, but i take a deep breath, and scream, gooooooooooodbyeeeeeee (radha). Talk to you in 8-9 years. Its insane that they even tell you they are able to perform the surgery at all. But hey, some time got the be the first, just not me.
  6. I have been in contact with Radha. I asked her how many black patients she have seen, where she replied she had performed few. I followed up, asking, but how many? How many exactly. 30, 50, 1000? "Frankly speaking, I have done for Afro Americans but not for pure African descendants" "I assisted one surgery on a black patient during my Fellowship training at Bangkok." Comparing her to Dr.diep performing HT on black patients right now appears like night and day, or comparing the world class attacker Suarez to a random premier league player. Respect the honesty though.
  7. Hope youre well Tuja! If your result will end up poorly, your not the only one.
  8. Thats sounds comforting. I will try to come in contact with Radha then. Ill guess blacks do differ a whole lot. Some africans have less curly hair. I know that i have an extreme curl, so that may be a potential risk with going to a young and upcoming surgeons who hasnt seen the different variations within blacks.
  9. Although i couldnt find Mwambas homepage, i found a very interesting interview with dr.Mwamba with the very catchy title; "unlimited hair for hair transplantation"
  10. Thanks to both Zedenka and Mask for the breakdown, very much appreciated. Regarding Dr.Path, i still in talk with him. I couldnt access Dr.Mwambas homepage, do anyone have the same issue as me? Also,I see that Dr.Radha is mentioned, she doesnt have any pictures on her page on the topic african-american, why is she discussed at all, same thing with Bhatti. On Bhattis page is just a complete blank page with nothing.
  11. Thanks for the support. I will let you know the outcome of the things discussed shortly.
  12. Thanks buddy. I thought that information was not possible for people to see, anyway youre right. I will talk to him about this. I dont know whats the point of lying is. Its not like im going to think oh well well..there goes my hair and money, and just leave it at that.
  13. Thanks for the update. I also talked to him for a couple of weeks ago, and i agree with everything you said. He seems to be knowledgeable about african hairs. He also talked to my about the differences within blacks which obviously is comforting. I didnt quite get your point with foxx and smith, what about those guys hairlines? I havent found the diep threads yet but i will keep on searching. It seems that if you are black and want a HT its maybe diep or fuck it. Maybe early to conclude but it seems so this far.
  14. It was a FUT. I dont think the surgeon would have mastered black hairs regardless of the operation. I went east instead of west. What was i thinking. Anyway. Youre still searching? I would love to see someone from this forum from diep, do you know anyone, or a thread? Ive seen his youtubes, but i would like to see peers from this forum as well.
  15. Greay thread guys. Im also black, and had a bad first HT. Im also searching for finding a new surgeon for my second HT. I have talked to Dr.Diep and he seems pretty decent. As far as i have understood theres a limited amount of hair surgeons that do operations on black hair. My surgeon for instance was recommended by this forum and he did blew it pretty good in my case (which is something i will come back later to in my thread). It should be a separate recommendation thingy for blacks.
  16. Since i already have underwent a strip and do have a scar im probably going to do another strip. Its cheaper as well. So, after i have talked to my surgeon on monday/tuesday im probably going to release who did my last surgery. The surgeon is recommended by this forum.
  17. Thanks man. I have talked to a couple of other surgeons, im talking with dr.diep tomorrow. Im pretty sure am not going with my same doctor. I didnt do enough research the first time thats true.
  18. Good advice. I have briefly talked with the doctor about the result during post-treatment. While I was concerned the whole time, he replied that the growth seen was normal. After 12 month, he said that he believed 60-70 % growth had occurred, but urges me to wait to 18 months. My opinion is that after 9 month the growth seen was approx 15% I dont know if he is used to patient that suddenly go from totally bald to thick hair within the last 2-3 months. Couple of weeks ago when i asked him what he believed to be the reason, he said that he believed that the reason why my hair didnt grow was possibly due to competition with the surrounding hair. But even places that were completely bald in the beginning like at the sides failed to grow without having any competing hair near by, so he doesnt make sense with this argument as far as i can see. But what do i know.
  19. Thanks for answering buddy! My hair is pretty dense curly and thick most places expect in the front, both temples and the sides. I have started to consult with other doctors to see whats out there. One thing i remember was odd during the operation is that the hairline that was made was kind of caucasian, shaped as an U. I dont know if that tells us anything about the experience level with that doctor handling black hairs, but other doctors like to mention this as a sales pitch on youtube videos and what not. I dont know if you can on this basis can argument that this is the main reason why the end result was so bad, but it sure isnt comforting.
  20. It wasnt Dr.diep. I never heard about him. I should probably ask him for advice.
  21. Again, thanks for replying folks, it really helps during this process. I have never tried that stuff out. My hope now is that there is a small prosentage of all procedures that goes to hell, and i unfortunately was the unlucky one this time around. You always here about good surgeons, but suddenly, some horrior stories comes up, why? Well..my thought would be..that all procedures doesnt go well. My line of thought for future treatment is to either go with my old surgeon and hope that for some reason i was the unlucky one in a statistic failure rate no one really governs over. Like chemotherapy fighting cancer. Or, find me another "world class" surgeon, that no one ever have heard has done any harm to their patient. Anyway,he has the integrity to redo a procedure for free, although he said judging by the picture i sent that he calculated 800 graft which isnt sufficient i believe, but ill guess that will be negotiable when he sees it upclose. The surgoen is actually recommended by this forum. Maybe there is a significantly difference operating on black contra Caucasians. I thought first that if youre good, youre good. Maybe i havent done my homework.
  22. Sure, thanks for the support. I would need to do exactly that. It is a concern that this doctor is very highly thought of, but couldn't reproduce hair at all. Its very hard to evaluate risks in this business as well. Doctors operate with the term, "low", but what does that really mean? 50%? 5% failure rate? God knows.
  23. Hello everyone. Im newbie on this forum and i thought i should post the pictures of the result of my 2000 grafts strip surgery performed by a pretty decorated physician. The idea was to fill in left and right temple and also lower the hairline maybe a cm. It has now gone 18 month and the result is insignificant. Almost as i never really underwent the surgery in the first place. And that has kind of being the attitude i have tried to hold on to in this period. I dont know if im going to go all blast and tell you straight away who it is, because of my own interest which is to maybe having the procedure redone ( the physician has luckily enough invited me back. So, now im finding myself in the position, doing it all again, whole freakin process for free, or maybe find another physician with a little help of you guys. PS.Let me know if you guys cant see the uploaded pictures for some reason.
