  1. 1 hour ago, Marco Van Basten said:

A reputable surgeon in the UK who is reasonably priced would do great. Especially with International travel restrictions etc

For example, is he as good as Bisanga?

If yes, I would rather drive 3 hours than fly to belgium lol

Highly unlikely to be good as Bisanga. Though I did see him working with Bisanga recently, think it was on Instagram.

  2. there was a 'clinic' i had never heard of featured on a popular channel 4 programme recently.

fuehairtransplantclinics.co.uk any idea what this is all about? is it a clinic or some sort of outsourcing thing. there appears to be no information about which surgeons are carrying out the procedure on the website, but i sort of figured if its being featured on a documentary then its trustworthy?

    sorry for bad english.

  3. Belgium is very easy and quick by train. I'm from the UK and went there and it was fine. Look into Feriduni and Bisanga in Belguim. If you really want to stay in UK I'd advise to do lots of research and especially on here. The only results I've seen in the UK that have impressed me have been from Dr Reddy. Just take your time and be sure because once it's done it's done. Make sure you pick the best person for you with a proven track record to look after those precious grafts. It's not worth a gamble. This site is excellent for reccomendations and I'd throughly reccomend Dr Feriduni or Dr Bisanga in Belguim. Just 2 hours train ride.

i am certainly going to look into that, belgium is achievable.

any idea how much the price difference would be on average to have the procedure in belgium compared to UK?

my friend actually had a breast enlargement job done in Belgium for considerably cheaper than here!

  4. Thanks for replies. I understand whats being said, the whole abroad thing seems very daunting. Like theres no way i would go all the way to india for a hair transplant as i suffer with anxiety aswell.

I have no idea how to search for doctors within the UK or any other place in europe for that matter.

When i google for reliable hair transplants and those recommended within the UK, it still comes up with Harley Street

  5. i went to my GP to get a recommendation for the best/most trusted place to get an FUE hair transplant for my frontal hairline.

sent me off and said he would call me the next day. when he called he said the only option really is 2 clinics and surgeons both on harley street, and both probably the most expensive in the UK i dont doubt :mad:

i know my friend booked himself in the private clinic there, and it would cost him ?10.000 and from what i could tell very little work had to be done (he cancelled in the end as he later had financial troubles)

im getting desperate now but literally have no idea where to turn, there are so many places offering the FUE but alot of them do seem extremely dodgy.

  6. Research mate , use this board and others . There's loads of approved Dr's on here around Europe and indeed the World . You really have to do your homework to make sure you don't go wrong , look at both patient reviews and clinics examples. Reach out to some of the trusted reps on here like Garageland and Spex before you rush into anything. By the way at 28 i wouldn't advise H/T without meds , i was your age first time around and after a year or two lost more ground .

you are right, though i am also confused by the whole issue of where the hair loss is inherited from? i always hear its the mothers line. if true that would make sense, as my grandfather had the same hairline as me all the way through to his 80s judging by the pictures of him.

my uncle is in his 50s and also appears to have the same hairline.

my brother also had the problem with the hairline when he was in his 20s. though he now has long flowing 'rockstar' hair, so its not noticeable at all, but it clearly has not gone back any further and he is in his 30s.

i dont know whether its wise to think i will follow the same pattern as them

  7. hi.

approximately 6 years ago, my hairline receded into nw2 (which is a guess) it may be nw3, im not sure, as its not THAT bad. but bad enough for me to be having issues.

anyway this was quite a rapid thing, almost as if one minute the hairline was there, and the next it was gone !

and for approx 5 years now it has just stayed the same, it has not gone back any further at all, and i actually get the impression my hair in general has got thicker! (or so my hair dresser tells me) this may be down to the caffeine shampoo (alpecin) i have been using for many years.

i am 28 now, and really getting fed up with the hair line. i tried propecia along with minoxidil 12% for 6 months and it make no difference at all, so i gave up with that rather than wasting more money. (this was from the belgravia centre in london)

i am wondering if FUE will be the answer to my prayers, and how much it matters which clinic you go to? as the quotes between clinics seem bizarre, for example one in harley street charges ?8.000 for a procedure which ''the hair transplant clinic'' Hair Transplant UK | FUE Hair London | Female Loss Treatments Clinic seems to charge around ?2.500 for.

  8. As I said in your other thread. the 12.5% minoxidil and propecia will help what you still have. If you have areas that are fully bald at the front it wont do much for them.

Likely your best course of action is the meds AND the transplant.

Belgravia are very overpriced, but I experimented and came off their stuff for 6 months and went with cheaper alternatives and my hair loss got a lot worse. Now after 2 months back on it my hair is very thick all over again.

I tried finpecia and 5% kirkland foam, but now back to Belgravia's propecia and 12.% cream with AA.

Maybe I just got a dud batch of finpecia or something, who knows. Not a risk I'm going to take again though!

Iv got 6 months of there minoxidil 12.5 for ?300.

I decided to just go for it, as I cannot afford a hair transplant at all at the moment.

Is the 300 overpriced do you think.

I don't see much to compare it with, where else does such a formula as the 12.5 with acid ?

  9. My hairline receded quite quickly about 4-5 years ago.

Thing is, the hair never receded any further.

I have hated it for so long and just want the hairline back, at least a bit.

I have been on propecia for four months, and want to buy some minoxidil 12.5% with azaelic acid from the Belgravia hair loss centre.

Is it worth it ? Are they over priced?

How much is follicle transplantation these days ? Are we talking more than 2000 pounds.

  10. I tried them for a while, probably about a year. Don't think they did anything at all as my hair progressively got quite bad until propecia and 12.5% minoxidil cream stepped in to save the hair. (Then a HT for the hair line, of course)

I think they are the same really as Procerin, just something to help the condition of your hair a bit.

Nourkin for women is meant to be very good so that's why I tried. Maybe it did help, I don't know. Not worth 50 quid a month though!

Did the 12% minoxidil not help the hairline ?

  11. What's the general opinion on the Nourkrin pills for hair loss ?

I normally would say anything herbal is a waste.

But these cost ?50 pounds per pack for one month !!

It makes me think surely there must be something about them which is effective ?
