Well it's been 11 months since the transplant! What can I say Dr Konior is a master! My hairline is so natural and dense that no one can tell. Have one more month for my complete 12 month anniversary. I can't say enough about the great work Dr. Konior preformed on me!

sorry growth

well, its been over a month now and not much grouth in the front hairline. It also seems that the right side of my head is sprouting better than the other. closer to the hair line seem to be moving along a lot better. also still have a pink tint in the transplated area. any advise??? cheers, Topsoil

17 days post op starting to "shed"

has anyone experienced redness and dry scalp from minoxidil foam. I devolved a large red burn type mark on my forehead where i was attempting to re-grow some hair (never worked) before transplant. I stopped using minoxdil until two week before my transplant, and the red mark faded but not all the way. after surgery i was fine until day 10 when i used Nioxin (no-medicated) shampoo to was my hair for the first time. The red dry mark returned. I never had this problem with Nioxin before (been using for over 10 years). I contacted Dr. and he said everything should be fine to just stop using Nioxin and change to a gentler shampoo. Its day 11, i changed shampoos and the red mark seems to be fading very little. Has anyone experienced these type of problems before and if so any ideas. and do you think graphs will be ok? the hair wear the red patch is seems to be fine.

Thanks for the kind words! I know Dr. K and all his staff are nothing but the best! I believe it was approx 2700. I will keep updating as time progresses.

Actually both. They just took staples out yesterday. I have to go back Friday and see if sutures are ready to be removed. I have been wearing a neck brace for sleeping and around the house. Is it common to have both? Btw Dr K did all my work. He and his staff have been nothing but the best! I could not ask for more. Cheers

Thanks for the reply. Went to see Dr K yesterday to have staples removed. Said the hair were just separated from bring dry. They look great wet! Lol. Dr K and his entire staff are great! Cheers

Got the 411 from the dr. It's when the scalp is dry the skin spreads out. Have to keep it watered with a spray bottle. Also got my staples removed yesterday. Going to get sutures removed Friday of everything looks good back there. Cheers

Might be worth the trip. He has people from all over the world coming to him. And he is no nonsense. Good luck. It's a stressful decision all around.

I would say make the trip to Chicago to see dr konior. He's is one of the best. He never leaves the room during the surgery and inserts all the graphs himself. Be worth the trip.
