  1. Great--Thanks for the input. Will touch base.
  2. Thanks for your responses. Magnum--the propecia has definitely lost its efficacy for me. I really did well in the beginning but now it appears it can't keep up with the hair loss progression. Very frustrating, given the side effects, to continue to take, but i have to in order to maintain what I can. I have also been using minoxidil more and more on the receding section and at times I am convinced it isn't helping but after reading people here discontinuing and wishing they hadn't, I so continue. I hate the wispy look it gives.
  3. I am 44. There were varying opinions. For example one surgeon said that my hair was too thick to try and match--meaning if he were to try and fix the receding it wouldn't match the thickness behind it..but I have definitely receded a good 1.5-2 inches, and it is not stopping. I have been on propecia for 15 plus years--did really well and just in the last 3 years I feel the shedding is brutal. I can just feel it receding and thinning out and the minoxidil seems to be making it sooooo wispy. But I assume it would be worse off without the minoxidil. Another surgeon said that I was too "mental" about it and needed to see a therapist...lol.
  4. My hairline is definitely receding and I would say probably a 2a, stage wise. I have seen six different hair transplant specialists. Each, except for one has said they think I am not a candidate at this time. Despite that, my mind obesses and I continue to pursue a solution. Therefore I am interested whether anyone has taken the approach of getting the alleys and the receding section filled in, but over time. This would most likely involve several visits but would be easier to disguise. I would imagine this would have to utilize fue, but was wondering if there are any success stories of someone doing as such. I somehow envision the future of transplants heading in this direction and would appreciate any thoughts/comments.
  5. How real is it to have a HT--mostly frontal/receding area and not have anyone notice after two weeks or so? My greatest fear seems to be, as I am light skinned that I will not be able to conceal it. And how long really till you can walk around without anyone noticing? Secondly, for anyone who has had a 1000-2000 hairline ht, are you still freaking out about continued hair loss and the area behind the new transplanted area? Thanks.
