I would like to tell you about my experience with Dr Ozlem Biçer. I suffered with male pattern hair loss on my hairline and crown area for a good few years before I even considered a hair transplant. It got to the point where I was balding enough for it to get me down and bother me every day, so a year ago I researched the best hair transplant doctor in Turkey, I wanted a company where a DOCTOR themselves did the procedure (not someone who wasn’t fully qualified). I was so lucky to come across Dr Biçer and her PA Özen. In March 2020, days before lockdown, I flew out to Turkey for my procedure. I wasn’t interested in limousines and 5* hotels/the packages that other hair transplant companies were offering, I just wanted the BEST doctor and the BEST outcome. They recommended me a hotel to stay in (walking distance from the clinic), and I had the transplant done the next day. The procedure took 12 hours, and was done by Dr Biçer herself and her team. I was made to feel as comfortable as possible, they made me lunch and I felt well accommodated and in very good hands. My results speak for themselves... my hair is just incredible, and I am so happy. I have recommended Dr Biçer to everyone, and have had a few friends fly out to Turkey since and they have had the same procedure done (and they are over the moon). I will always speak highly of Dr Biçer, she is amazing at what she does. Thank you Dr Biçer, you gave me the best results and my confidence back, and I couldn’t be happier. For anyone considering a hair transplant with Dr Biçer, do it. It will change your life! - Jake Taylor

I received more pictures of the patient in question, and can confirm it’s not Deb1982, case of mistake identity. I’ve sent you a pm.

For full transparency to the community,  I’ve decided to remove the post from this thread. It’s not something I want an ethical doctor like Bicer being associated with, especially if it’s not true.

Absolutely understood , Dr Bicer’ work looks excellent.. would love to see some comb through 👍🏻

How long did you use Minoxidil and how did it impact your hair loss after stopping it?

I was on minoxidil for almost 12 months and just before my surgery stopped and don't feel like coming back to it.

I’m not sure it had a positive or negative effect for me , I used myself minox for at least 12 months religiously ! Didn’t wean off it either but fortunately didn’t shed as I don’t believe I had any gains due to the minox .

Thanks for updating us through the years. Are you on anything else such as nizoral shampoo and/or supplements?

Nothing other than finasteride , I was using minoxidil for a while but didn’t feel that it helped and was a pain to use . Tried nizoral but again no known benefits, work out stay fit and proscar every other day at the moment ... my hair is in absolutely fantastic shape at the mo but starting to go grey !!! 😆🙈.... I can handle grey hair but no hair would have been difficult for me .

I was on and off. Every time I’ve been on it , I would have great results but I’m not sure if it’s all in my mind but I seem to not have a good erection if at all. I recently met someone so I had to kill off finasteride and my wood came back but at the same time my hair started thinning again and it’s only been 2-3 months since I gave up the pill.

thats why I’ve been really considering hair Transplant. I’ll get a picture here soon.

is anyone else here having the side effects when on the pill ? Or is it all in my head?

Personally I wouldn’t eve go down the the HT route without using fin , unless your one of the lucky guys with minimal loss .

The key is catching the loss early , I wish I’d got on it 5 years earlier . It took me seeing my crown start to open up to start looking at hair loss meds ... I’m ashamed to say I actually ordered some random drug called provillus prior to finding this forum and Spex who lead me to dr edgar’s prescriptions! My pictures are the proof of just how effective finasteride is !

did you/have you noticed any major shedding cycles with your hair? I have been going on a huge rollercoaster of regrowth, to a major shedding, to regrowth, to shedding, etc...

    wondering when this will stabilize...

    my thread here: https://www.hairrestorationnetwork.com/topic/53087-finasteride-results-6-months/

Hi, I’ve never really noticed any shedding per se . Although I did stop taking for a while and I just felt the quality of my hair was negatively effected . I have personally never had any known side effects apart from massive improvement to my hair :)

  7. Rooneys best option would have been to shave and grow a great stubble beard , I think his skin tone is too fair for smp

Rooney definitely went too aggressive with his hairline and overall approach but I’m assuming he was told he would get his hair back not the look he has now .... with all the concealers he has to apply he looks as though he has weetabix crushed all over his head !!

Check out stuart broads hairline work today on sky sports , looks pluggy and lacks any real density.... slavan Bilic (football manager) is another average result and he was the right age and appeared to have great donor characteristics.

Ive seen slaven bilic up close and then amount of concealers used were pretty obvious and looked a bit naff imo

below a pic of bilic without concealers .

  8. I’m beginning to think that some of these poorer results are more common than we actually find out about , there are 2 main stream fue results that really set alarm bells ringing especially as both a big sports stars in the uk (Wayne Rooney , Stuart broad) and could prob afford to go to any clinic in the world . Both results lack any kind of density and have in my option left the patients looking worse than when they started .... the term “illusion of density” is one I have read for years , is this the excuse given by ht doctors as a kind of get out clause if the results they sell to you in the consultation room don’t come to fruition ??

In any case I suppose what I’m trying to get across is YOU WILL NEVER GET BACK YOUR TEENAGE HAIRLINE any doctor who says you can should be avoided . The key is to be conservative with your grafts and don’t expect density , even after surgery you are going to have to style your hair or use products such as fibres or sea salt spray etc to give better coverage to what is basically a thin patchy head of hair covered in scars .

I have researced for years and visited various doctors in a hope to get my hairline restored but unfortunately I never felt comfortable enough to pull the trigger as I always felt there was something not quite right .

To all you young guys chasing your hairline , sit back get on some hair loss meds and wait . I personally don’t think fue is the answer ..... don’t be a victim to marketing , none of the surgeons share there below par results for a reason .

Please see see a picture of Stuart broad below
