Hey thanks for responding. I have spoken to someone at a hair transplant clinic and was told to use it for 4 months to know whether it would work for me... I find so many mixed reviews on the net as to how long to try Minoxidil to know whether its working for you ! Well i gues i'll try it for another month or two see whether i get any improvements. I have also had a buzz cut at a grade 1 so that i can ensure the minox soaks into my scalp and not into my hair !

Hi guys, I was hoping if someone can help advise me on the following.... I have been experiencing thinning of hair around the crown and top part of my head over the last few years and decided to use Generic Minoxidil (Kirkland 5% Extra Strength) as I have hair on my head but just thinning and have been hoping to thicken the existing hairs. Been using minox now for 5 months and no results. Infact the hair has shedded from the initial shedding caused by Minox (using it religiously twice a day) and has not grown back to this day. I look thinner now then at the start of the treatment and reviews have stated that this is a temporary thing which only lasts a few weeks.. Is this a indication that this is not working for me and I should stop as the bottle indicates to discontinue use if no results are made in 4 months ? p.s - I tried propecia 2 years ago but discontinued use after sexual side effects
