  1. thank you danny, congratulations to you too. the numbness on the top of my head is still there and It doesn't seem to be getting better I will speak to Dr. Melike tommorrow and get her advice. the nurse should have advised you with regards to washing your hair but you want to be gentle as the grafts have not yet settled in yet. you want to apply the shampoo to the back of the hair and apply the foam from the back of your hair to the frontal area, gently massaging the top with the tip of your fingers in a circular motion, avoid scratching it with your nails as this can pull out the grafts. Also when you're sleeping make sure your head is raised with the help of few pillows as this position allows more blood to flow to your head. I should be getting the staples removed this saturday and will update you on how it goes. I've also booked an appointment for 21 Oct to get further 1200 grafts for the hair line.. already feeling nervous. cheers clipper
  2. Hi Bill, I have been using Avodart since June but stopped due to the side effects. Yes I am aware as Dr. Paeffgen adviced that I start back on Propecia to stop further thinning/loss. I have been using Minoxidil for over 8 months and have had great results.. Once the staples are removed and the frontal area healed I'll give Propecia a try in combination with Minoxidil. Lets just hope the side effects are mild this time Another quick question, I know it's normal for the donor area to be numb and been told that this can take some time for it to dissapear but the top of my head is still numb and was wondering if this is to be expected, I have no feeling whatsoever thanks for your advice and will keep you all updated clipper
  3. I will be going back in December to get a further 1200 grafts for the frontal area (hairline) and will keep you all updated on the progress
  4. Hi, I have been lurking the forum for a while and must say it has been a great tool of resource. I have finally taken the plunge after some extensive research and decided to have my HT performed by Dr. Melike Kulahci Paeffgen at the Transmed clinic in Istanbul/Turkey. Initially I was told I would need 3000-3500 grafts to reach my desired appearence but on the day Dr Paeffgen adviced on having 2800 grafts using FUT. This was bumped to 2971 grafts 1's= 340 2's= 527 3's= 1764 4's= 340 Giving a total of 8046 individual hairs Smile I would again like to thanks all those at Transmed for making this experience as smooth as possible and to all those on this forum who have some how encouraged me to take the next big step in getting my HT I'll post some pics in a short while..
