Hey MJ0101
You were one of the few patients at the time, who had great results with dr Tejinder Bhatti and convinced me to travel all the way to India and have my Hair Transplant.. and Im glad I did. I just wanted to say Thank You for uploading your results on HRN../ All the best.
Niko. I'm glad things worked out for you.

I'm a bit late to the party but there isn't even a comparison between FUE and FUT. FUE is clearly the best method around. I've had my procedure done with Dr. Bhatti and have absolutely 0 scars.....none. Here is a link to a thread with my experience with Dr. Bhatti. Below are the results in pictures. If my memory serves me correctly, it's been about 3 years now and not a day goes by that I'm not glad I've had the procedure.

I'll dig through my collection and post it. If not, I'll take some.

Time for a 2.5 year update
I'll make this quick, short, and to the point. Best money I have ever spent. The biggest lesson learned to date? Use Rogaine post-treatment to sustain results as recommended by Dr. Bhatti. The reason why I say lesson is because I didn't for a while and saw a bit of thinning. I'll let the pics do the talking as to where things stand today including a comparison with the original shot I took prior to surgery.

Hi,
Newbie here. I've been researching and lurking for sometime now and I've come to the conclusion to have Dr. Bhatti do my HT.
I'm a Norwood 3 and he said I'll need between 2500-2800 grafts. I'm trying to organize and calculate my travels and expenses. When I ran your numbers, I was a little perplexed on how you came to $6K USD.
I too am from the states and would probably leave from JFK. I'm assuming that all the expenses will be similar, except for the cost of the HT. I think the difference may be the plane ticket; because of the time of year you went.
I was wondering if you can kindly share a complete break down of your expenses. Here is what I came up with. Please let me know if I'm missing anything or should consider.
Premium Package @ $1.25; 2800 grafts = $3500
Airline Ticket - Early August = $1600 +/-
Plane from Delhi to CH and back = $250
Hotel 2 nights = $120
Visa = $100
Food = $50
Cab from hotel to office and back = $50
Unforseen = $100
___________________________________
HT = $3500
Expenses = 2270
Total = $5770
In calculating yours, your HT would have costed $4,687.5, alone.
That leaves $1,312.50 for everything else.
Actually, you did provide a breakdown in your post. I'm just trying to figure out where the break is.
And, either way, I'll be saving approximately $22,400!!!! @ $10 a graft at a well know surgeon in NY.
The difference may be in the travel cost associated with the time of the year.

Some great pics there And amazing results.
I am also about to book up with Dr Bhatti for April of this year for 3500-4000 grafts. My only concern is if I have to grow my hair. I have shaved my head for as long as I can remember, and would really like to continue to do so.
I noticed from your pre op pics that you look like you used to shave too? Did you just let it grow after you had the procedure?
That's correct. I just let it grow after the procedure. More pics coming up.

I recently had a consultation with Dr Bhatti and I am considering him for a 4500 FUE grafts. However, I am not very happy with the hairline he drew for me. My natural hair line is good 2 cm below than the hairline he drew for me.
Is it recommended to have your transplanted hairline go above the natural hair line. Shouldn't we just keep it as low as the natural hairline is ?
That's an interesting point as I too wanted a lower hair line. Dr. Bhatti said that there was nothing worse than someone knowing you had "work done" and took my ethnicity and age into consideration. I can tell you that while I was skeptical of the rationale at first to this day I have not had a single person tell that I had any work done. On the contrary, no one believes me when I tell them

My flight was cheaper by about $400 and I paid a little less per graft. I also took a car from and to Dehli, which cut the cost down by a $100. I don't want to sound dismissive, but at the end of the day as you said it yourself, you are saving 10-20K so trying to pinpoint where each dollar is going to be spent may be of limited value at this time.

I did. Apologies for not posting it yet. I'll take a few pics and upload them within the next couple of days.

Are you referring to your original hairline? I too had same questions about my hairline, but one thing Dr Bhatti assured me is that the worst mistake you can make is for it to look fake. Dr Bhatti takes into consideration your age and ethnicity while going through the consultation. This is important. I remember taking the marking tool and drawing what I thought was the "right" hairline. After a thorough discussion I agreed to trust him on the decision. Let me just say that it was the right thing to do as NO ONE can tell I had a transplant. Additionally, the way I look at it is that I can always get more or an adjustment should you really dislike it (which I am sure you won't) but it's impossible to go the other way once you put too much of it up front.

Thanks. It did wonders for my self confidence and literally changed my life. More pics coming soon.

Looking good so far. Do you have any pictures of the top of your head?
I'll snap a few and post them soon.

Adam,
I went through Travisa Outsourcing and applied for a 180 day tourist via. Everything cost about $100.
pradeepkr,
I'll dig through some pics and should be posting some soon. Left and right patterns are different to look natural yet proportionate and def not a concern.

MJ0101,
It is great to see your post and pictures and hear that you had a very positive experience. You almost hit 4000 grafts!
I noticed one thing that's funny, is that for the 7-10 days after the procedure I REALLY liked the appearance of my hairline. As the grafts are in and healing, the front hairline is really defined. I found myself looking in the mirror as I did the cleaning/washing regimen and admiring my new hairline.
Glad everything worked out well. I waited too late to book the Altius hotel, and when I called (no online booking that I found) they were full for the first night. Interesting to hear that you opted for the land/car route from Dehli to Chandigarh. I had to overnight in Dehli, and with the time spent at the airports, 5 hours is not out of the question. For me the best plan would have been taking a car upon arrival into Dehli direct to Chandigarh so I did not have to overnight in Dehli. Then flying out after the surgery since I would be catching a connecting flight in Dehli out of the country.
Keep posting your progress pictures and we can compare notes!
Yea. I was not a fan of the drive but the connecting flight was too close of a call and my procedure was already scheduled. I agree that taking a connecting flight would have been a better option but this was a small burden to pay for the desired product. I'll post some additional pics next week to show progress.

GNX1,
I see you got your answer about the new facility. Also, you make some excellent points in your post. Personally, I think that the tools used are only as good as the hands they're in. For me, the end result (provided there is no scarring and adverse effects) is the benchmark for success. Attaching a few pics close to one week after procedure. I can now say that despite being able to return to work 2-3 days after the procedure, I would recommend full 7 days before returning to work. This time will minimize the "shock" factor of your co-workers and make the transition a little smoother. This is not to be confused with the ability to do actual work and function, which for me stayed unaffected even immediately after the procedure.
Regards....

If u can show more photos after your HT that would be great. How did you find the James Hariris punch machine that dr Bhatti uses.
The James Harris puncher Is very good. It does not get hot and consequently, damage the roots. In turn, this results in a higher yield. I will post some pics soon.

I chose the first package at 1.3USD per graft. I am very optimistic about the outcome, but will let the pictures do the talking as time progresses. Everything described in the package was just as promised. There were no "gotchas." The personal attention I received throughout the process was amazing. As I mentioned before, Dr, Bhatti currently offers an unbeatable price/quality proposition. This may be the reason why his demand is forcing him to open up a brand new facility 4x the size of the existing clinic.

Thanks. I will be updating this thread periodically (monthly) to show progress.

I wish I could count them but I can tell you this. My results spoke for themsevles. My best friend recently decided to give it a go and I'm coming along for support. Perhaps, I'll ask doctor Bhatti how many are left and I'll make sure he posts a writeup.
